Wet ‘n’ Wild Ticket to Brazil Color Icon Bronzer Review & Swatches

Ticket to Brazil

Wet ‘n’ Wild Ticket to Brazil Color Icon Bronzer ($4.99 for 0.38 oz.) is a light-medium gold with warm, yellow undertones and a satin sheen. It was more gold than peach or brown when swatched and applied to my skin. The texture felt denser, though smooth, and seemed thicker; I could feel that “gel-infused” property to it as it seemed almost like a crumbly cream if I pushed at it with the back of a brush. It picked up better with a brush than I expected, but I did prefer a denser, more circular/flat-topped brush (almost like a buffer brush but smaller), as it seemed to pick up product more evenly and distributed it more evenly to my skin as a result. The product spread and blended out nicely on my skin without emphasizing my skin’s natural texture. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation that lasted well for eight hours on me before fading a bit.

Formula Overview

$4.99/0.38 oz. - $13.13 Per Ounce

The formula was more like a cream-powder hybrid, as the powder had a lot of slip and felt very smooth to the touch without being powdery, and it was on the denser side. It applied best with a circular, small-to-medium buffer brush or an otherwise moderately dense brush as it picked up product more evenly and dispersed it well. The product had medium to opaque coverage, depending on the shade, but they were buildable if they were not opaque in one layer. They blended out fairly well, but they can be tricky to blend over damp foundation--they seemed more reactive to residual moisture/oiliness on the skin compared to the average powder bronzer. I'd recommend lightly dusting translucent powder over your complexion products if they do not dry down to a semi-matte or matte finish.

I even purchased a back up of the original since I live it so much! I prefer it over the Physians Formula which I don’t exactly enjoy too much coconut scent and is a bit orangey in my skin. This new one is too dark for me also but I’m covered with bronzer for after life when I turn into a vampire. Lol!

W&W seems to be killing it with the blushes/bronzers/highlighters, and face products in general.

Glad that this scored SO well (I love it when affordable brands knock it out of the park) but this is too warm and too orange for me. I so wish I could find that lovely pink blush from WnW (whenever I’m in a store that carries the brand, I scour the shelves looking for it but no joy!)

A note on the ingredients. I looked back at the cult Reserve Your Cabana, as forgot why it wasn’t for me. Aha! Good news for many. This set of bronzers has no chemical sunscreens. Both of these WNWs look great on you, and would be great choices.
