Here are 27 different ways to wear permanent shades of Sydney Grace Eyeshadows! I’ve shared around 30 different looks while reviewing the line over the last four months, so I’ve included five here but went for new combinations for the other quad concepts!

About This Series

Each look idea is centered around a “quad” of four shades with the expectation that one might bring in the appropriate brow bone or additional transitional shade based on skin tone. I know that I tend to use more like five or six shades in a typical look, but I think that four is a happy medium to give a good idea of the “core” color scheme of a look while giving you the ability to lighten/darken as desired. I have listed the colors in this order: inner lid, middle of lid, outer lid/crease, and crease/above crease.

You might see combinations that seem slightly repeated but placement will vary (e.g. a halo placement where the lightest and more shimmery shade is placed on the center) as placement can also create a different effect/look! You might also want to consider incorporating your favorite matte/shimmer shades (as applicable) to increase the versatility of certain palettes. Consider these ideas a jumping off point!

OMG Christine – this is AMAZING – just adore these combinations, and really it doesn’t have to be SG eyeshadows – the dupes of the shades will do. Love the charming and evocative names of all the sets too. The varying combinations are suited to all different preferences for colour and finish.
My favourites are:
Hidden in Gold
Warm Fuzzies (I would use a plum shade)
Garden Greenery
Autumn Leaves
Earthly Goddess
Harvest of Neutrals and
Sun on the Everglades.

Loads of inspiration right up above! Thank you for putting together all these various color-ways, some of which even I would not have thought of before! Now to try to separate out my WL picks and put them up against the templates shown in order to see if I can get some very interesting quads out of my WL.

Thank you so much for doing these quad ideas! I tend to get stuck in a rut with my SG singles just because of their placement in their palettes. Volcano’s Edge is my favorite! My go to combo is Hot Stuff, Midnight Gold, and Chocolate Bar for an wearable but impactful workday eye. I am definitely bookmarking this page!

Beautiful. I wonder how much it costs to purchase every single shadow from Sydney Grace? I might have to look at that when my no buy is over!! Between the SG shadows and my Pat McGrath I could throw away all my other palettes and still be able to create a million looks. Thank you again for these posts, Christine. I am only half kidding about buying them all, LOL!!

Just had to laugh, as I checked the blog as I was getting ready for night job, with SG cooler neutrals in wintertime, somber, officer, and cool brown. With Burberry midnight blond masc and Zoeva nude awakening liner. Must have been channeling you before I started…..thanks.

You always come up with the best color combos. I’m bookmarking this page, even though I don’t have any SG shadow yet. I’m pretty sure I can dupe a lot of these.

I love this post, so helpful. I’ve been thinking of trying these and this really helps to see them organized like this. My most likely is harvest of neutrals but maybe with switching out recruit for one of the mattes like puppy or vanguard. Thank you!

Love the quad combinations that you put together, Christine. Very inspirational! SG is new to me, so this helps me make shade decisions among an overwhelming amount of choices.

YAS finally reviewing indie eyeshadow brands – check out Devinah Cosmetics too! Some are excessive in fall-out but there are also beautiful, pigmented RARE shades of blue-purple matte eyeshadows (Remi, Push, Aria, Kaia) in their lines. Now if only I could ever find nice matte cobalt eyeshadows (sigh, I guess MAC Cobalt and Atlantic Blue will have to do for now but its just not pigmented!) Giving those indies some love <3

You are so talented! Thanks for the help and guidance! One question: when I clicked on “Harvest of Neutrals” you listed “General” in the crease, but in the other list under the same look, it was not included. Is that fabulous green General or something else?
