YSL Corail Intuitive (15) Rouge Volupte Shine Review, Photos, Swatches

YSL Corail Intuitive (15) Rouge Volupte Shine ($35.00 for 0.15 oz.) is described as a “smoky soft coral.” It’s a light-medium, pink-coral with warm undertones and a glossy shine. YSL Peach Passion (13) (P, $34.00) is warmer, brighter. MAC Reel Sexy (LE, $16.00) is very similar but less glossy. MAC Ever Hip (LE, $16.00) is slightly darker. MAC Coral Bliss (LE, $16.00) is less glossy, more muted. YSL Tender Peach (26) (P, $34.00) is lighter, warmer. See comparison swatches.

The Rouge Volupte Shine formula is supposed to “leave lips visibly softer and smoother with up to eight hours of hydration.” It also has “dazzling color, extreme comfort, and luminous shine.” It has a high-shine, glossy finish with a lighter look and feel compared to the original Rouge Volupte range, which looks very creamy but is a thicker, heavier formula overall. The consistency is still very slick and emollient, so it glides on easily and doesn’t drag at all, but it can sometimes look a little uneven. It had mostly opaque color coverage, but you can see a hint of my lip freckle coming through. The color lasts for three hours on me, and it is moderately hydrating over time, though I can’t say it stretches as far as eight hours. It’s more hydrating than the average lipstick, less hydrating than a good lip balm.

I don’t think she was referring to skipping this with her second comment. I think she was referring to the fact that you’ve listed MAC Coral Bliss as LE in the description but it’s P in the dupe list section?

Oops sorry forgot to comment on the actual post!

This colour looks gorgeous but I think it’s a bit too sheer for me. I’ve been looking through your swatches of the YSL Rouge Volpute and the Shine lipsticks to choose a colour to finally try out and I’m leaning towards the 13 Peach Passion..it’s so hard to choose though! They’re all so pretty (:

I know! I actually had go through my stash, put it on and double check the shade as soon as I saw the review because I couldn’t believe it was the same lipstick! The satin finish is probably due to my insanely dry lips.
