Urban Decay Naked Reloaded Eyeshadow Palette ($44.00 for 0.49 oz.) is a new take on the brand’s original (now discontinued) Naked palette. It’s really less of a “redo” and more of a totally new, neutral-themed palette. The palette launches on February 18th at Urban Decay and February 27th at retailers. Here are swatches…

P.S. — You can compare this palette to Anastasia Sultry here. Sultry has a few, fairly distinctive shades (Cyborg, Slate, Rose Quartz, Ember, Twig) that end up giving a different look overall, but they have some overlap so if you tend to go warmer anyway (Teak, Dystopian, Birch, Cinder, Steampunk), then your looks may end up looking more similar regardless of the palette. Sultry is going to have more contrast and depth as well.

I know a lot of people aren’t excited about this, but I am! I think this color combo is gorgeous! A lot of people also say it looks a lot like ABH sultry. Even if it does, i don’t appreciate the ABH formula. But I love UD formula…so I’ll be getting it! Thanks for the swatches !

I agree! I like the formula of UD and I have not had success with an ABH palette since Modern Renaissance.

I think this palette is pretty. I will get it one way or the other because I collect all of the Naked palettes (and I use them all regularly). I’m looking forward to it!

I think it’s interesting that they made what’s probably considered the base colors on the ends in larger pans, then the pans right next to them a little smaller, and the rest of the pans are yet a little smaller. It also just dawned on me the likely explanation of the unlikely addition of that coral shade in ABH Sultry and now this palette (though it fits in this color scheme better) is because of Pantone’s 2019 Color of the Year 2019 being Living Coral. While this palette isn’t as warm as the UD Heat palette, it’s still got the same vibe with it leaning warm and orange. I don’t do well in those shades. As a replacement for UD Naked 1 that they discontinued, it is so popular to this day, I think they should have kept it, and just added this palette on it’s own if they wanted to.

I actually have revisited my original Naked lately because now truly neutral palettes seem almost original. When it first came out, it was trendsetting. Only eventually did it seem commonplace once the imitators came out in full force. The Reloaded seems like the opposite… it’s fine but nothing revolutionary. Though, we’d probably be more into it if ABH Sultry hadn’t just launched. Based on the swatches, Sultry (which I have and love) appears to blow it out of the water.
I feel like I liked UD shadows back in the day but so many brands have surpassed them in quality now. Curious to see the review!

This will never take the place of or measure up to the original Naked palette for a lot of reasons, at least not for me. A few of the colours sort of caught my eye but there are many more I don’t like much. Dreamweaver and Distilled both look nice but I’ll wait to see how they rate with you, Christine, before making any decision.

Now I’m sorry I didn’t buy a backup of the original Naked palette. I thought the new Naked palette was going to be the same but perhaps better quality. I agree with Christine this is a totally new palette!

I want it for collection purposes but I’m a little annoyed they changed the packaging again. I would’ve preferred they stuck with the same style packaging as the. Naked cherry, heat, & Smokey.

The layout of this palette is really throwing me off…I’m so used to the light–>dark arrangement of the original

I still think the original palette was better, though they are pretty close. This one just adds a bit more coppery-ness.

Very, very pretty. And I hope the inclusion of some glitter shades doesn’t ruin the palette, as glitter can be very problematic for most.
However I will be sticking to my Sultry palette.

I’m literally on the fence with this one. I knew about it awhile ago, and what has impressed me is that I feel like this walks the neutral tightrope quite nicely. Not too overtly warm, nor so cool as to run ashy on those of us with darker medium or tan skintones, or beyond. There’s nice balance. But I’m reserving my decision until after you’ve had sufficient time to test and then write the review for it.

I have ABH Sultry, but I still plan to grab this one. I think they’re different enough to own both, yet similar enough to not feel compelled to rush out and buy this one… I do wish, though, instead of Barely Baked, UD included a matte black…

I’m torn… I never got the OG Naked palette because I was happy with my Too Faced Chocolate Bar and never felt the need for the blues/grays in Naked. I’ve been THISCLOSE to buying ABH Sultry ever since it came out but never pulled the trigger because, again, I wouldn’t use the gray/black tones. I feel like the colors on this are really calling to me so I’ll wait for the review and hope for my wallet’s sake that it rates so-so.

This palette is such a snooze. Shame UD, shame. It’s nothing we haven’t seen before and it’s trying too hard to be ABH but failing. I’m sure it will sell bc it’s basic but for a beauty junkie it’s pretty meh. Ud used to be my fav bc they were cool and edgy now they’re just boring. It sucks.

Now I’m kind of sad that I gave away my original Naked palette. This one seems too warm and light, too golden/bronzey, the inclusion of the blood orange is just confusing and there is not enough contrast or dark shades to make this very useful to anyone darker than a medium complexion, though I would be glad to be proven wrong on that count.

I got Sultry in the Beautylish Mystery Box. I actually wasn’t interested in Sultry, but now that I have it, I really love it and I’m glad that I was able to get it before it goes away. So since I have Sultry, I won’t need this; especially, since Sultry has more interesting shimmers in it. But I do think this is a good replacement, I found that the Original Naked could muddy quickly if I wasn’t careful.

I am still so irritated with UD for this mess. This palette does not appeal to me as there are at least five colors that would not look good on me. I was about to replace my Naked palette for the third time because I was into the corners on some shades, only to find it discontinued and no where to be found. The original Naked palette was my go to standard palette. I don’t go for trends or lots of color, I go for what I look good and what is comfortable to wear. This in no way replaces the original Naked palette for me.

Nope, nope and nope. I think I’m Naked over and I was never really a Naked fan. I have only one palette, the 3, and that will likely be my only Naked.
