Skin Tone/Coloring: Light neutral skin tone, green eyes, salt & pepper hair
Favorite Look: Lately, I’ve been doing a one-color eye look using shades like MAC Omega, Colourpop Clubhouse, and other cool neutrals in my crease, which allows me to have fun with my lipstick for my daytime looks. For today’s question, I thought I’d share a lip look I did that I really liked. First, I lined my lips with NYX Purple Rain Slim Lip Liner, blending it inwards about 1/8 inch. Then I dabbed on a bit of Dior Addict Lip Glow in Berry, then topped it with MAC’s All Fired Up lipstick. (Note: In the final look, it was blended so it didn’t look like there was a purple outline.) It was a really pretty look and stayed on quite well, even through deliciously greasy eggrolls! My husband not only admired the color, he actually said he liked the “texture” (he meant the finish…lol).
Most Used Products: Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup, Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, RCMA No Color Powder, ABH Brow Wiz
Beauty Discoveries: I rarely wear doe-foot lipsticks, but I bought a set of NARS VLG minis many months ago, which turned out to be kind of a waste because I rarely used it. But today I discovered that within that set is my most perfect MLBB shade: Swing.
Your lip combo sounds beautiful!
Your skin tone/coloring: Under my name; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes.
Favorite look from the week: EYES — UD Primer Potion in Enigma. Wander Beauty Wanderess Chill Palette: Freestyle (crease and lower lid), Cocoa (outer V and true crease), Snowbird (brow bone), and Flushed (foiled on lid); MUFE Artist Shadow in I-218 Indigo Blue (lower lash line). UD 24/7 Eye Pencil in Perversion (upper waterline) and Perversion Mascara. LIPS — MAC Finally Free. CHEEKS — Physician’s Formula Butter Blush in Plum Rose. FACE — NYX Angel Veil Skin Perfecting Primer; BH Cosmetics Naturally Flawless Foundation in Ivory; e.l.f. HD Powder in Sheer; Snowbird e/s from Wanderess palette as HL; Sephora Tranquil (contour); e.l.f. Original Mist & Set.
Your most used product this week: Wander Beauty Wanderess Chill Palette — I can’t remember which Temptalia reader mentioned it, but it was so pretty I got it. It’s a nice little plum-toned palette. Whoever it was, thanks!
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): Just that I need to get out of my plummy neutral makeup rut. I’ve been in it for a few weeks now. It seems to be what I’ve been defaulting to this last year when I’m really busy and/or tired. The pretty colors make it too easy, but I feel guilty for not using my other makeup.
Your skin tone/coloring: light neutral beige with hint of olive green
Favorite look from the week:
Viseart Liason palette with blushing above crease, fusion in crease, haze on outer 2/3 and lower lash, ecstasy outer corner, tight lower lash and sydney grace regal smoked on top of the look. Regal is a killer fabulously pigmented mid toned cool purple. Viseart Tingle on inner 1/3 lid lined inner corner with sydney grace velvet. Milk boss to tightline, NYX faux brights liner in seashell on lower water line. Zoeva graphic liner in new jewels pushed into lower lash line.
Your most used product this week: natasha denona lipstick in natural lilac rose, with bite beauty lip liner #50. My current go to.
Any…
Just a shout out for sydney grace shadows in general with special mention as above to the shade Regal and also Kevyn Aucoin sculpting powder in shade light.. diffuses so well and the colour looks quite hideous in the pan, but it’s a beautiful natural looking contour shade for me and finally, Sonia G Face Pro brush which has replaced my beloved but much abused Hakuhodo S100
Yes to Regal. WTF happened to Zoeva liner pencils? Hope they aren’t gone for good.
I know! Mine are coveted from the original boxed collection.. when was that 2014, 2015? There are more than a few shades that are my ROD. UD pencils, purples in particular, are not as bright and feel super waxy in comparison. And absolutely nothing compares to Myth. Oy!
Skin tone / coloring medium tan with neutral undertones
Favorite look lately ? I must have Spring fever because I’m leaving my darker vampier lip for a brighter lighter look .
Discovery’s , Yes!
I found a really fun inexpensive eyeshadow palette by Flower Beauty called “Wanderlust “ in the color “Austin””
Such a pretty color paette which is giving me inspiration for a whole fresh spring look .
Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones
Favorite look from the week: Yesterday (today is Sunday here in Aus), because I was ‘modelling’, i payed extra attention to my look. I decided to go for a more neutral look, seeing it was an autumn themed clothes release: I used the Sultry palette – Rose Quartz on the lid, with the dark brown matte lightly in the crease, with Ember on the lower lid. I paired it with the Colour Pop Gallop lippie. Very nice.
Your most used product this week: Apart from my staples, I have been using different eye palettes and lipsticks all week.
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): The only discovery is that I am really like A’kin skincare products for dry skin on me. They are fairly inexpensive, especially when on sale, you only need a small amount on your face and it seems to work really well. There is no discernible fragrance either.
Your skin tone/coloring: fair/cool skin (my best foundation match is Fenty Pro Filt’r 110; other matches include Urban Decay All Nighter 2.5, NARS Natural Radiant Longwear 2.0 Mont Blanc, Kevyn Aucoin The Etherealist Skin Illuminating Foundation Light EF 02, and L’Oreal True Match C3 Creamy Natural), gray eyes, brown hair with red highlights and scattered blonde/blue strands
Favorite look from the week: My semiregular Thursday look, inspired by the Planetary Union division colors from The Orville: Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin 10 Ivory concealer/Fenty 110/Tarte Amazonian Clay Unstoppable blush as base, UD Chaos on lid, UD Baja in crease, 1 coat of UD Double Team Deep End (just the cream mascara end without the matching topcoat), L’Oreal Colour Riche Collection Exclusive Eva’s Red lipstick.
Your most used product this week: Probably Tarte Unstoppable.
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): That most people really don’t notice if you don’t get your eyeshadow just right (yesterday my right eye didn’t get as much pigment on as my left eye and no one noticed).
