The Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator formula is supposed to give a “translucent wash of luminous color” that can be used all-over or as a highlighter with a powder-cream hybrid texture. Long-time readers will know I have a fondness for this formula, so I was happy to see shade extensions! The biggest “downside” to the formula is that they’re really more pigmented than described, so if you really, really want something barely-there, then I’d say to look elsewhere; otherwise, they’re easy to use as a semi-sheer product or applied at more opaque coverage. To me, the formula would be better described as having medium, buildable coverage. Peach Glow is one of the more metallic, lightly sparkly shades in the range–it did emphasize the texture of my skin slightly when I applied it as I have done with the other three shades in the range. It can be applied without emphasizing pores, but it’s not as foolproof as the other shades. That being said, on my skin tone, it looks almost the same as Charming Pink (I triple-checked photos, because they were so similar) as they’re both light and slightly warm (which makes it worth pointing out that the range could really use medium-to-dark options for darker complexions). The texture was soft, blendable, and a smidgen dry. This shade lasted for eight hours on me.

Thinking this would look wunderbar over Zoeva Shy Beauty
Oooh, it would!
These are so pretty on you! I’ve never tried one of Laura Gellar’s Gelato Illuminators, but this and the pink one are both pretty to look at and pretty on.
One of my favorite formulas! Would recommend it if you like a moderate shimmer!
Wow, this is a sparkly one!
It is!
This peach highlight looks so pretty on you. Your skin looks amazing as it is but this gives you such a beautiful glow and looks really nice with your skin tone.
Thank you, Carolyn!
Pretty. Definitely calls for a fan brush in my case. I can’t go overboard with metallic highlighters or I just make myself look crazy old.
Totally understand, Nicole! I personally wish there wasn’t larger sparkle in it.
I love all the peachy shades coming out for spring. This one looks really good on you, Christine.
Thanks a lot, Rachel!
The shine on that is crazy!
It is!
this color is perfect on you
Thank you! 🙂
It’s weird how the two look SO similar! As I have just ordered MAC OtherEarthly Mineralize, I don’t think I’ll be grabbing any more highlighters this month. But I do love how LG ‘s blush and highlighter formulas look applied, very glowy! Yet, not OTT.
Luckily, these are permanent, and Laura Geller has some good sales on the regular (40% off, for example). The last sale she had didn’t apply to these (new), but hopefully next time around 😉
Oooh, another pretty shade!
It is very springy!
This is very pretty too, but I’d opt for the pink one over this one.
I think the pink one is a little more unique (lots of peach/gold/warm-toned highlighters out there) compared to this one.
This looks beautiful on you! I finally saw it in person and it looks even more gorgeous. I have a feeling that I’m going to end up buying it lol. It’s stunning!
Oh, nice! Happy to hear you liked it when you saw it, Fancie.
I loved the pink one but I love this too! Hopefully my local counter will have these for me to test so that I can see what they’re like on me. ?
Let me know if you can spot a greater difference 😉
Will do! I’m looking forward to seeing these in person. ?
I think I’m going to have to try one of these. Probably this one as I have several that are more pink.
I have noticeable pores on my nose so I use either Dr Brandts Pore More primer all over my face or Benefit Porefessional. They both have the advantage of filling fine lines and wrinkles too. Just a thought. It doesn’t require a lot of product.
Very pretty Christine x
Pass for me as I didn’t like the formula when I tried Gilded Honey. I was so disappointed I returned it. Looks good on you though!
Is it similar to Beccas Champagne Pop?
No, not at all… Champagne Pop is gold/yellow, this is pink-peach.
This one is pretty, but I think the pink one had a bit more intrigue for me.
Normally I don’t like to go overboard with highlighters on my fair skin but I do love peach and this would be perfect for summer. This looks lovely on you!
