Spiced Peach

Too Faced Spiced Peach Peach My Cheeks Melting Powder Blush ($30.00 for 0.44 oz.) is a soft, medium-dark plummy brown with faint, golden pearl. It had more of a satin-to-pearl finish that gave the cheeks a luminous glow but wasn’t overtly shimmery. The texture was thin, a cross between cream and powder, as it did not have the slip or wetness of a typical cream but it wasn’t quite a powder. As soon as the product touched my skin, though, it felt like a powder. This was one of the more blendable shades in the line-up, though on bare skin, I could still see “dots” of color where it looked like the color sank into my pores rather than blended out evenly. It lasted for six and a half hours on me before fading.

Formula Overview

$30.00/0.44 oz. - $68.18 Per Ounce

The formula is supposed to be a "cream-to-powder blush" that has "buildable color" and a "creamy, velvety texture" paired with a "radiant-matte finish." The consistency felt creamy to the touch, but it also felt a little powdery. It had a candy-coated shell initially--very shiny--but after one or two uses, the texture looked more matte and felt a lot drier. It seemed almost as if it was drying out over time, so ultimately, it felt more like a powder going on most of the time.

The texture was thinner and while it was no trouble to diffuse the product across the skin, it did not do so that evenly, and I noticed a lot of color that seemed to sit in my pores (like dots of deeper color). The coverage was more buildable when applied with a fingertip, but it was a challenge to get more coverage that was still blended as the color seemed to disappear as I blended it out (even just a little). The only way I could manage decent application was patting color on the apples of the cheeks with fingertips and lightly pressing to blend, and then going back with a bit of foundation actually blend out the edges. The wear was short end on bare skin at six to seven hours.

Over foundation, they were worse, as they lifted liquid foundations a lot, which resulted in uneven coverage and some unevenness in overall texture, too, as the cream-to-powder formula caused clumping with my liquid foundations (I tried three different ones with this blush formula).

Based on the cream-to-powder, kind of expected a ColourPop dupe or comparison. How DO these compare to CP? Obviously, at least by this shade, not performing as well. This one is a super shade, though.

I tried these at Sephora. Ick, I agree with you, I had patches of color that pulled at my foundation underneath. It looked horrid. Very disappointing. So glad I tried them before purchasing.

I wore mine again this weekend and it definitely does not feel like a powder on my skin – I guess skin type and the kind of base used make a difference! I wish the finish was fully matte, I think it would be more in line with the description of the entire Sweet Peach collection, and I don’t find the shimmer, as fine as it is, to be particularly flattering on me.

I tried this on twice in the color Just Peachy and it had no pigmentation , nor any longevity. It barely lasted an hour. I love, love the heart shaped TF blush and find that is the most long-wearing blush that I own. It lasts longer than Tarte, Hourglass, Clinique, UD and Bobbi Brown. The down side is that I have only owned it a month and the blush completely fell out of the pan. I tried to exchange it at Ulta and they would not exchange it. I am not sure what to do as I thing it is the best blush. I don’t want to purchase another for $30. and have that happen again!
