In this next look at Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick ($22.00 for 0.09 oz.), we’re featuring several of the cooler-toned pinks available in the range. Please see part one for a more in-depth review of the formula overall.

Jilted Lipstick ($22.00) is described as a “deep fuchsia shimmer with blue shift.” It’s a vibrant, brightened fuchsia-red with iridescent shimmer and a soft sheen. The consistency is thinner than other shades in the range, and it had mostly opaque color coverage, but there was a very, very subtle translucency that gave this shade a stain-like appearance. It lasted for six and a half hours well and left behind a stain for another two hours. Givenchy Fuchsia Irresistible is cooler-toned, less red. Guerlain Girly has less shimmer. NARS 413 BLKR is more matte. NARS Jardin des Plantes is lighter. Guerlain Gigi is lighter, less shimmery. Guerlain Champs-Elysees is pinker. OCC Queen is less shimmery. See comparison swatches.

Anarchy Lipstick ($22.00) is described as a “bright fuchsia.” It’s a bold, vibrant fuchsia-magenta with cool, blue undertones and a glossy sheen. It’s incredibly pigmented with opaque color in a single stroke. The consistency is creamy enough that it glides on readily but doesn’t slide around or feather outside the natural lip line. It wore for six hours well and left a fuchsia stain for another hour or so. Maybelline Electric Fuchsia is similar. Maybelline Fuchsia Flash is slightly less blue-based. Maybelline Hot Plum is a touch darker. MAC Dear Diary is lighter. MAC Night Blooming is purpler. MAC Show Orchid is darker, shimmery. MAC Pink Pigeon is more matte. MAC Daddy’s Little Girl is more subdued. MAC Candy Yum Yum is brighter. OCC Nylon is brighter and lighter. See comparison swatches.

Obsessed Lipstick ($22.00) is described as a “bright baby pink.” It’s a subtly, cool-toned cotton candy pink with a luminous sheen. It had good color payoff, and the consistency had slightly more slip than some of the other shades, so it can get streaky if too much is applied. It wore for four hours when I tested it. MAC Raspberry Swirl is lighter, cool-toned. Maybelline Pink Pop is brighter, bluer. MAC Divine Choice is similar. MAC Pink Nouveau is bluer-based. OCC Narcissus is purpler. OCC Femme is lighter, warmer. See comparison swatches.

Turn On Lipstick ($22.00) is described as a “rosy pink.” It’s a vibrant, cool-toned, medium pink with a luminous sheen. It had rich, full color coverage, and it applied evenly and smoothly. Turn On wore well for five hours when I tested it. MAC Speak Louder is darker. Chanel Insolente is warmer. Bobbi Brown Wild Rose is more muted, darker. See comparison swatches.

I fear these would wash me out/be garish or make me look dead (that means you, Obsession). Cotton candy pink doesn’t work for my lips. Are they pretty? Sure! They’re very Barbie-reminiscent and we all know Barbie was never very pale (or very close to a papery white tone lol). She was more like unnaturally orange-y.

Actually, I received a sample of Anarchy and being a pale person myself, I was very pleasantly surprised. It brings a huge pop of vibrant color that contrasts amazingly with lighter skin tones. Given, I also tend to wear the rest of my makeup more natural, mostly mascara and a little eyeliner only eyes, some foundation and blush. Not too heavy on yhe eyes so as not to look like a hooker, basically. I’d give it a chance if I were you, it’s very flattering. Also, I have blonde hair and still didnt feel like Barbie. Just felt very glamorous, pretty, and high class.

For the VivaGlam Gaga fan, Obsessed is a nice dupe. I bought it and tried Obsessed on my lower lip and VG Gaga on my upper lip and I didn’t notice a difference. Even my boyfriend had a hard time telling that it was 2 different lipsticks.
