Urban Decay Vice Lipstick
Urban Decay Vice Lipstick

Next up, the more fuchsia/berry-hued shades of Urban Decay Vice Lipstick ($17.00 for 0.11 oz.), which is a new formula that will debut on June 5th. It will have 120 shades total, with 20 of those shades exclusively available at Sephora (subsequently, Sephora will not have 20 shades–each retailer will have 100 shades in total). There are six finishes, and some you’ll recognize; Cream = the original Revolution formula, Comfort Matte = the Matte Revolution formula, and Sheer/Sheer Shimmer = the Sheer Revolution formula. I hope to make some good progress on editing the remaining photos today, so stay tuned for more! 🙂 Thank you for your patience!

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

I love the name Frenemy but not so wild about the colour! Jilted in this new formula looks so much nicer than the one I have (which has a bit of a metallic finish that I don’t like all that much). Crank looks SO different in the tube than it does swatched or on your lips. And finally, Phonecall, which looks sheer and disappointing in the swatch, looks lovely on your lips (can’t see your freckle!). That is one I will probably want to buy, assuming Sephora gets it.

Weird how Crank looks so different in bullet form — although a dozen people have probably said that already. I almost wish it had been the color of the bullet with that hot pink as a reflect.

I’m a sucker for these kinds of colours! So Firebird is being made permanent? That’s awesome, I love that lipstick! I’m a sucker for glitter too. I have the Big Bang lip gloss and the lipstick looks pretty too. 🙂

Whew, I already have Firebird (love!) but the rest are hard for me to pull off, but there are 20 other colors I’m eyeing

I’m really intrigued by Frenemy and Alpha, but I’ve never had much luck with Urban Decay lipsticks. Maybe the new formulation will work out, whenever it becomes available in my part of the world.

I have to say I’m in awe of all the hard work to get these posts up so soon. It’s fantastic!

Those are my favorites in this group too. I love your picture btw. I can sport a mean victory roll but I just can’t pull off the flowers. I think my hair is just too thin and wispy.

Oh thanks! I took that picture in a bathroom with really unflattering light but somehow it turned out well!

And I have the opposite problem of you, I can rock the flowers, but I’ve ended up in tears trying to do vintage-style hair 😉

If I wore any of these, I would create a universal whiplash of wtf looks. Regardless, they are a pretty sweet bunch. Funny, Iwould get less looks with Halsey or Petit Four. Firebird has become an instant classic. Some of these are radically different from tube to swatch. Thinking maybe this was a good move for UD.

These are my preferred colors. I already own Anarchy, Menace and Firebird. I quite like Frenemy but it seems very similar to Anarchy. Savage reminds me of some mixture between Wow pop and La Diva so that means I don’t need it because have both of that. I like the idea of Big Bang as a top coat kind of lipstick but that depends on how gritty the glitter is.

I am such a sucker for these colors. I must have at least 100 of these shades across different finishes and product lines, mostly high end. When my daughter and I visit Sephora or Ulta I end up walking around with 20 or 30 swatches of fuchsia’s and berries on my hands and arms. My daughter laughs and says, “Need a few more berry shades, huh Mom!” Over time she has managed to talk me into some reds, browns and even a coral or two but my heart will always belong to the deep pink, fuchsia and berry colors. Having said that, I think I own all of these that were from the older lines. I did not buy Phone Call when it came out because I didn’t care for the way it looked when swatched on-line. I did get the lip liner and love filling the whole lip with it and then adding just a little clear gloss. I love the look of Alpha and maybe Big Bang depending on how big the glitter is but would use it mostly as a topper. Overall, I am excited to see how all of these look in person and of course, look forward to your reviews Christine.

Provides it’s not a gritty, flake-inducing mess, Big Bang will eventually make its way home with me. I know creams and mattes have been the trend for awhile, but I haven’t completely given up my love for all things glitter bomb.

I think the original big bang lip gunk looked more like Firebird but it had big chunky blue glitter and I loved it. They also had a pale bright matte pink and it had big chunky silver glitter.
The lip gunks were like a liquid lip color. Opaque but sticky/goopy like a gloss or Mac lip glass. I’d much prefer a solid formula but I miss those two shades alot.
Maybe I could look for dupes for the colors minus glitter and add the glitter myself…
Does anyone else remember the lip gunks and any shades that stood out?

oh nice are the gwen shades permanent?! i love firebird. it’s so fun to top it with that opal topper by bite! as much as i hate the color pink, they’re some of my favorite lipstick shades to dream of wearing. haha
