Zoeva Nude Spectrum Blush Palette
Zoeva Nude Spectrum Blush Palette ($20.00 for 0.52 oz.) includes four shades of blush that range from beige to brown. The blush formula is supposed to have a “velvety smooth” texture with “seamless color.” I liked the palette overall, though the formula could be a little smoother and more blendable on a couple of shades. The wear was a bit below average to average at seven to eight hours.
ND010 is a muted, light-medium rosy beige with a fine dusting of gold that gives it a satin finish. It had semi-opaque coverage with a smooth, silky consistency that blended out fairly well and lasted for seven and a half hours. MAC Shy One (LE, $24.00) is lighter (95% similar). LORAC Lost Soul (LE, $23.00) is darker, cooler (95% similar). Tarte Breathless (LE, $29.00) is lighter (95% similar). Bite Beauty Blondie (P, $24.00) is glossier (90% similar). MAC Nude Pink (LE, $35.50) is lighter (90% similar). By Terry Light & Tan Vibes #5 (LE, ) is more shimmery, lighter, warmer (90% similar). Hourglass Dim Infusion (P, $40.00) is brighter, warmer (85% similar). By Terry Savannah Love #4 (LE, ) is lighter (85% similar). bareMinerals The Close Call (PiP, $22.00) is darker (85% similar). By Terry Tropical Sunset #5 (LE, ) is more shimmery, lighter (85% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
ND020 is a muted, medium brown with warm, yellow undertones and a satin sheen. It had so-so color payoff with a thin, lightly dusty consistency that could have been more pigmented and smoother. This shade lasted for seven hours on me before fading. Becca Wild Honey (P, $32.00) is darker (90% similar). Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Contour (LE, ) is more shimmery, lighter (95% similar). Kevyn Aucoin Desert Days (P, $48.00) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). Tarte Social Butterfly (LE, $29.00) is darker (90% similar). bareMinerals Warmth (LE, ) is darker (90% similar). Urban Decay Lo-Fi (DC, $26.00) is darker (90% similar). ColourPop Skinny Dip (P, $8.00) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze (Original) (PiP, ) is darker, cooler (90% similar). NARS San Juan (P, $38.00) is darker, cooler (85% similar). bareMinerals The High Dive (PiP, $24.00) is less shimmery, darker (85% similar). Flower Beauty Cinnamon (P, $9.99) is less shimmery, darker, glossier (85% similar). MAC Aphrodite's Shell (LE, $34.00) is darker, warmer (85% similar). MAC Sunny Side (LE, $34.00) is darker, brighter (85% similar). Benefit Hoola (P, $30.00) is less shimmery, darker (80% similar). Burberry Dark Earthy (P, $42.00) is cooler (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
ND030 is a medium-dark, bronzy brown with a soft, pearly sheen. It had good color payoff with a smooth, silky texture that sat well on the skin and didn’t emphasize pores. I wish it blended a little more easily, though. On me, it started to fade after eight hours of wear. MAC I'll Hold My Breath #1 (LE, ) is darker, more muted (90% similar). Melt Cosmetics Lynx (P, $22.00) is more shimmery, cooler (90% similar). KIKO 100 Cookie (P, $12.00) is less shimmery, lighter (90% similar). bareMinerals The High Dive (PiP, $24.00) is lighter (90% similar). ColourPop Poolside (P, $8.00) is darker (90% similar). Becca Wild Honey (P, $32.00) is less shimmery, lighter (90% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Gold Dust (P, $68.00) is less shimmery (90% similar). Stila Sending My Love Bronzer (LE, ) is less shimmery, darker, cooler (85% similar). Melt Cosmetics Sundown (P, $22.00) is more shimmery, darker (85% similar). ColourPop Bronze Me (LE, $8.00) is darker (85% similar). Hourglass Brilliant Nude (PiP, $38.00) is more shimmery, lighter (90% similar). Urban Decay Paranoid (DC, $26.00) is darker, more muted, cooler (85% similar). Laura Mercier Sensation (LE, $45.00) is more shimmery, darker (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
ND040 is a muted, medium brown with hints of rose and a mostly matte finish. The pigmentation was opaque but easily sheered out or built-up in layers, if you prefer different levels of coverage. The texture was soft, smooth, and silky, while the blush remained blendable on the skin. I noticed slight fading after seven and a half hours of wear. Urban Decay Jawbone (LE, $26.00) is warmer (95% similar). Anastasia Chocolate (LE, ) is darker (90% similar). Gucci Beauty Fair (01) (P, $62.00) is lighter, warmer (90% similar). Anastasia Blank (PiP, ) is darker, cooler (85% similar). MAC Harmony (P, $24.00) is darker, warmer (85% similar). LORAC Ray (LE, ) is cooler (85% similar). Benefit Hoola (P, $30.00) is warmer (85% similar). MAC Scone (LE, $28.00) is warmer (80% similar). Surratt Beauty La Rosée du Soir (P, $32.00) is lighter (80% similar). beautiful!!
They are pretty colors!
aww, it looks like the quality of these is not quite the same as the single blush you reviewed a couple of days ago (‘burning up’), that’s too bad. The ND040 seems quite nice though.
It’s not bad but not fantastic, unfortunately!
I like ND10 and ND40, but definitely would not use the other two which would look positively garish on me so this palette is a pass.
I wonder if they’d ever consider making the blushes available as singles, since it seems like a lot just like one or two shades.
These are just the type of colors I love for everyday looks! I’m gonna be checking out the dupes since I have never placed an international order before!
I’ve only heard great things about Zoeva’s shipping service, which is good since it isn’t cheap – but the price is steeper as they use DHL, which is more reliable than USPS for international!
OK… VERY good to know! Thanks.
I really like this. I’ve been looking at some more nude shades to blend and layer with my current blushes (I almost got the Gwen Stefani set for a similar reason), and this gives me four choices. I wish they had performed a little better, but the price is hard to argue with. The issue with blending may not affect me as much since I use a microfiber brush for all my blushes, and always build up rather than blend out. This one goes into the “serious consideration” pile.
I think you should be okay based on your technique/tool for blush, Alecto! 🙂
Thank you SO MUCH for putting this one up. Those of us who are building our Zoeva hit list to order, salute you! Personally, I like to get a little something from broad categories, when ordering from a company that is ‘new/afar.’ Palace Door has been looking great on you. I wish Douglas had US branches, bec. makeup is clearly NOT better sight unseen. Also, the Hoola comparison is very useful, bec it is so popular. Prob the only benefit cheek product I never got, bec. it looks like a jaundiced mud mask on me….making me leery of the general color family. Makes me overthink the whole undertones/overtones thing. Thanks a bunch.
No problem, KJH! 🙂 I tend to do the same – a little of this, a little of that – particularly since Zoeva’s shipping rate is flat rate… which is great if you buy a lot but awful if you buy little!
Yes! Was closely eyeballing Christine’s whole look on the Tarte Quench lip post.. love it.. and Palace Door=must have
Before I read the title I thought this was going to be a contour palette lol. I really like the colors though and they look really pretty on you too. I think this is going to be a great everyday blush palette for lighter complexions. I’d love it if Zoeva came out with a darker version!
Thanks, Fancie! 🙂 It would be great if they did that.
Fancie, I haven’t visited your site for a while, my computer was giving me a security warning message that the site might have been hacked, but I tried again today, and it seems ok. Lots of reading to catch up on!
I really like these shades and the overall look you created here. But, the blending issues may keep this one off my list.
But, the more I look at it, I really love 010 and 040. So, it may be worth it when i finally make that Zoeva purchase! 🙂
They’re pretty! They are the types of shades that I really gravitate towards as they’re more forgiving (since they aren’t too contrasting) on my skin tone.
I like those shades too! I used the PB & J palette,Nars Lovejoy along with Suratt Ensoleill(or however you spell that!)
Hmmm, strange that Zoeva went with referring to this as any kind of “blush” palette, nude or not. IMHO, it just looks like a bronzer palette. Not bad, I guess, if one doesn’t already own a lot of bronzers? But it’s not moving mountains for me here, so I’ll pass.
These are colors I’d use as blushes myself, rather than bronzer, so it might depend on skin tone!
Hmm, yeah, on closer inspection 10 and 40 do indeed look more like very natural blushes. I could see 03 and 04 showing up in me, but 03 and 02, to my eye, just look like they would be bronzers on my NC37-40 skintone. I don’t think 02 would even show on me! I wish 04 was a single. I’d go for it if it was!
You look lovely in these shades! It seems like a decent palette overall.
Thanks, Chris!
Not my colors, but it’s a good value and glad it scored decently
It is a good value!
I like shades 010 and 040, but the other two would be too warm on me. Pass.
I can totally see that!
These would be nice to play up the tan sun kissed look in the summer. not sure about the ND030, though.
It seems like Zoeva should release these individually!
Way too warm for me! 10 is pretty though!
Gotcha! 🙂
Do you know if these blushes are available as singles? I really like the ND010 but I don’t think I would use the others.
Not that I know of! 🙁
Nice palette, too warm for me as expected from the title ‘Nude Spectrum’. I have dupes for the 2 lighter, pinker shades in this so I’m covered ?.
Phew!
That’s not for me. I don’t like how tan or brown blushes look on my complexión.
Gotcha!
It’s nice to see some rosy tones in with the yellow/golden/bronze tones in a bronzing kind of blush palette! Lots of us naturally get a bit redder as well as browner if we get some sun… lots of fair-skinned folks in Germany, I guess, so they know about that!
That is a great point! I didn’t even think of it that way 🙂
I bought this palette because I needed some “nude” blushes, but for some reasons all these four shades pull a bit pink on my skin, even the bronzer looking 020 and 030 swatches quite bronzed but have this pink tones on my face! (I have neutral toned light/medium Asian skin, NC20/25, my skins not too warm but it definitely is yellow-ish). Not that it’s a bad thing, it is after all a blush palette, but using this palette to contour or bronze, which I slightly hoped it could, is a no-no for me.
I also feel 010 and 040 look almost identical on my face (but not the back of my hand), 010’s shimmer is even barely noticeable on me. Both of these look very pink on the cheeks for me, compared to nude I was expecting. I have to say though these blushes are extremely powdery, 010 and 030 even feel very buttery when u swatch with fingers; one dip into the pan with a brush and there’s powder everywhere, which I have to blow off and tap off. I don’t mind this too much, as the color payoff is great and swatching with fingers is fun. Overall, I feel like they could’ve just released 1-2 shades as singles instead of this quad, because they don’t look drastically different in my opinion.
Btw, funny thing I ordered Inglot sculpting power 506 (theres swatches for this color on this site) hoping to use it as a contour color, but that one looks pink as well on me, and looks almost identical to the matte 040 shade in this Zoeva palette. I’ve swatched it over and over on my hand, compared them on the cheeks, couldn’t see a big difference, even the powdery-but-quite-pigmented texture feels just the same.
Oh, darn, Roxi! Sorry to hear that everything seemed to go pink on you 🙁
Hi,
i was wondering what are your thoughts are on the zoeva nude spectrum eyeshadow palette. Also is it a good dupe for Mac warm/ neutral x 15 eyeshadow palette… Texture, pigmentation wise?
Thank you
Sorry, I don’t have a review for that!
