Urban Decay Born to Run 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Double Life
Urban Decay Double Life 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil (Eyeliner) ($21.00 for 0.04 oz.) is a medium-dark bronze with subtle, warm undertones and a pearly sheen and faint, larger gold sparkle. It had rich color coverage with a soft, lightly creamy texture that skated across my skin fluidly and delivered opaque coverage in a single stroke. The eyeliner lasted well for 10 hours on me before it started to thin noticeably and still had a fair amount remaining after 14 hours of wear.

Formula Overview
$22.00/0.04 oz. - $550.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to go on "smoothly, stay soft and super-creamy for blending" before it "dries to a long-lasting finish that won't budge" with "intense" coverage. I'm a long-time fan and user of the formula--almost a decade now--and they're still a go-to. I keep a handful of formulas at my fingertips, and I have all of the shades from this range in a cup within reach.
It isn't the longest-wearing formula I've come across, but I find that it balances longevity with creaminess in application and ease of removal at the end. They also wear away "kindly," so while the line might get thinner, it doesn't drag or bleed toward my under eye area. The formula has solid, long-wear at eight to 10 hours before fading, thinning, or having a bit of migration to the outer corner. The less shimmery shades tend to have the most visible movement, whereas the more shimmery shades tend to fade or thin.
The pigmentation varies a lot from shade to shade with more matte shades often having the most coverage in a single layer, followed by more metallic finishes. The more glittery the finish, the weaker the coverage and application were. Many of the shades in the range are buildable and apply with near-to or opaque coverage when applied in short, overlapping strokes. The majority are very comfortable to apply on the lower lash line or waterline.
They have a creamy, glide-on consistency as promised, and they can be smudged or blended out, so they are particularly useful for someone who likes a more diffused look for their eyeliner.
As someone who has had a lot of these eyeliners over time, I can attest to the fact that they do not dry out readily. Some of the shades I have that I don't use (because they're THAT old) are still creamy and glide-on when swatched.

Overdrive
Urban Decay Overdrive 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil (Eyeliner) ($21.00 for 0.04 oz.) is a deep, green-leaning teal with subtle, cool undertones and a pearly sheen. It was richly pigmented and had a smooth, lightly creamy texture that glided easily across my lash line and never tugged. The eyeliner stayed on well for almost ten hours with minimal thinning and still had a good amount of product remaining after 14 hours of wear.

Overdrive is beautiful! I don’t really need another green/teal liner, but I don’t have any of the dupes for this one. Hmmm…
I really love the look of Overdrive (and similar liners) but lately I’ve noticed that when I wear these green or teal shades, they seem to make me look tired. Fall might be a better time for me to pull these out, though I should keep trying (maybe it’s just that I usually wear brown or bronze shades so I’m just not used to how I look wearing green).
Overdrive is beautiful. I think this is one I will have to pick up. I really love this particular shade of green/teal.
Overdrive practically matches my eye color, though brighter! Which is how and why I not only have Sephora Fairytale, but I use it a LOT. Even though we get told not to wear our own eye color, I think that’s one rather silly “rule”!
Well, considering I have brown eyes, it would be weird not to wear brown eyeliner ?♀️
Exactly, right? Yet, for reasons that have never made sense, the fashion Police have long come for every other eye color with their “rules”!
Amen to that! Although I wear the complementary mauves and purples quite a bit, my green/khaki collection continues to grow. I have almost an entire shoe box of eyeliners, mostly Urban Decay, I’m very tempted to get this one (both of them are calling me) !
OMG – these are both beautiful, especially Overdrive. And a stellar rating too.
Overdrive is gorgeous, but green eyeliner does nothing for my blue eyes, unfortunately. The other two would be right up my alley, though.
Double Life is a maybe for me, I’ll check it out in store; Overdrive less likely as green just hasn’t ever worked well on me.
Regardless — just happy to see products that do so well. For some reason, just any A+ review makes me happy.
