Vieve Muse Modern Matte Lipstick ($26.50 for 0.1 oz.) is a deep red with strong, cool undertones and a semi-matte finish. The texture was slightly firmer in the tube, but it had good glide without being heavy or overly thin when applied. It had rich pigmentation that adhered evenly to my lips and didn’t emphasize my lip texture or my lip lines. It stayed on nicely for six hours, left a stain behind, and was lightly hydrating.

The lipstick is supposed to be "creamy, comfortable, and powerfully pigmented" while being hydrating over time. They were semi-opaque to opaque in color coverage, while the texture felt slightly firm, thin (but not clingy), and had more glide than I would have expected based on the initial feel of the bullet against my lips.
What was most surprising was that they applied evenly for the most part (and the range of hues runs lighter), and they were fairly forgiving of lip texture (but a few settled into my lip lines a bit), and did seem like a "modern matte" yet wasn't heavy on the silicones in feel like a lot of current matte formulas are. The shades lasted between four and six hours on me and felt lightly hydrating over time.

Vieve Vieve Modern Matte Lipstick ($26.50 for 0.1 oz.) is a medium peach with warmer, yellowy undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had opaque color coverage, and for as light of a hue as it was, the product applied fairly evenly and had very minimal settling into my lip lines.
The texture was lightweight, slightly thin but not clingy, and had enough glide not to tug during application. It wore well for three hours and felt non-drying.

The quality looks solid, especially with how nicely the very light beige Vieve applies. However, I do have dupes for Muse, not surprised, really. And, I think that Vieve would be just a hair too light on me. Sure, I could make it work with a deeper liner and a coat of gloss, but I do have UD Abstract and MAC Shy Girl for my paler nudes.
Holy shit Vieve looks SO pale on your lips, so much moreso than the bullet. It was one of the ones I was curious about so that’s a bullet doged!
I’m very glad you have Vieve reviews. Her packaging and color stories really caught my eye, but I’m more cautious about makeup purchases these days *and* it’s international shipping (so far as I know? she’s in scotland?) so I need to know before making a purchase that I won’t regret it.
The red is gorgeous! I’m happy the peach scored so well, even if it’s not my color. I know many people look for nudes like that.
