Urban Decay Score Afterglow 8-Hour Blush
Urban Decay Score Afterglow 8-Hour Blush ($26.00 for 0.23 oz.) is described as a “medium pink-peach with a touch of shimmer.” It’s a softened, light-medium pink-peach with warm undertones and fine gold micro-sparkle. Tom Ford Beauty Pink Sand (LE, $65.00) is pinker, cream. Clinique Melon Pop (P, $21.00) is less sparkly. ColourPop Trickery (P, $8.00) is lighter, cream. Laura Mercier Sunset (LE, $24.00) is lighter. LORAC Unimaginable (LE) is more shimmery. Too Faced Who’s Your Poppy (LE) is more shimmery. Benefit Bella Bamba (Palette) (P, $28.00) is darker, more shimmery. This powder blush formula is supposed to offer buildable color with eight-hour wear and a blendable consistency. This was my least favorite of the Urban Decay blushes, as it was drier, almost dusty, with a tendency to sheer out on the skin. The sparkle seemed to separate from the base color, which may have contributed to that dusty feeling–and that there was almost no shimmer once applied to the face. The texture wasn’t as blendable, and I could only build it from sheer to semi-sheer color coverage, so I wouldn’t recommend it for deeper skin tones. It is also extremely dupable with many, many better-performing options out there. On me, it lasted for seven hours before fading.

It still looks good on you. But so disappointing when a really shimmery looking blush ends up looking matte on the skin.
Me too 🙁
Oh no 🙁 I’m glad I saw this before it launched, this was one of the ones I was considering but this looks like a no go for me! Going to stick with Crush and Quiver!
Too many better variations on this color, IMO!
Oops, not really a big score then 🙁 Too bad. But luckily there are plenty of other amazing shades in this collection that do deliver.
LOL!
I’m buying this blush simply for the awesome package, because one more blush in my collection is not what I need.
There are better shades to choose from, if you just want the packaging! 🙂
RAPTURE caught my eye
Nice!
Too bad this one didn’t perform well. It was the one I was looking forward to the most. I guess the good thing is it’s so dupeable I’m not terribly disappointed.
Thank goodness for better dupes, but it’s always a bummer when the one you were eyeing doesn’t turn out as well!
Dang! This was the one I was most excited for
At least there are a lot of dupes? Maybe? 🙂
Fortunately, I wasn’t interested in this one – my HG blush of this type is Illamasqua’s Sophie.
Phew! 🙂
I don’t think I have Sophie… hmm.
I love it so much. It is the blush I reach for whenever I look extra tired or I’m sick or in need of a general pick-me-up. It just brightens my whole face. It looks fairly shimmery in the pan, but I don’t find it at all glittery when on, just a gentle hint of gold-tone shimmer.
Oh no! A dud! Such a pretty color. Thanks for spotting this one for us!
The shimmery ones don’t seem to be as consistent as the satin/matte ones!
oh what a shame. it looks so pretty in the pan.
I know! So sad.
Aw, that’s too bad. At least it’s not one of the more unique colors.
Silver lining, haha!
I still own my old one of this. Still going to buy it.
Enjoy it 🙂
What a disappointment! I was really thinking this was going to be my color from the bunch. Oh well….
Aww!
Like others, this is the shade I was drawn to the most…its really too bad. I’m not a huge fan of shimmer but why bother to include it if its going to separate?
Exactly! It’s like those sparkly eyeshadows 🙁
That is a bummer since that was a shade I was interested in. At least it is a shade with a ton of dupes.
Aww!
I don’t think this blush deserves such a low rating. As someone who’s NC10, I cannot wear those other brighter, more pigmented blushes. I struggle finding any blush that looks natural. The majority of these new blushes look pretty and bright in the pan, but don’t work in reality when applied to pale skin. Score was one of the few that shows up on me without looking clownish or unnatural.
I’d say if you’re darker than an NC15, then you could easily pull off a more pigmented blush. But if you’re fair, then this is definitely one worth trying. It has good lasting power, something that’s difficult to find in sheer blushes. That’s why there’s always a problem for me. When I finally find a neutral sheer blush that looks good, it just doesn’t last more than a couple hours, because its sheer! But this one does last all day. So maybe your review on this specific color is a bit biased because you’re lucky enough to not be very pale, I don’t think you understand the pale clown blush struggle.
It looks great on you! I don’t see anything bad about it…
The texture!
