Ciate Jessica Rabbit Glitter Storm Lipstick Review & Swatches
Jessica Rabbit
Ciate Jessica Rabbit Glitter Storm Lipstick ($22.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a bright, ruby red with cool undertones and multi-colored glitter (I saw mostly pink and gold). The texture felt noticeably glittery in the tube and during application, which was textured enough that I definitely could feel all of the glitter as I applied the product to my lips. Those who are particularly sensitive to glitter in their lip products will likely find this too gritty, but those who don’t find that to be a deal-breaker, keep reading. It had nearly opaque pigmentation that adhered evenly and didn’t emphasize my lip texture, which I owed to the lightly glossy finish. The color wore well for five and a half hours with minimal glitter travel, while the formula was lightly hydrating over time.
It appears to be out of stock on Sephora’s site, but it is still available at Ciate.

Formula Overview
$22.00/0.12 oz. - $183.33 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have a "full-color base" with "star-like pigments" that give "three-dimensional shine and shimmer." The pigmentation ranged from medium to opaque, depending on the shade, though I'd say most were fairly pigmented. The consistency was lightweight, creamy without being heavy or thick, and the color went on fairly evenly. In general, I felt like they could have applied a bit more evenly overall but the high-shine, sparkly/metallic finish often camouflaged imperfections in the application when seen at a normal viewing distance. I could feel the glittery texture in two shades as I applied--Cosmic and Elektra--but the other shades were very smooth and cream-like; even with Cosmic and Elektra, it was just "this is a glittery lipstick" in level of feel, by no means rough or painful to use! They lasted between four and six hours and were lightly hydrating over time.

Love, love and love that lipstick and your eye look is just sensational Christine.
The color is lovely, but as much as I love cool-toned reds, I think the texture would drive me nuts. How noticeable was texture after an hour or so, Christine? It looks very pretty on you!
So pretty! Man, I love this far more than my tube of PMG Rebel Red, because it has more depth and perhaps more warmth due to the golden glitter. ?
This reminds me of MAC Rocker
I usually like glittery lipsticks, but only if they’re minimally glittery (if that makes sense). This looks bit too glittery. Pretty though.
Wow, I adore this color! Unfortunately, I know without a doubt that the gritty texture of the glitter would drive me insane. Sadly that makes it a deal breaker for me. Grrr such a shame, as I have a weakness for red lipstick. Oh who am I kidding, make that lip products in general. I have an obscene amount of lip products in my stash and I love it!!!
This is everything I was going to say!!! 🙂
It looks a lot like Sugarpill’s Petrol, but Petrol doesn’t feel gritty.
Yes! I saw Petrol while browsing ulta yesterday and had the same thought.
I wonder how does this compare to the Chanticalle Carnelian crystal lipstick? I hope you get to review those lipsticks.
Sorry, I don’t have those.
I’m curious to know if the glitter is just on the outside of the lipstick or if it’s contained within the formula throughout the whole tube?
There is glitter throughout!
Wow! I love the bullet and the packaging so much!! I probably won’t purchase it, as it’s not a color that I like to see on myself, but man….that’s something I’d get just to have and look at sometimes.
This is absolutely stunning! I had to order it. I love Jessica Rabbit; she’s a classic.
That’s fascinating-looking in the tube — did it actually have that micromesh texture, or is that an artifact of the photo-taking process?
It seems to have that along the exterior – I don’t see it on the slanted tip of the lipstick or throughout!
All I can say is “Wow!” on the Jessica Rabbit lipstick. It’s stunning and I wish I could find Ciate here so has to just purchase this lipstick. I really like the texture in the tube, as it almost makes me not want to touch it, it’s soooooo beautiful!
How do these compare to the Tom Ford lip spark lipsticks?
