We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

I love ABH Sundipped, That Glow, and Sweets. I purchased the Tarte wheel in November and am just starting to experiment with it. ( so far, I say, meh)
I think it may be time to switch to a cream formula for the winter months.

LOVE the MAC Sweet Copper compact, so much that I got a backup! The Whisper of Gilt is so pretty, but the absolute surprise was the copper shade, Pleasure Model, on me it’s beautiful warm blush with complex shimmer, and the color is unique to my stash. Also thought that Tarte Color Wheel was a steal – 10 blushes in elegant packaging for $44, perfect for gift giving to others or to oneself.

Generally, cheek palettes just don’t work for me because (a) most will contain coral and peach colours along with the lovely pinks and berries and those warmer colours simply do not work for me and (b) I don’t find the size of a cheek palette very practical. I was perfectly find being away for almost 3 weeks with just ONE blush (my fave non LE one which is Tarte Natural Beauty). I think the only cheek palettes I own are 2 from IT Cosmetics – CC+ Radiance and the Live, Love, Laugh Vitality Face Disc; one from Sephora from a few years back called “The Bronzed and Blushing Face Palette” and a very old trio from MAC’s A Tartan Tale. I have to force myself to remember to use these by taking them out of the drawer ahead of time as they’re just not things I remember to use because I find the size of all of them sort of impractical.

There were so many great face palette releases in 2016. Some of my favorites were the BECCA x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Palette, BECCA Blushed with Light Palette, and Anastasia Sweets Palette (which I just got for Christmas and am loving!). I also picked up the Makeup Geek Kathleen Lights palette on Christmas Eve, but it’s not here yet, but I can’t wait to use it!
