YSL Corail Intuitive (15) Rouge Volupte Shine Review, Photos, Swatches
YSL Corail Intuitive (15) Rouge Volupte Shine
YSL Corail Intuitive (15) Rouge Volupte Shine ($35.00 for 0.15 oz.) is described as a “smoky soft coral.” It’s a light-medium, pink-coral with warm undertones and a glossy shine. YSL Peach Passion (13) (P, $34.00) is warmer, brighter. MAC Reel Sexy (LE, $16.00) is very similar but less glossy. MAC Ever Hip (LE, $16.00) is slightly darker. MAC Coral Bliss (LE, $16.00) is less glossy, more muted. YSL Tender Peach (26) (P, $34.00) is lighter, warmer. See comparison swatches.
The Rouge Volupte Shine formula is supposed to “leave lips visibly softer and smoother with up to eight hours of hydration.” It also has “dazzling color, extreme comfort, and luminous shine.” It has a high-shine, glossy finish with a lighter look and feel compared to the original Rouge Volupte range, which looks very creamy but is a thicker, heavier formula overall. The consistency is still very slick and emollient, so it glides on easily and doesn’t drag at all, but it can sometimes look a little uneven. It had mostly opaque color coverage, but you can see a hint of my lip freckle coming through. The color lasts for three hours on me, and it is moderately hydrating over time, though I can’t say it stretches as far as eight hours. It’s more hydrating than the average lipstick, less hydrating than a good lip balm.

I like the colour a lot!
Yay!
thats such a pretty and wearable coral! It looks stunning on u Christine!
Thanks so much, Lisha! xo
I bought this for my mom and she loves it. On her though it looks a bit more on the orange side. Still a lovely shade.
Aww, you’re so sweet to have bought her one!
I have this and I love it! It’s the prettiest peachy nude on me. I love the way it looks on you too!!
Yayy!! Happy to hear you love it, too, Fancie!
I love this color, but I have Coral Bliss so I think I’ll pass on this shade.
You can definitely skip!
Isn’t Coral Bliss permanent though?
Hi Melinda!
Confused – what does it being permanent have to do with skipping Corail Intuitive since you have Coral Bliss matter? Sorry, I’m totally confused!
I don’t think she was referring to skipping this with her second comment. I think she was referring to the fact that you’ve listed MAC Coral Bliss as LE in the description but it’s P in the dupe list section?
Oops sorry forgot to comment on the actual post!
This colour looks gorgeous but I think it’s a bit too sheer for me. I’ve been looking through your swatches of the YSL Rouge Volpute and the Shine lipsticks to choose a colour to finally try out and I’m leaning towards the 13 Peach Passion..it’s so hard to choose though! They’re all so pretty (:
So weird! This looks like a bright pastel peach with a lot less shine (more like a satin finish) on me. I definitely prefer the way it looks on you!
Really? Satin finish? That’s so crazy!
I know! I actually had go through my stash, put it on and double check the shade as soon as I saw the review because I couldn’t believe it was the same lipstick! The satin finish is probably due to my insanely dry lips.
Pretty shade! Too sheer to work for me though 🙁
Aww!
It almost looks like a coral nude!
I can see that!
I definitely like this finish better than the original. Much fresher and cleaner looking. And his color is beautiful. I love ur lip/cheek color pairing!
It is definitely a lighter look!
*sigh* I can never resist a pretty, sheer lippie! THis one is going on THE list!! Pairs so beautifully with your blush too, Christine! (another item thats currently on my wishlist! :P)
Aw, thank you Becca!
Like the colour but I’m always after lipsticks who last longer. 🙂
Totally understand! I don’t like reapplying too often!
I really love creamy, easy to apply MLBB lipsticks like this! I have far too many of them…but I want this one too now! 😉
I’m learning to love MLBBs more!
So cute for spring!
So true, Danielle! 🙂
