YSL Carmine Retro (129) Rouge Volupte Shine Oil-in-Stick ($38.00 for 0.11 oz.) is a muted, light-medium red with subtle, warm undertones and a luminous finish. The consistency was lightweight, thin but not clingy, and more balm-like, so it felt quite emollient and was more prone to sliding on my lips. Thankfully, it retained a very even application of color despite all that slip!
It had medium color coverage that applied evenly on my lips and was forgiving of imperfections. It stayed on well for three and a half hours and felt lightly moisturizing while worn.
