Formula Overview

The formula is supposed to have "intense color and instant'shine" in a single layer, while still being "comfortable to wear" and moisturizing. The brand also claims that it will wear for 16 hours, be transfer-proof and resistant to both water and food. The brand says to shake the tube prior to application.
I'm happy to report that the formula actually lived up to its claims! It was incredibly long-wearing where 16-hour wear was absolutely within possibilities, though I'd say that two greasier meals did start to break it down more noticeably (so around 12-14 hours, depending on eating schedules). It was food and water resistant; I didn't see any marks left on my glasses while drinking my morning lattes or water throughout the day. After a meal, it had almost no transfer and was very much intact on my lips except for the very inner area after an oil-heavy (pesto!) lunch.
They had rich color coverage that applied evenly, was fairly forgiving and not prone to settling noticeably into my lip lines. The liquid lipstick felt lighter and was thinner initially, but it set to a slightly clingy, more satin-like sheen after about 30 seconds. I noticed that it felt less clingy after about two hours and was very comfortable to wear. It didn't seem to dry out my lips at all after wearing the product for multiple days in a row.
It seemed unscented and had no discernible taste.

Um, wow! I’m a bit impressed! I haven’t wanted anything from UD in a depressingly long time, but I may go look at these in store.
Definitely NOT a color that I could pull off nowadays! Although, way back in my 20’s and early 30’s when I was doing big, spiral permed, heavily highlighted hair; I actually DID rock these pale, donut dust, types of pink lipstick. And even when I had quite the tan going on! Ah, life in the 80’s and early 90’s, though…
I just purchased this today, and I adore this shade! It also looks great with a darker lip liner to make it pop a bit more (I’m pale-skinned). The formula definitely stays tacky (and somewhat glossy) on the lips, but it lasts and lasts and doesn’t crease or rub off in little balls like some similar products. Finally, a baby pink shade that does not suck the moisture out of my lips! Perfect with smoky eyes or dark sunglasses while wearing your favorite little black top or band t-shirt. Be warned: this shade is already selling out (Text ‘Em is too). Grab it if you see it.
I bought this, then wore it and realized the shade was way lighter than the one on the box, and then returned it. If I had waited on your review, I couldv’e seen how light it really is. I was disappointed because the shade on the lid is so pretty.
Even though this colour and my skin tone wouldn’t be friends I love when I see UD get a good review and grade. Maybe there’s hope for them. Of course they never put put a release of bad lipsticks.
Now if they could only go back to making good fun eyeshadows, blushes and so on. I miss UD from before.
