YSL Corail Incandescent, Corail Intuitive, Nude Lavalliere Rouge Volupte Shines Reviews & Swatches
Corail Incandescent (12)
YSL Corail Incandescent (12) Rouge Volupte Shine Oil-in-Stick ($38.00 for 0.11 oz.) is a rich, reddish-coral with subtle, warm undertones and a high-shine finish. It had medium coverage, which was buildable to semi-opaque, that applied evenly and smoothly across my lips without emphasizing my lip lines. The consistency was balm-like, creamy but not heavy, and comfortable to wear. It stayed on well for four and a half hours, left a faint stain behind, and was hydrating over time.

Formula Overview
$38.00/0.11 oz. - $345.45 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be "deeply hydrating" and "melt" onto the lips with a "pop of color" and give long-term hydration. It is described as having "medium coverage" and "irreverent shine." The color coverage was typically medium, as described, though some of the deeper shades were more buildable to semi-opaque coverage.
They're a very, very creamy, emollient formula; they slip-slide as they melt against the lips during application, and it feels luxurious to apply but can be easily over-applied. It's just the type of texture that lends itself to over-application without adding more coverage, so I recommend being mindful in order to ensure you'll get plenty of usage out of each tube. Fortunately, once on, they don't feel thick or overly slippery, so it doesn't feel like the lipstick is constantly moving while worn.
They have a high-shine, almost glossy, finish that often smoothed out my lip lines without settling into them, and the latter made it more impressive due to the amount of color and slip. The wear time varied from shade to shade but typically landed between three and five hours. Some shades leave a faint stain behind--usually the mid-tone and darker hues. The formula has a sweet, mango scent but no discernible taste.

Corail Intuitive (15)
YSL Corail Intuitive (15) Rouge Volupte Shine Oil-in-Stick ($38.00 for 0.11 oz.) is a soft coral with warm undertones and a cream finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation, though it could be sheered out a bit, that applied without streaking on me. There was a bit of product that sat in my deeper lip lines on my lower lip, but it wasn’t too noticeable in person (just in the close-up photo). The lipstick had a smooth, lightly creamy consistency that felt like a true balm-lipstick hybrid, which made it comfortable to applyand to wear. It lasted well for four hours and was moisturizing while worn.

Nude Lavalliere (44)
YSL Nude Lavalliere (44) Rouge Volupte Shine Oil-in-Stick ($38.00 for 0.11 oz.) is a soft pink with neutral-to-warm undertones and a natural sheen. Swatched, it looked more translucent, but it seemed to be the type of texture/shade that really adhered better to lips over arms! It had medium color coverage that applied fairly evenly and smoothly without tugging on my lips. There was a smidgen of product that sat in my lip lines, though it wasn’t noticeable from a normal viewing distance. The consistency was lightweight, balm-like with noticeable slip but didn’t slide around much while worn. This shade wore well for three and a half hours and was hydrating over time.

Incandescent glows! How appropriate … 🙂
Corail Incandescent is a showstopper. Wow! Perfect for summer or spring. I do have UD 100 Degrees, though…
Nude Lavalliere is a pretty one, but I’d probably go for something more substantial like one of the HG Girl Stylos myself.
I own YSL Nude Lavalliere and Hourglass Creator and they’re different enough in texture in opacity to come off very differently, although some of that might be because I’m just so pale. The HG Creator is noticeably bolder on me, fwiw.
Coral Incandescent is gorgeous. I don’t often wear these shades as they are generally not deep enough to blot out my naturally pigmented lips but I do love them.
Gorgeous coral shades and these would be very popular in spring/summer.
