Sneak Peek: Urban Decay Vice Lipsticks Photos & Swatches -- The Light Pinks

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick
Urban Decay Vice Lipstick

A short and sweet collection of the lighter pink/pink-leaning lighter shades (more beiges and true pinks still to come!) of the new Urban Decay Vice Lipstick ($17.00 for 0.11 oz.) shades. It is a new formula that will debut on June 5th. It will have 120 shades total, with 20 of those shades exclusively available at Sephora (subsequently, Sephora will not have 20 shades–each retailer will have 100 shades in total). There are six finishes, and some you’ll recognize; Cream = the original Revolution formula, Comfort Matte = the Matte Revolution formula, and Sheer/Sheer Shimmer = the Sheer Revolution formula. I hope to make some good progress on editing the remaining photos today, so stay tuned for more! 🙂 Thank you for your patience!

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

❤ Lovelight. Looks like a MLBB shade. The others look too light for me but the first 2, possibly 3, look like good layering lipsticks.

Hello! what is the color in the head photo, far left- it looks sort of bronze-y and it doesn’t look like any of the swatched ones.

Kristina Avatar

I would! They are wonderful for layering (bringing life to brown lipsticks) and for those of us with darker complexions; a full strength pale nude can look awful, but when it is less pigmented it looks very pretty. Even those who are fairer may like a natural look.

A sheer nude would be ideal for people who have a pretty strict workplace/school setting firstly. Secondly, people with highly pigmented lips who want a nude but dont want a very fussy nude can go for a sheer nude. To lighten up their makeup look or try to knock back the pigmentation of their lips without going full out nude. Also sheer nudes can be useful as more sheer lipsticks tend to be more hydrating, so if thats the case with these new lipsticks this would be a great option for someone who has drier lips more often than not and they can still wear a nude without looking like their lips are cracked to hell. Just because a sheer nude wouldn’t suit YOU doesn’t mean they’re worthless 🙂

I would. I have pigmented lips and opaque nude lipsticks look weird on me, but sheer nudes that just subtly lighten my lip color look good on me. Different strokes for different folks.

Will definitely buy this one and weirdo. And maybe 2 of the others.
So with the ones from yesterday I have 5-7 from 120 on my wishlist.

Are the tubes metal like the revolution tubes, or plastic like the Gwen tubes? They look metal to me so I am hopeful but I’m dying to know for sure!!

On the lips too many of this color set look far too similar, and I agree with an earlier poster who questioned the need for sheer nudes/light pinks? I’d rather just throw on a balm or clear gloss and save the money for a more pigmented lip color.

I am sorry but so far all the current swatches look like crap! They look dry, patchy and not at all like the originals. They sure did “reformulate” these and from just these swatches turned them into some rather unpleasant looking textures.

Meh, skip for almost of these. I need color on my lips, or I look washed out. But Whip & Lovelight might be a nice, glittery topper, will have to swatch in store

Gubby reminds me of the old lipstick shade, Peroxide. I always wanted Peroxide, but it never swatched well for me in person. I’ll be interested in seeing if Gubby’s an improvement!

Love UD in general. I avoid matte drying lipsticks bc my lips are usually dry. Loved about half these colors upon seeing applications.

Weirdo is almost an exact lipstick dupe of nars Turkish delight lip gloss. Does anyone else think that? I want it just cause of that
