Notable Blush
MAC Makeup Art Cosmetics Collection: Blushes
Two very contrasting shades of blush are available with the MAC Makeup Art Cosmetics Collection:The Perfect Cheek and Notable.
Blush ($18.00)
- The Perfect Cheek is a powder blush with a matte finish that goes on a dusty, pale pink. While it was visible on my skin tone, I found it hard to detect, and the inside of my forearm is probably around NC20 range, which leads me to worry about visibility on deeper skin tones. On some deeper skin tones, this may appear ashy as well.
- Notable is a powder blush with a matte finish that looks like a muted brick-rose. It’s quite pigmented, and it has a very soft, smooth texture. It isn’t the least bit chalky, despite having a matte finish. This is the shade much more suitable to deeper skin tones.
- Product: 8/10
- Value: 8/10
- Ease of Use: 7/10
- Packaging: 8/10
Recommendation: I’m not head-over-heels in love with either shade myself, but I have heard others rave about both–depending on their skin tone. I do feel that The Perfect Cheek may be too pale for some complexions that it won’t show up or it’ll show up ashy. I think Notable will work well for all skin tones.

Based on pics, I love The Perfect Cheek. Might be perfect for my NW15/20!
I hope it is!
For anyone wondering: I have The Perfect Cheek on currently and it is truly a gorgeous shade on NC20 skin! I also highlighted with Porcelain Pink and it’s realllly pretty! Hope
this helps someone.
the perfect cheek looks like a non-shimmery/irridescent blooming (from cult of cherry)…how similar are the colors? sadly, i missed out on that beautiful blush last year!
Hi christine.
is there matte blushes from the PERM collection that are similar to notable and would be good for nc40 skintone! thanks a bunch x
IMO, not really… I think it would be fine on NC40 though!
thanks x
notable blush is dupeable thnks to coastal scents oxide pigments and a kabuki brush!
i want Notable!! =D
The Perfect Cheek and Cubic are very similar. Cubic is just a tad bit darker. Works on my NW15/NW20 skin 🙂
Do you mean Notable?
If you’re NC35 get Notable blush! It is perfect for a natural fall flush. or neutral look in general.
I got the perfect cheek and love it, but I am also uber pale and have freckles so it’s hard to find a nice blush!
Also what is the other swatch on your hand? Looks gorge!
In which photo? Notable, On Display lipglass, and The Perfect Cheek are all swatched.
I really want Notable blush! Oh and by the way, the blushes now cost $18.50 on the MAC website! Really Mac, must you keep increasing your prices so often???
Ouch 🙁
theres a brand new notable blush on ebay at the moment!!! saw it the other day but unfortunatley my partner wont let me buy it, he says i have too many already!! its from the Uk though, not sure where you are in the world! check it out!
Notable is a really pretty plum brown. It might be similar to Darkly My Dear which came out with the Cruella De Vil portion of the Venomous Villains Collection.
