A couple of weeks ago, I was going through our Urban Decay Eyeshadow gallery, and I noticed we were missing a few shades from the permanent range–which was something that needed to be rectified!

Urban Decay Flash Eyeshadow ($18.00 for 0.05 oz.) is described as a “bright iridescent purple shimmer.” It’s a medium, cool-toned purple with a medium, frosted finish. It had good color payoff, and the texture was soft, smooth, and buttery. It wore well for eight hours before starting to fade. Tarina Tarantino Violet Storm #5 (LE) is darker. Fyrinnae Snowboarding (P, $6.80) is more iridescent. Kat Von D Babe (LE) is warmer. theBalm A2 (LE, $16.00) is slightly warmer. Urban Decay Betrayal (LE, $18.00) is lighter. Illamasqua Trance (LE) is a cream product. Inglot #441 (P, $6.00) is darker, brighter. See comparison swatches

Urban Decay Psychedelic Sister Eyeshadow ($18.00 for 0.05 oz.) is described as a “deep amethyst shimmer.” It’s a medium, plummy purple with subtle warm undertones and a frosted sheen. It had semi-opaque color payoff–could have been more intense–but the texture was soft, smooth, and easy to blend. The color wore well for just over eight hours. Dior Lilas Mitzah (176) (P, $29.00) is darker. Urban Decay Vice (LE, $18.00) is darker, less warm-toned. Sugarpill Hysteric (P, $12.00) is brighter. See comparison swatches.

Urban Decay Woodstock Eyeshadow ($18.00 for 0.05 oz.) is described as a “saturated deep pink shimmer.” It’s a vibrant, medium-dark fuchsia pink with cool, blue undertones and a soft, frosted finish. This shade lasted for nine hours before showing signs of fading. Sugarpill Smitten (LE, $12.00) is slightly brighter. Too Faced Bright Eyes (LE, $16.00) is a smidgen darker. Too Faced Totally Fetch (LE, $16.00) is a touch brighter. Fyrinnae Superstar (P, $6.80) is brighter, cooler-toned. Urban Decay Noise (LE, $18.00) is more muted. MAC Tease with Ease (DC, $21.00) is darker, warmer, less shimmery. See comparison swatches.

I adore Flash! I have it in a pallet and only wear it on occasion, but it’s just a pop of purple color that looks fabulous. I’ve not been able to find a suitable dupe that’s as pretty and well, as purple!

I use Maybelline bad the bronze as a base and just pop a bit if flash along my lashline and slightly blended in the outer corner. it’s just enough but not too much. With liner and mascara, it’s totally work appropriate too. I’m wimpy when it comes to bright eye shadow, I normally wear neutral colors, so having a little purple there is a lot for me!

I’ve got Woodstock in a palette (Mariposa? I can’t recall as I never use it! – BRIGHT PINK eye shadow? Not great for me, though I’ve used it as blush in past!) and I’ve got Psychedelic Sister in BOS 3. I like it very much. I’ll have to check Flash, as I don’t think I own or have even tried that one.

I got Woodstock in a palette (Original Vice, I think). I found that the Woodstock in that palette was crumbly and didn’t have great pigmentation. It didn’t have even payoff like the one swatched above. Kind of stinks…it’s such a lovely pink but the one I have is a complete dud.
