Too Faced Love Flush Blush Palette Review, Photos, Swatches
Too Faced Love Flush Blush Wardrobe
Too Faced Love Flush Blush Wardrobe ($36.00 for 0.42 oz.) includes six, miniature-sized blushes–all six that exist in the Love Flush range. The palette contains $52 worth of blush, and it is a nice way to try six for less than the price of two full-sized ones. I love the concept, and I think the quality is on-par with or better than the permanent, individual pans that came out. The big takeaway is that I think the formula is better than it rates, as it primarily gets dinged for not lasting the 16-hours promised (wear is between eight and ten hours), so if getting half the stated wear-time isn’t a deal-breaker, the formula is well-worth a look, whether an individual shade or the palette. The shades were extremely consistent with the individual compacts I tested previously; I specifically tested the shades in the palette for quality and wear, but for the photos of the blushes on my face, those were taken from original reviews.
I know the most frequently asked question/made comment was with respect to the physical width/size of the pans, and they’re large enough for an average-sized blush brush to fit (I tried a Wayne Goss Blush Brush and MAC 159 Blush Brush), but even still, the reason why it works is there is enough space between each pan, so you do not have to worry about colors mixing. Also worth noting, the packaging is very long, so it is harder to store in an average-sized makeup bag.
Love Hangover is a light-medium, pink-coral with warm undertones and a luminous sheen. It had good pigmentation (more pigmented than the individual I have!) with a soft, blendable texture that was easy to apply and diffuse on the skin. It wore well for eight and a half hours on me. Justify My Love is a brightened, light-medium bubblegum pink with cool, blue undertones and a dusting of gold sparkle over a semi-matte finish. It had great pigmentation with a soft, smooth texture that was just a smidgen powdery, but it did not appear dry or powdery on the skin. The color wore well for almost nine hours. Your Love is King is a slightly muted, medium-dark rosy plum with warm undertones and a satin finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation with a soft, smooth, and blendable consistency that applied well and wore for nine and a half hours on me. It was easier to blend out the palette version than the compact version I have, though the palette version didn’t seem quite as bright swatched (but more similar applied). FORMULA SUMMARY | Too Faced Love Flush Blush Wardrobe ($26.00 for 0.21 oz.) is supposed to be an exceptionally long-wearing (16 hours), pigmented, and “buttery soft” blush. It’s a nice blush, but unsurprisingly, it doesn’t last 16 hours. Some shades last eight hours, others last a little closer to ten hours–it is nice wear for powder blush generally, but you’ll find that many shades’ ratings took a hit because of the 16-hour wear claim. The blush has a soft texture that’s just firm enough not to kick up a lot of excess powder, but it’s not too firm where you can’t get good color payoff when you use it. Pigmentation varied from shade to shade and ranged from semi-opaque to totally opaque, while the blush tended to blend well on the skin with a satin to luminous finish. The compacts may be a little hard to open if you have larger fingers/hands (like me), and sometimes I felt like the pattern made it harder to get good pigmentation out of the blush if I used a more feathery brush.

Christine, do you think the pans could be removed and put in a Z palette? The only thing holding me back on this is the awkward length.
I’m sure there is a way to depot, but I’m not a depotting pro by any means.
For what it’s worth, I’ve depotted every Too Faced item I’ve ever bought and I have to say, the cardboard packaging is hands down the easiest to work with. There’s probably less risk to the product with it than if you’re trying to depot from a plastic palette (like any of the recent urban decay ones).
My personal reccomendation would be to use a depotting tool (aka makeup spatula) and slide it in that seam at the bottom of the package. If you look in some of the photos, the cardboard that goes around the pans, and the bottom of the palette are two separate pieces (may or may not be obvious to you). Your goal would be to remove the cardboard that surrounds the pans because they’re simply glued to that bottom piece. So rip off the top flap of the palette (painful I know but you need it out of your way) then lay it face down on a paper towel to protect it. Slide that spatula in there to cut through the paper. Then you can keep it face down, or flip it over, but start to pry off just the cardboard and only the cardboard! Keep scissors nearby so you can cut off any pieces if it’s stubborn but this is a small palette so you probably won’t need them. Once all that’s gone you can just pluck the pans off at the end!
Seriously, once you do it once you’ll wish everyone used the cardboard packaging.
Having 3 of the full sized already, this puts me in a hard decision making place. Get the palette and have them all now and then some? Or continue to check them off progressively? Decisions, decisions. But, I do agree, the formula is excellent!
That is a tough place to be 🙁
Haha, I know! But, If now after seeing there are some differences, I’m thinking I may try to get this. But, I still have a few other priorities above it with Christmas and life. So, with the full sizes available, at least I don’t have to stress of I do pass it up.
Any idea of a launch date?
Too Faced has it on their website, and I believe Ulta did a 1-day preview a week or so ago for Platinum members!
Thanks! That means probably two things: 1) I may not have a lot of time. 2) I may be able to snag it with the 20% coupon. I didn’t see anything about no Too Faced or new stuff exclusions.
I’m so glad this rated as well as the larger pans. I’m snagging this for sure. I only have Baby Love in the full-size, but it’s quickly become one of my favorite nude blushes. I can’t wait to try out the other shades.
It is a great buy if you only have one! 🙂
I also only have Baby Love and it’s one of my favorite blushes!!! The color is just perfect I think. I’m definitely getting this too! 😀
Oh, yesI am getting this! I’m loving that the pans, though smaller, still allow a normal size brush to be used, and that, as you pointed out, there is enough space between each shade that cross contamination won’t be a huge issue if at all.
Yep! Even if you use a larger brush, you won’t have to worry about it getting into the shade next to it!
Lasting power wise, how would you say they compare to tarte blushes? Tarte is hard to get hold of in my country, and I *am* tempted by this too faced one because…six cute blushes 😛
Tarte lasts about the same – 8-10 hours!
Excellent! I think this will be a birthday present to self :’)
These are really great colours that would suit a lot of people and it is so cost effective. You could easily mix a few of these if you wanted a different effect. They looked lovely on you. A great buy I think.
Thank you, Genevieve!
I don’t have any of the top dupes or any of the Too Faced blushes so I might keep this on my list. I think I might rather spring for a few cheek pops and Hourglass ones because I know I love those formulas. It’s a cute set!
Oh, nice!
I know this is about blush, but I love your lip color. Will you tell us what you are wearing?
Sorry, I don’t have it written down in the original post (the face photos are from six months ago, so I totally don’t remember at all). Sorry again!
Oooohhh, I think you looked real pretty in some of these babydoll pink blushes!! Also this is a little off topic but I was just wondering, if you were to use a setting or finishing powder that blurs imperfections and pores, such as naked skin loose powder or something along those lines, and applied some sort of blush or highlight that usually would slightly emphasize pores on top, will it still emphasize using this technique? O would using something that blurs imperfections cancel out the emphasis?
It may or may not – kind of depends on how everything meshes together, so it’ll depend on your skin type, any primer, foundation, type of powder, and even the application. It could definitely help. Sometimes I’ll use translucent powder over a highlighter to tamp it down 🙂
I’ve been thinking about getting at least one of the individual blushes, this looks to be a great way to try them all, especially as I like all the colours!
It’s so cool that they put all six in a single palette!
I think I’m going to get this, since I only have one blush (a tarte one) in my entire collection and this looks like a good way to try out quite a few different colors without buying a bunch of individual ones!
Hope you love it, Marina!
I’m so glad I got this, I love it! And blush is probably my least worn makeup product so it’s going to last me forever lol.
So glad you snagged it, Chelsea!
I really like this blush palette! 16 hour longevity isn’t important to me, 8 hours will suffice. And I like the color range they choose. I own several of these blushes and like them. If I hadn’t just spent a lot of money on my custom Nars blush palette I would buy this!! Good price too!
Totally understand! 🙂 16-hours is a pretty crazy claim!
So adorable!!!
And the palette looks cute too.
😉
Seriously though, I really like the colors in this palette and even though I’m usually not one for blush palettes I’d actually consider getting this one.
Nice!
Christine, Will this be available at Sephora? Do you know where and when you can buy this. Sorry if you already mentioned this info before.
I’m not sure – Too Faced did not send me any info – all I have is what they’ve put on their website, sorry! 🙁
I really don’t like the hearts packaging but I don’t find it as annoying for the blushes as the eyeshadows for some reason… I love blush, I am definitely tempted, there’s a nice variety in there for sure and I never tried any of their products!!
It would be a great way to try ’em without spending a fortune!
I really like the look of this, I don’t have any blushes from Too Faced. This palette has such a good variety of colours, I might have to buy it. Must see first if it comes here, and how many bills must be payed after Christmas 🙂
Fingers crossed it makes its way to you!
I don’t have any of these blushes so It’s a perfect way to test them. And it’s a great selection of shades too.
It would be!
It’s always amazing to see how good you look in such a spectrum of colors. Really. It’s also surprising to me, that some colors I never thought of as dupes are quite close, like Tarte Elevated and Mood Exposure. That’s one of the fun things about the dupe swatches, the Who Knew? Factor. This would make a great gift. It seems the only drawback is portability. Is this LE?
My guess is it is LE, but Too Faced doesn’t say on their website (I don’t have official info from them).
This is such a cute palette! I have swatched a couple of the colors at Ulta, and am impressed with the formula. However, after checking my crazy big blush stash…I just can’t justify it. ?
When does this release at Sephora?
Do you know if this will be available at Sephora?
It is now!
I really wish they would’ve done 2 rows of blushes, rather than 1 long row. Makes it harder to find a place for it.
That is a good point!
Hi Christine,
Did I read somewhere Ulta will have this palette in the Spring?
It seems to be sold out everywhere, and I am just now finding out about it. :-/
I believe it is already sold out at Ulta!
Hi Christine! How would the too faced blushes compare to any of the Benefit blushes? Do you have a preference?
I prefer Too Faced’s formula, as it is more pigmented. Most of Benefit’s blushes barely show up on me, because their line seems catered to fair/light skin tone for the most part.
how would the too faced blushes compare to mac blushes?
thank you for your amazing helpful reviews 🙂
Too Faced’s blushes are softer 🙂
