Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Skintone/ colouring: dark brown hair, blue eyes. Colouring NW20, apparently olive in some parts and cool in others I was told at a counter today (why is nothing simple?), so probably neutral.
Favourite look/ most used product: I haven’t worn much makeup this week.
Beauty discoveries: ongoing trying to work out my skintone. Told today while sampling foundation (Dior Forever, feels lovely on) was told the above about olive/ cool/ neutral. Not sure how to work with that. Went looking for a nude-ish lipstick and confirmed I prefer my nudes pinkish. Bought Mac Mehr, which is flushed rather than obviously pink on me.

Skin tone/colouring: Light medium, yellow undertones. Dark brown hair & eyes.

Favourite look from the week: I did a triple toned purple eye using the Lila palette, using Purpure, Viola and Amethyst and topped it of with Zoeva New Jewels liner. The Balm Beach Balm on cheeks with ND All Over Glow in Light and Colourpop USL in Molly.

Most used product this week: No clue, I used different stuff every day! So probably concealer, LOL.

Any new beauty discoveries: I got the Rae Morris Invisible Mattifier in my Beautylish Lucky Bag so I’ve been playing around with that. It’s quite unlike anything I’ve used before and I’m still trying to get the hang of it.

Skin tone: Under my name. Very fair with neutral to cool undertones, grey hair and dark brown eyes.

Favorite look: I only wore makeup one time this week and it was a tutorial in what not to do!! The base, cheeks and lips were okay but the eyes were a total mess. I started off using Omega in the crease and a bit above as my transition colour. I then used the medium toned, cool brown from the Pony Glam palette to deepen the outer V. Then, I decided to add some sparkle and at hand was the corally shimmer shade from ColourPop’s Kathleen Lights Christmas collection so popped that on the center of my mobile lid. It did not look pretty. So, I tried to take it off but that failed and just made it look splotchy. So, I decided to add a lighter shimmer over it and went with a shade from the Norvina palette by ABH. I want to say it is something similar to Vermeer but anyway, that was way to different from the original CP shade. I finally gave up and if that wasn’t bad enough, I used my Marc Jacobs Blaquer eye pencil and for some odd reason, it transferred like crazy to my lower lash line. By the end of the day I looked a mess.

Most used product: Just my skin care.

Beauty discoveries: Really nothing. I have returned to crafting and so have mostly been home working on a monumental project so haven’t had a lot of time to think about beauty related things.

Your skin tone/coloring: fair, cool
Favorite look from the week: don’t think I have one; the fact of the recent weather, a snow day and exam week have made it pretty low key in terms of makeup
Your most used product this week: Youth to the People facial oil, O’Keefe’s lip balm (the stick one)
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): I got out the old UD Naked on the Run palette to use Resist and Dare eyeshadows in a pretty easy, basic look; also used (for the first time in an embarrassingly long time) MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus foundation. I forgot how good that stuff is and need to get back to using it regularly.

I don’t know why UD didn’t keep that palette around longer. So far as I know, they don’t have a “full face” type palette so it really fills a gap. The packaging was thicker and bulkier than it needed to be (it is nice looking though) but they could have streamlined the packaging and kept it.

Skintone light medium with light cool undertones.
Favorite look was a totally matte eye using the ABH Sultry palette. I’ve been using this palette over and over and am on the lookout for the next cool toned release, I’ve come to the conclusion that cool tones are much more flattering on me than warm, at least in the dead of winter when I am at my lightest.
I’ve been using Lancome’s Skin Feel Good most often and am very happy with the way it looks on my skin. I like light coverage foundations and this is a good one.
As far as beauty discoveries I was able to get my hands on Becca’s Berlin Girl highlighter. It is perfect for my skin tone, the beige-ish base is unlike any other that I own. However, I am now absolutely positively done with highlighter purchases!

Your skin tone/coloring: Fair neutral/preference to cool.

Favorite look from the week: I went to see Cher on Tuesday and I did a super dark, vampy look. I used the black in the Berries and Cream palette to set down a base, then used Game Over from Friendcation on top of it. I did a blue lower lash line, using the blue in Berries and Cream and smoking out my lower lash line, then running the blue in Friendcation over it. I had a friend over (Cher was her Christmas gift from me) and she had the blue highlighter from Ofra, and I used that on the inner corner.

Your most used product this week: The mini of CT Pillow Talk I’ve had in my purse.

Any beauty discoveries (new or old): Really enjoying the Good Molecules serum I got in my Beautylish bag. Otherwise it’s business as usual.

Your skin tone/coloring: Porcelain, with pink undertones
Favourite look from the week: Not any really great looks for the week due to the heat – still using Bonne Etoile, CT’s The Rebel and bareMinerals the Wild Thing for eye looks, plus an assortment of ginger shade lipsticks.
Your most used product this week: Definitely sunscreen and lots of it.
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): I have found that by putting on body sunscreen whilst I am in the semi nude state getting dressed means that I don’t have to worry about the product getting onto my clothes and trying to figure out which bits are showing. It also means that by the time I go outside (putting clothes on the line and going to the car) the sunscreen has soaked in. I just slather it on.

Your skin tone/coloring: fair/cool skin, gray eyes, brown hair with scattered red/blonde/blue highlights.
Favorite look from the week: yesterday: Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Ivory concealer, Fenty MatchStick Amber, Fenty Pro Filt’r 110 foundation, Tarte Amazonian Clay Unstoppable blush, Rimmel Magnif’Eyes Crimson Edition shadows-shade 2 on top of shade 5, Christian Louboutin Rouge Louboutin mascara, L’Oreal Colour Riche Collection Exclusive Eva’s Red lipstick
Your most used product this week: Pro Filt’r 110.
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): One of the samples from my last Sephora order was 4 shades of Bare Minerals Gen Nude Patent Lip Lacquer. Wednesday I put the darkest shade, Savage, a deep brown, over a hot pink lipstick and it turned into a really pretty berry!

Your skin tone/coloring: light, MAC NC 15-20, med brown hair and eyes

Favorite look from the week: Used MAC X 15 Nordstrom Now and Milani Earthy Elements. Set MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Soft Ochre w Brule. Bamboo in crease/transition. Matte orange/rust from Milani lower in crease. Matte tan color from Milani to buff out crease. Chains of Love from MAC palette on outer half of eye. Beigey from MAC on inner half. Fix + used. MAC Power Kohl Pencil in Raven on upper lashline. MAC Mineralize Multi Effect Mascara in Charged Black on top lashes. Too Faced Papa Don’t Peach Blush on cheeks. Revlon Superlustrous Lipstick in Goldpearl Plum on lips.

Your most used product this week: The basics and MAC Nordstrom Now Palette, Too Faced Papa Don’t Peach Blush and Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer in light

??? ?????? ??????????? (??? ?? ???): L’oreal Revitalift. I’d always thought it was average but since I’m going through a rare dry/oily phase with my skin, I decided to try it again. It’s been the only thing so far to help with the dry topical skin, and it did so quickly.

I rediscovered what a handy duo e.l.f. Tea for Two is for quick looks.
