MAC Objects of Affection/Pink + Plum Lipglass
MAC Objects of Affection/Pink + Plum Lipglass ($35.00 for 0.32 fl. oz.) includes three Cremesheen Glasses and one Dazzleglass. I’ve reviewed these shades in the past, so this is just a quick overview with photos and swatches.
Fashion Scoop is a milky, light pink with fine white shimmer. View dupes.
Pagoda is a cool-toned, light medium pink with white shimmer. View dupes.
Loud & Lovely is a cool-toned, medium fuchsia pink with a cream finish. View dupes.
Rags to Riches is a muted, warm rose pink with gold and pink sparkle. View dupes.
Each year that MAC releases these sets, I say the same thing: these are an excellent value. Generally, both of these formulas are low on value–there really isn’t much in those large plastic tubes (they look way bigger than they are). Cremesheen Glass retails for $20.00 for 0.09 fl. oz., while Dazzleglass retails for $20.00 for 0.06 fl. oz. Yeah, the amount contained in the tube in this set is more than a full-sized Dazzleglass–go figure! This set includes $53.33 worth of Cremesheen Glass and $26.67 worth of Dazzleglass, so it is a total value of $80.
The Cremesheen Glass formula is creamy, light-to-medium in weight, non-sticky, vanilla-scented, and very comfortable to wear. Unfortunately, they’re often milky, so they can settle into lip lines, and they wear away within one to three hours (usually about two for me except for some of the deeper/more pigmented shades). It is a sheerer formulation, so they can be used for layering as well. Dazzleglass is a medium weight, sticky, vanilla-scented, sparkling gloss. It is also a sheerer formula to wear, but the sparkles distract from possible settling for the most part. The formula wears longer, due to the tackiness, but can vary from two to five hours.
The collection launches online on October 23rd.

Your eye makeup looks fantastic, I love that pop of blue! This is a really nice set! Does it mean you’re going to review the pigment/glitter sets soon as well?
Thank you, Agata!
ohhhh i love ‘loud and lovely’ it looks lovely on you and its very pigmented.. 🙂
Hi christine off topic here,, i need your suggestion on which eyeshadow should i go for urban decay vice 3 or makeup geek eyeshadow… Your input is highly appreciated.. Thank you..
It’s really about who would offer you the colors that you’d like most? What would you use more often? The quality of both brands is good on average, but it varies from shade to shade.
Eek, I hate to think about how little is in those tubes. In New Zealand a Dazzleglass will set you back $48. Can you say OUCH.
Yes, so little are in those tubes! At least with the sets it isn’t as bad 🙁
Wow these are so pretty. I only buy cruelty-free, but the Dazzleglass lip glasses always are so tempting. :c
They are sparkly!
Can’t say this set excites me. Loud & Lovely looks cute though.
If it applied a bit better, it would be nice!
I actually prefere Dazzleglass to Creamsheen glass, though I like all of MAC lip glasses. If I can I might buy all of the sets just because of the value, and when I use a lipgloss, it’s from MAC 80% of the time. Yes, I think they are that good. I tend to stay away from the milky ones, though.
I really like tha tyou do these quick reviews. They say all I need to know when it comes to products as well known as MAC glosses. (Just speaking for myself here, obviously).
The sets really are a great value, so anyone who likes the formulas should find them worthwhile for sure. I love the effect of Dazzleglass, but they can be quite tacky. Rags to Riches was my favorite from the three sets – super sparkly.
I actually like the tackiness. I have the bad habit of pressing and rubbing my lips toghether, with a tacky gloss I feel the need to do so is less than with a more balmy or light texture. I wish I could stop the rubbing, but I’m not even aware that I start doing it, and stop when I become aware. I think I’ve done it my whole life. A long, long time in other words. Hard to break bad habits.
Interesting! I am the opposite – the tackier it is, the more I fuss with my lips, lol!
Loud and lovely is nice but not worth the whole set.
No winners here for you, lol!
I like the last three, especially the very last one. The first one is just kind of…there. lol
Rags to Riches is so pretty! I like that it is more “pigmented” with shimmer.
Wow! I’ve never seen such diversity! All three sets look nothing alike! SMH. (Ooo I hope I don’t get a fake one!) pass
That tends to be the problem with sheerer gloss formulas and when you have a lot of shades – just hard to make them look different!
I like Rags to Riches a lot. Loud & Lovely is nice, but nothing special.
Rags to Riches was my fave (most interesting to me).
A little too cool-toned for my liking byt a great variety nonetheless!
At least you can skip one set!
Loud & Lovely is making this set very tempting..
I’ll keep my eyes peeled to see if you get it 😉
I like these, especially Loud & Lovely!
Yay!
Amusingly, Fashion Scoop settles less into liplines than I thought it would! 😀 My favourite of these is probably Rags to Riches just for the gorgeous, shameless shimmer fest, but I wish there’s been a little more of the ‘plum’ in this set…
Rags to Riches is probably the best out of all the glosses, IMO.
I always pick up at least one of these kits during the holidays! I’m in LOVE with dazzleglasses, but I can never bite the bullet to buy a “full” size. I think this one and Nude & Red are coming home with me! They’re such a great deal! Plus, Cremesheen Glasses are my favorite formula of gloss! Dazzleglasses look amazing in direct sunlight!
So glad you’re able to get something you love at a better value 😀
It’s awesome! 😀 And it just so happens that it takes me a year to finish a dazzleglass! #meanttobe 😉
