Too Faced Plumagranate Fruit Cocktail Blush Duo Review & Swatches
Plumagranate
Too Faced Plumagranate Fruit Cocktail Blush Duo ($30.00 for 0.22 oz.) consists of a bright, fuchsia pink highlighter and a deeper pink blush. While the highlighter had room for improvement, the blush was easy to use and beautiful applied. The two shades coordinated well together for a richer highlighter/blush combination, which should make it particularly versatile on medium and deeper complexions.

Plumagranate (Highlighter)
Plumagranate (Highlighter) is a bright pop of medium fuchsia pink with cool, blue undertones and cooler, lavender pearl paired with flecks of larger micro-glitter. It had medium pigmentation in a single layer, which was buildable to full coverage with two to three layers. I didn’t notice the glitter on my skin, so I do not think that any actually adhered to begin with. The texture was a bit denser than desired, as it took a heavier hand to get product to transfer onto my brush, and it did not diffuse as easily as it should have once it was on my skin. I found I had to pat and buff in circular motions to really even out the application and get a more seamless edge. It stayed on well for eight and a half hours on me.

Formula Overview
-
The formula is supposed to have "buildable payoff" that has a "soft-touch, silky" texture. The pigmentation ranged from medium to mostly opaque, so some shades were truly buildable and others had to be used with a lighter hand (or less dense brush) to achieve sheerer, buildable coverage. The consistency was smooth but firmer in the pan, but with a typical highlighting brush and a medium hand, I didn't struggle to pick up product, so it was more in the vein of "not powdery" rather than stiff. The powders blended out easily, sat well on my skin, and lasted for eight to nine hours on me.

Plumagranate (Blush)
Plumagranate (Blush) is a vibrant, medium-dark pink with subtle, warm undertones and a cooler, bluish pink sheen. It had medium, buildable pigmentation with a smooth, slightly denser consistency. There was no powderiness in the pan, and I was able to pick up product using a moderate touch and a typical blush brush. The color applied evenly to bare skin and blended out easily along the edges, which led to a slightly more luminous finish as I buffed and blended the powder into my skin. It wore well for eight and a half hours on me before fading a touch.

These are pinkish berry shades that I’m really digging! Stunning together in the pic at the beginning. Definitely a very nice autumn /winter combo that I can see working with all my berry toned lipsticks!
Wow – that is so bright, but I am sure it would suit some complexions. And whilst Too Faced’s eye palettes are not always good, their blushes and highlighters often are. Love the finish on this one.
These are very pretty. That highlighter would certainly be a blush on my skin tone but I’ve been really into luminous blushes. I don’t have a whole lot of texture, but I wonder how much it would emphasize what I do have.
Very pretty, but wa-a-ay too bright for this pale face!
OMG, I absolutely love this!!! I don’t know if I could pull off such a cool-toned blush, but I’m going to swatch it and find out!
