MAC Objects of Affection/Nude + Red Lipglass Review, Photos, Swatches (Quick)
MAC Objects of Affection/Nude + Red Lipglass
MAC Objects of Affection/Nude + Red Lipglass ($35.00 for 0.32 fl. oz.) includes three Cremesheen Glasses and one Dazzleglass. Again, I’ve reviewed these shades in the past, so this is just a quick overview with photos and swatches.
Paper Lantern is a sheer, warm peach with beige shimmer. View dupes.
Dynasty at Dusk is a semi-sheer, coral-orange with gold shimmer. View dupes.
Deelight is a dusty, muted rosy pink with subtle, warm undertones and a cream finish. View dupes.
Love Alert is a cool-toned, pink-red with lighter pink sparkle. View dupes.
Each year that MAC releases these sets, I say the same thing: these are an excellent value. Generally, both of these formulas are low on value–there really isn’t much in those large plastic tubes (they look way bigger than they are). Cremesheen Glass retails for $20.00 for 0.09 fl. oz., while Dazzleglass retails for $20.00 for 0.06 fl. oz. Yeah, the amount contained in the tube in this set is more than a full-sized Dazzleglass–go figure! This set includes $53.33 worth of Cremesheen Glass and $26.67 worth of Dazzleglass, so it is a total value of $80.
The Cremesheen Glass formula is creamy, light-to-medium in weight, non-sticky, vanilla-scented, and very comfortable to wear. Unfortunately, they’re often milky, so they can settle into lip lines, and they wear away within one to three hours (usually about two for me except for some of the deeper/more pigmented shades). It is a sheerer formulation, so they can be used for layering as well. Dazzleglass is a medium weight, sticky, vanilla-scented, sparkling gloss. It is also a sheerer formula to wear, but the sparkles distract from possible settling for the most part. The formula wears longer, due to the tackiness, but can vary from two to five hours.
The collection launches online on October 23rd.

I have to say, sadly, that I am disappointed in MAC this time ;(
Oh no!
It’s really tempting to pick this up! I’d definitely get a lot of wear out of the first three.
I do like the sets for value, and if you’re normally a fan of Cremesheen Glass (e.g wear time/milkiness aren’t deal-breakers), go for it! 🙂
Not a fan of the tacky milky formula I’m afraid…
Same!
Ooo I really like Dynasty at Dusk! Not sure if its permanent!?
It is 🙂
I like deelight and love alert but not enough to buy
On to the next! 😉
This is the only set of shades I would even consider, but they all apply so similarly… I may as well just go with a clear gloss!
Yes, that is the downfall of Cremesheens, IMO! (Even some of the Dazzleglasses.) They all tend to look the same!
I can now justify buying an additional pigment set, LOL!
Dusk and Love Alert are pretty. Not pretty enough to make me buy this set, though.
Permanent, too, so if you ever change your mind…
Dynasty at Dusk and Deelight seems to be right up my alley! Thanks for the swatches 🙂
You’re welcome!
I almost forgot I had Deelight! It’s such a pretty neutral pink. Love Alert is next on my list!
Nice!
I realize this is lesser quality… but there is something about the colors that I REALLY like. Maybe I’m crazy.
If you like it, you like it. All good!
Dynasty at Dusk and Deelight are kind of pretty except for that traitorous hint of milky lipline settling! I know you probably can’t see it at normal human viewing distance, but, well, you know me and milkiness, LOL!
Love alert is a pretty colour, but somes out a bit patchy, I feel. Also, I expected this set to be more like 1 X milky nude, 1 X basically clear with warm shimmer/glitter 1 x pinky sparkle and then at least 1 x actual creme red opaque gloss. Not 3x nude and 1 x fuchsia…
Why am I even analyzing this? It’s a mystery… 😛
Yes, Love Alert doesn’t go on as nicely as you’d think it would 🙁
Definitely tempted to buy this! Are all the glosses permanent? Deelight is absolutely stunning and right up my alley!x
Yes!
