Wet 'n' Wild Flock Party Color Icon Eyeshadow Quad Review, Photos, Swatches
Flock Party
Wet ‘n’ Wild Flock Party Color Icon Eyeshadow Quad ($2.99 for 0.16 oz.) has a nice, cohesive color combination, but I wish the quality of the formula was more consistent. The first shade was very powdery, while the second shade was thinner and drier with little color payoff, and yet the third and fourth shades were decent to good.

Flock Party
LELimited Edition. $2.99.
Flock Party #1
Flock Party #1 is a light-medium, peachy orange with warm, yellow undertones and a satin finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation paired with a soft, but very powdery, texture that had issues with fallout and sheering out during application. The product was easier to work with over primer, but it always had weaker color and coverage for me. It lasted for seven hours before fading noticeably.

Formula Overview
-
The formula is supposed to be "powerfully pigmented" with a "butter-soft" texture that "glides on like a dream." The majority of the eyeshadows are on the drier side, sometimes feeling loosely pressed and other times more chalk-like and truly dry to the point where a primer became a must for getting good adhesion and wear out of the formula. Most of the matte shades were quite pigmented, and I found they actually applied better to bare skin than some of the shimmers, which often appeared faded and muted in practice compared to how they appeared in the pan. The pigmentation varied from decent to mostly opaque depending on the shade, and the wear was typically between five and seven hours on me.
I did not keep most of the previously-released trios and palettes from the brand as mine, but when I compared 2018's formula to the prior one (and mine are likely five or more years old), the previous formula was far better for their shimmers--slightly more slip, creamier in feel, and typically more pigmented and true-to-color on the lid. I think the mattes, overall, are improved as they are more blendable and pigmented on the lid.

Flock Party #2
Flock Party #2 is a soft, peachy-pink with warm undertones and a pearly sheen. The texture was drier and looser, which resulted in semi-sheer coverage that was only improved by using it with a dampened brush (primer made little difference). I didn’t have any trouble blending it out, but it only wore well for six hours on me.

LELimited Edition.
Flock Party #3
Flock Party #3 is a soft, golden copper with warm undertones and a frosted sheen. It had opaque pigmentation with a smooth, blendable texture that was denser but not firm or stiff in the pan, so it didn’t have fallout, adhered well to bare skin, and lasted better than most shades in the formula (seven and a half hours) on its own.

Flock Party #3
LELimited Edition.
Flock Party #4
Flock Party #4 is a medium-dark pink with subtle, warm undertones and a pearly sheen. It had good color coverage that was buildable to full coverage with a second layer.. The downside was that it seemed to noticeably lose vibrancy within a few minutes of application, even over primer, so I found it hard to get true-to-pan intensity in practice. Those who like softer or more muted shades may find that preferable. The texture was slightly dusty in the pan, but it blended out well and applied evenly. It wore well for seven and a half hours (aside from the initial fading).

Although this color combination doesn’t work for me, I wish it had scored better. I really like it when drugstore brands like Wet n Wild put out good quality products. And I love seeing these brands reviewed on Temptalia!
I’m going to give it a try. Sure, one not-so-good and the others just ok, but at this price and with the great look you did, and considering I’m into pinks and peaches these days, why not.
I think it’s probably worth it if you like the colors. W’n’W Silent Treatment got a C+ rating, but it was only $2.99, so I bought it anyway because I really liked the transition shade. The palette is perfect for days when I just need a quick, simple look and don’t want to use more expensive makeup. (I use eyeshadow primer, and that helps a lot.)
Where did you see the eye look? All I’m seeing here are swatches.
Thanks for the encouragement and sharing your experience — I’m sold!
I noticed the look earlier, in the week in review I think it was — https://www.temptalia.com/look/a-bronze-pink-eye-with-wet-n-wild-flock-party/ — and also, I see it on the main page listing for the palette.
The poor eyeshadow palettes we’ve seen from Wet N Wild lately is what kept me from getting the whole Collection Box. I just bought the blushes.
Even though I like shades #3 and #4, I don’t need this one. Pretty sure I’ve got both shades covered within my stash, thank goodness!
Curious, did you try the #4 shadow with a bit of Fix+? That might have made it a bit more vibrant.
It still fades noticeably over primer or used dampened compared to the pan shade.
Yes, shades 3 & 4 are much better – what a shame, the first weren’t great as this could have been lovely.
I find they do apply lightly compared to other WetnWild palettes but to me that I’m pale is ok. I do love the shades I think the palette with the blue Costa something is the brightest of all haven’t played with them all yet but I like them. Nice for everyday use as they are soft.
The only colour I really like from this set is #3 (the damaged one) and I’ve got the Buxom dupe so I’m covered.
