Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones
Favourite look from the week: Used Sultry palette this week, with the Steampunk shade on the lid, Twig in the crease, with a smidgeon of Ember softly over it all. Combined with Colour Pop’s Brown Sugar Cinnamon lipstick.
Your most used product this week: A cross between Bonne Etoile and City Colour singles in Cleo (gold/copper), Sandstorm (warm brown metallic) and All Eyes on Me (warm taupe) as it has been so hot.
Favourite lipsticks have been EA Ginger Spice, Clarins Cinnamon Spice.
And of course, lots and lots of sunscreen.
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): Going through my quad, duo and smaller eyeshadow palettes bag, I came across a duo and a quad I have hardly ever (or never really used). The EA duo of Mystic Teal and the bareMinerals The Elements (which does contain Editor’s Pick – one of the best teals around). But I just don’t like the grey shades that go with it. As it so happens, my daughter in law was looking fo a soft blue and teal eyeshadows….so I gave them to her. She absolutely loves them and they work perfectly on her completely cool toned complexion. For Christmas I bought her a Nude by Nature brush set (they are equivalent to MAC or better in quality), so she can really apply her eyeshadows properly.
Your skin tone/coloring: above
Favorite look from the week: I recreated Christine’s Signs of Spring look with shadows from the BH Zodiac and Aurora Lights palettes, paired with Clinique Raspberry Pop lipstick.
Your most used product this week: Bite Chai lipstick, mostly because I was trying to burn through some of the less-loved freebies taking up space. But then I realized I actually kind of like it with certain outfits…
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): We were gone for a couple of weeks over the holidays, so I was glad to get back to the stuff I left behind (and realize that there were some things I didn’t really miss)!
Your skin tone/coloring: fair, cool
Favorite look from the week: all my basics (concealer, blush, etc.) but nothing more than Mac Painterly and Sephora Cappuccino liner on my eyes. It was a real “less is more” moment!
Your most used product this week: moisturizer, moisturizer, moisturizer, topped by Estee Edit Teat+Prep+Glow “stuff”
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): two “oldies” – Tarte’s Aqualillies palette (I love that “oldie”) and Laura Mercier Healthy Lips lipstick (it’s more like a gloss) – I don’t even know if this is still available but what I love is that I can apply it without a mirror so whenever my lips feel dry, I can pull it out of my schoolbag and swipe it on.
