Touch in Sol Cream Peach & Honey Brown Metallist Eyeshadows Reviews & Swatches

Cream Peach (1)

Touch in Sol Cream Peach (1) Metallist Sparkling Foiled EyeshadowTouch in Sol Cream Peach (1) Metallist Sparkling Foiled Eyeshadow ($18.00 for 0.04 oz.) is a bright, peachy gold with warm undertones and a sparkling, metallic finish with gold and pink sparkle. It had nearly opaque color payoff in a single layer applied with a fingertip as well with a dry brush. The eyeshadow felt more like a loosely-pressed pigment than a full-on, pressed eyeshadow, so it was very easy to pick up with a brush and best used with a light hand. I had light fallout when I applied it using my fingertip and slight fallout when I used a dry brush to pat and press it into place. It wore well for eight and a half hours with slight fallout over time.

Formula Overview

$18.00/0.04 oz. - $450.00 Per Ounce

The formula is supposed to be "highly pigmented" and "shine with luxurious glitters," which can be used with "fingertips or a synthetic brush." I actually found application with brushes (synthetic or natural) to yield less fallout and a more even application of product than using fingertips. It was almost as if fingertips picked up too much product or product unevenly, which resulted in less-than-ideal application with more fallout than brushes.

The pigmentation varied from shade to shade, but most shades were medium to opaque, buildable, and blendable along the edges without fearing fallout. I had minimal fallout over the eight to nine hours they lasted for. If you have more sensitive eyes, I'd still recommend using these with an adhesive spray or base to ensure maximum adhesion during the day.

Honey Brown (2)

Touch in Sol Honey Brown (2) Metallist Sparkling Foiled EyeshadowTouch in Sol Honey Brown (2) Metallist Sparkling Foiled Eyeshadow ($18.00 for 0.04 oz.) is a rich, coppery brown with warm undertones and a glittering, metallic finish. It was incredibly pigmented regardless of whether it was applied with a brush or with a fingertip, though fingertips seemed to help smooth it and blend it out a little more readily than a brush–but then a brush had less fallout during application. The texture was soft, more loosely-pressed, and it had some fallout during application and would be best applied prior to base products. Once on , it stayed on well for eight and a half hours with slight fallout over time.

Honey Brown! That’s the one I very nearly bought this past Saturday! I just loved the way it looked exactly like molton copper on the back of my hand. Since I need to get up there sometime today, I think I may actually go for it. It may be the least complex of the bunch, but I see myself using it in a very simple eye look. Almost a “one ‘n’ done”, except with a transition and browbone shades, too.

The Peach shade appears to be somewhat unique. I didn’t pick that one up but may have to revisit it later. I did pick up three of them but still have not received. That is the only draw back to the spring/winter sale at Sephora, you have to wait longer for your packages and I am such an immediate gratification kind of person that the wait is terrible. I just want to get them and start playing.

Honey Brown is the most perfectly beautiful coppery brown shade out! Love it.
And I really love your eye looks too Christine. The first eye look, with the Cream Peach shade, was one I attempted myself yesterday and I was pleased with the result. The mixing of the grey and plum shades, with champagne in the background is a beautiful combination.

Hi Christine! Thanks for the review. How do these Touch in Sol ones compare to MJ see quins? Im really hoping this is a cheaper dupe for MJ.

The See-quins have a little more binder to them and finer shimmer/pearl, so they have a less thick look, but they’re in the same “family” of products.
