NARS Douceur or MAC Pink Cult. For creams, NARS Multiple in Riviera or MAC Brit Wit.

My blush stash primarily consists of soft, muted, dusky pinks, so I really just grab anything at random, and it works…

Totally agree, it’s a no brainer for me when I’m in a hurry. Otherwise I love Tarte Blushing Bride. Pinks don’t look good on me at all and peaches are iffy. (I have a light olive skin tone )

I’m sooo afraid to run out, so I “ration” myself, LOL! When it was first released a few years back, I didn’t wear blush, so I regrettably passed. I also should have picked up a second one this time around…

That’s a tough one because I chop and change my blush most days. My favourite blushes that I normally go to though are MAC Dainty, MAC MSF in Blonde, MAC Moon River (LE but I got a backup since my original is nearly done), Prescriptives Illuminator (very old!), Rouge Bunny Rouge Gracilis and Lily Lolo Rosy Apple. That was hard to narrow down and there are loads I feel I’ve missed out! I’m definitely more of a shimmery blush girl and I also love highlighter. The more glow the better! 😛

Benefit Coralista and Tarte Dollface

I actually tried TF lovelust recently and think Coralista works better for my skintone. People rave about Orgasm and lovelust but it just makes my skin look red. Which is odd, because I love Chanel Intonation.

I pretty much wear all different shades, but if I’m not sure what will look best, I’ll reach for MAC At Dusk or Nars Deep Throat. Also, those two “play nice” when I want to emphasize my eyes.

Right now, I am rotating between four: Nars Dolce Vita and 413 Bleeker, Mac Format, and Black Radianxe Toasted Almond. I have about 15 other blushes but these four have been in heavy rotation since the Beginning of September.

It depends on the color family; I switch things up a lot. Nude/Peach – Tarte Exposed; Nude/Pink – Benefit Dandelion; Coral – Sleek Life’s a Peach; Pink – Nyx Dusty Rose or MAC Pink Cult; Berry – The Balm Cabana Boy; Red – Sleek Pinktini.

Dolce Vita all the way! I’m always reaching for it. I especially like to use Dolce Vita as a contour blush, then dust a little of Givenchy’s It Girl Purple on the tops of my cheekbones to add a little more dimension.

My two favorites were originally purchased from make up artists at salons. The first was an eyeshadow, #215, also known as cedar, which has been discontinued. The closest match I’ve found is the recently released MAC taupe blush. Its even better than sculpt for contouring, I use it everyday to contour my cheeks and brush over my eyelids when I’m not wearing eyeshadow. It works as a taupe eyeshadow as well. The second was called Santa Fe, a pinky brown that I brushed over more muted colors. It woke up my face and I have not found an exact match for it. The closest I’ve found are MAC Prism, and Clinique Almond Blossom. Because my skin has so much pink in it, I use a taupe or golden base to contour or as a base to a colored blush everyday. For this I use MAC Taupe or Nars Zen. I was never a big MAC user. This blog has introduced me to a lot of their products. One of my favorites is their blush, it goes on smoothly, the color lasts and stays true, and their practice of constantly releasing limited edition collections (which I usually hate), has given us lay people access to pro products, like the Taupe blush and Sculpt contour powder (basically a blush), that Ii love!

Inglot 127. I finally tried a couple of Inglot blushes and they are so good. I wish there was an Inglot store in my city because everything I’ve bought from them (except one random eyeshadow) is fabulous, but it’s hard to pick online because they have so many similar shades.

right now im in an “eyeshadow as blush” phase. i love the urban decay electric palette, and i use the bright bright pink color (savage) or the lavander pearlescent color (jilted) with either some of the silver color (revolt) or a gold (there’s a palette from sephora i love right now i cant think of the name but there’s a soft pretty gold with minimal glitter in it) ill blend these together and my cheeks look the right amount of flushed and shimmery.
i also love mac MSF in petticoat. ill never get tired of that.

alie Avatar

oh! the key to the electric palette as blush obviously, is a VERY LIGHT HAND. i barely touch the brush to the color and that’s enough for both cheeks. the pigmentation is that amazing.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Natural Beauty or MAC’s Ambering Rose are absolute go-to’s if I just can’t decide on what blush to wear. But I truly love blush and switch up all the time!

I use Korres Natural for work also — complete fool-proof for my skin tone. The funny thing is I bought 3 more when they were starting to get harder to find (I guess they’ve discontinued the shade), but after 2 years of regular use, the I’m still trying to hit pan on the first one! This thing is bottomless!!

I’ve been doing a lot of smokey, bronze-y, golden-y eye looks, and I love pairing it with e.l.f. Studio Blush in Blushing Rose (it’s kind of similar to NARS Lovejoy, which I also love!). If I want something neutral-ish, I like to do NARS Amour.

Ok, so I was heartbroken when Mac Cream Soda just faded into my NC40 skin tone.
I found Mac’s Prism, it looks EXACTLY like the same color but more pigmented. Well, on me at least. It was my go-to blush for the last 6 months or so. My favorite part of this story? It’s from the PERM line so I can replace it when I run out!
