My skin tone/coloring: Light neutral skin tone, green eyes, dark hair
Favorite look worn: Clinique Brow Shaper plus Clinique Super Fine Eyebrow Pencil. Kat Von D Saint & Sinner Palette (Amen on brow bone, Martyr in crease, Exodus on lid, Immaculate blended from outer crease/lid toward center). L’oreal Lash Paradise. Bare Minerals BarePro Performance Foundation in 05 Sateen. Tarte Shape Tape Concealer. RCMA No Color Powder. Clinique Blushing Blush in Cupid. Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Highlighter 01. Chanel Rouge Coco Lipstick in Mademoiselle.
Most used products of the week: Clinique Brow Shaper, Clinique Super Fine Eyebrow Pencil, and Tarte Shape Tape Concealer
Any new beauty discoveries: This was my first foray into green eyeshadow and I was very happy with the result. Green eyeshadow actually CAN make green eyes pop!
Yay for green with green! I have hazel eyes that tend to look just green most days and I am always reluctant with greens until I remember how they look. A light frosted green (MAC Silver Sun) and the green in Chanel’s Empteinte du Desert are my 2 favorites. Your eye look sounds lovely!
Thanks! I just looked up that MAC shade and the Chanel palette. Both very pretty!!! I also love the MAC shade Coquette, which is sort of a matte taupe-y green. It’s more of a workhorse color, not very exciting, but it adds a subtle greenishness to a neutral eye.
My skin tone/coloring: fair, cool
Favorite look you wore: Lise Watier Multi-Fini Powder Foundation (I’ve had it for years and just started to use it again and I’m loving it), MAC Sweet Sentiment blush, Smashbox Night Shoot e/s trio, Sephora Cappuccino pencil liner, MJ Skinny Liner in black to tightline upper lashes; Clarins Be Long Mascara, Smashbox Red Rage lipstick
Most used product of the week: the Lise Watier Multi-Fini foundation
Any new beauty discoveries: the “rediscovery” of aforementioned Multi-Fini; I’m embarrassed to say how long ago I bought this and I used it for a long time, til I just hit pan and then I replaced it with PUR Minerals and other powder foundations. I’m so glad I tried it again and I’m planning to purchase a new compact of it.
My skin tone/coloring: Very fair with neutral undertones; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes.
Favorite look you’ve worn: EYES — UD Primer Potion in Enigma. ColourPop Element of Surprise Palette: Peace of Mind (lid/halo), Rayon (center of lid, topped with Notoriously Morbid e/s in Creepy Green Light), Labyrinth (crease, lower lid), and Feels (brow bone). NM Creepy Green Light foiled (inner corner). UD x Basquiat 24/7 Eye Pencil in Anatomy (lower lashline); Perversion Eye Pencil (upper and lower waterlines). UD Troublemaker Mascara. CHEEKS — NARS Almeria. LIPS — ABH Matte Lipstick in Dead Roses. FACE — Nyx Angel Veil primer; e.l.f. Flawless Finish Foundation in Porcelain; e.l.f. HD Powder in Sheer; Wet n Wild Fergie To Reflect Shimmer Palette in Rose Champagne.
Most used product of the week: Urban Decay Backtalk Eye & Face Palette. I like it, though some of the shades are easy to overblend. The only shade I have a big problem with is Bare. It a bit of a dusty shimmer bomb, and really close to my skintone. Dry, it really only works for me is to buff it in a “one and done” all over color for a quick look. The cheek shades are all great. I really hate the packaging. The mirror is awkward as hell and falls out during use. Taking it out and putting it back every time I use it is kind of annoying. It’s not a must-have palette by any means, but I don’t regret getting it.
Any new beauty discoveries: Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer in LIght Bronze. I picked it up on sale, and it lives up to the hype. It’s a shimmery bronzer that actually really works on pale skin. I don’t wear it all over my face, but it looked good putting it where the sun hits.
Skin tone: Very pale with cool undertones.
Favorite look: It is a toss up between the Dior eye look and the MAC Padma Lakshmi look I did yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the MAC look. I liked the look of both MAC palettes but wasn’t sold on the blue shade of the shimmery greenish shade. I ended up using the 70’s Sunset palette. I used the lightest warm toned shade in the upper left corner as my transition, the medium rosy shade in the crease, the greenish shade on the mobile lid and the deep purple/blackish shade on the outer V. It turned out really nice. I used both of the lipstick shades that I purchased, Sunset Rose and Apricot Gold. I mixed them both on my lips as alone they were both too light for my pigmented lips but even that didn’t work so I ended up using a slightly mauve/rose lip pencil to darken the lips up a bit. For blush I used the Dior Snow Blush in 02 which is a rosy/peachy shade. I want to use the Desert Dusk palette next.
Most used product of the week: My Dior Snow blushes. I had to start using them right away otherwise I don’t know if I would have been able to use them. The embossing is seriously stunning. I may pick up another of the 03 blush just to stare at.
New beauty discoveries: I have to say my Sonia G Worker One brushes. I purchased one a while ago and went back and ordered two more from Beautilish. These are serious game changer brushes for me with my little, hooded eyes. I think the Worker One’s are sold out now but I am seriously considering getting a couple of the Sculpt brushes also.
I think you and I bought the same things from the MAC Padma line. I am trying that eye look tomorrow!
My skin tone/coloring: Light medium, yellow undertones, dark brown hair & eyes.
Favorite look worn: Soft pink and old gold eyes courtesy of Viseart Tryst – Liason on lid, Illicit crease, Flirt blended on the outer third and a smidge of Rendezvous inner corners with Zoeva Glance liner. Nars Orgasm blush and Colourpop Lumiere lippie stick.
Most used product of the week: Tryst palette!
Any new beauty discoveries: Got my first Natasha Denona eyeshadow palette – #02 5 pan – amazing texture and colour payoff. Severely tempted to splurge on a larger palette when I get my pay rise – Lila or Star?
CeeBee, as soon as I saw your post over the weekend, I pulled out Tryst and tried your look! I am wearing it again today. On Monday I wore Seduction on inner 1/2 lid, Paramour on outer 1/2, Illicit in outer V and crease, and Liason for transition. Ii just love Seduction and Paramour on the lid together (simple pleasures, I know). Tomorrow I am thinking about using Illicit, Liason, and Dangerous in a gradient fashion, starting with the darkest color close to the eye, medium color to smoke out dark color and transition it into the crease, and then the lightest color as move toward the brow bone. Thank you for the inspiration!
My skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones
Favourite look you worn: Went for a ‘gold’ look this week – Half Baked on the lids, with mushroom in the crease and the amber shade from Lorac Pro Metals in the corner and paired it with Milani’s Bronze Metals lipstick.
Most used product of the week: My Mushroom eye pencil!
Any new beauty discoveries: That I love the UD eye pencils and plan on getting a few more…..
My skin tone/coloring: fair/warm
Favorite look you worn: ColourPop Glass Bull Pressed Shadow on my lid, Makeup Revolution Flawless Mattes 32 for everything else, Eyeko Skinny Liquid Liner (DS), Clarins Supra Volume Mascara (DS), LA Girl HD Pro Concealer in Green, elf Flawless Finish Foundation in Natural, Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, Essence Make Me Brow Gel, Laura Geller Baked Highlighter in French Vanilla (DS), Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Paaarty (DS), and Clinique Long Last Lipstick in Pink Spice.
Most used product of the week: Makeup Revolution Iconic 3 Eyeshadow Palette
Any new beauty discoveries: Clinique Long Last Lipstick in Pink Spice… My mom gave it to me, she got it in a bonus bag a while ago and already had one. It’s almost too cool-toned for me, but it’s still wearable and looks so beautiful. Clinique lipsticks are criminally underrated!
Skintone / Coloring : light, MAC NC 15-20, med brown hair and eyes
Favorite Look Worn : MAC Texture in the crease. MAC Sumptuous Olive on eyelid. From Qween Supreme Palette, I put Call Me Qweenie over Sumptuous Olive. Ricepaper in inner corner. MAC Broque eyeliner on top lash line. Their mineralize multi effect mascara in charged black on my lashes. Mixed warm soul and stay pretty for my blush. Whisper of Gilt as highlight.
Most Used: Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer. MUFE Excessive Lash Mascara. MAC Broque eyeliner. Clinique Even Better Foundation. NYX Matte Not Flat Foundation Powder in Nude.
New Beauty Discoveries: I’m getting so bored with panning and using products up!
My skin tone/coloring: Light neutral leaning cool
Favorite look you worn: kvd shade + light quad in smoke. I forgot how much I love the base colour as a crease shade. A very simple neutral coolish palette.
Most used product of the week: iT cosmetics CC the shimmery one in Light with a dab of The Ordinary serum foundation in 1.0NS to lighten. Shade Light is too dark for my skin and fair has proper depth but wrong undertones
Any new beauty discoveries: Oskia Serum 16. I bought a full sized based in how plush and clear my skin felt and looked using a sample. It put me in mind of the very first serum I ever used.. twenty years ago in my mid 30’s:. Prescriptives Super Line Preventor.
