Too Faced Papa Don't Peach Sweet Peach Blush Review, Photos, Swatches
Papa Don't Peach
Too Faced Papa Don’t Peach Sweet Peach Blush ($30.00 for 0.32 oz.) is a medium, coral-copper with warm undertones and a pinkish tint paired with a soft, frosted finish.
It is supposed to be “rich” and “pigmented” with “buildable payoff” and has a peach scent. The blush has been released before–the last I can recall was in the Everything is Nice palette–but I found this release to be darker and pinker with less warmth (which I think will make it more wearable across more skin tones). It had good color payoff that was easily blended out on the skin, and the color could be diffused and sheered out, if desired. The texture was soft, fairly smooth–a little dry overall–and didn’t emphasize my skin’s natural texture but had a noticeable sheen. It wore well for eight and a half hours on me before fading slightly.

I do really like the color and finish! I am going to pass on this, though – the thought of a peach scent really turns me off, and I I just hate the packaging! I know they are going to a kitsch-y cute thing here, but their heart shaped items like the BonBon palette and Perfect Flush blushes are about as cutesy as I can take. A cartoon peach with eyeballs? I just can’t.
I wish they made it glaringly apparent everything was permanent through their site – I feel like I kind of had to dig around for confirmation on their social media 🙁 It’s obvious people are responding to the theme (even if for some it’s too kitschy!), but I feel like it’s easy to get swept up in the hype!
Same I wish they would stop with the scents
Unless this is vastly different from the versions of Papa Don’t Peach in past palettes, I have this (in the 2014 or 15 holiday palette) and rarely (as in one time, just to prove to myself that I’m not a totally close-minded type) use it. On an unrelated note, Christine – have you yet reviewed the 2nd Chanel eyeshadow quad yet? (I think it’s Codes Elegants?). I saw the review for Codes Subtils, which you showed second in the preview of the new collection so I wondered if I’d missed the review for the other one, which you showed first in showing that collection.
The Codes Subtils just happened to work better with more of the lip colors I swatched the day I photographed the Chanel launch vs. Codes Elegants, so I had it ready first.
Lovely shade for sure, but I don’t know about that scented of peach thing here, though. Probably wouldn’t affect me being *just* on my cheeks as opposed to my mucous membranes, but I will pass on tempting fate.
I’ve decided that I must in my “Grimstine” mode, because I’m so over scented products for makeup. I just want “non-scent” – where I don’t get strong base smells nor do I want added fragrance. If I want fragrance, I’ll opt for a body cream, oil, or perfume!
Thank goodness it looks good and rated well because I ordered it anyway, Wish it was unscented though. I too dislike scents in make up.
I’m lucky not to have any issues with scented products but I’ve been dismayed and a bit stumped too ever since the first Chocolate Bar eyeshadow palette came out and almost everyone was delighted to the point of hysterics by the chocolate scent in it. I thought that was a really foolish thing to do since a lot of people have real problems with fragrance (even if it’s “natural”; even if it’s “chocolate”) in cosmetic items. And in something that goes right near your eyes – to me, this just seemed really dumb, all for keeping a “theme”. I do own 2 of the eye palettes but were I someone with sensitivities to scented products, I probably wouldn’t have bothered trying them.
That’s how I feel Mariella – I am not sensitive in terms of reacting to any of the Too Faced palettes as of yet, but I don’t really see the point and think it makes more sense to leave it out for others.
Ah I couldn’t do without Mac’s lipstick scent though.
I love blush shades like this. Is this the same color as the blush in the cheek palette?
Hi Tiffany!
I addressed this in the review above: “The blush has been released before–the last I can recall was in the Everything is Nice palette–but I found this release to be darker and pinker with less warmth (which I think will make it more wearable across more skin tones).”
I think she might have meant is this the same blush as in the new sweet peach glow palette with the bronzer and highlighter… which I am actually wondering too!!! 🙂 I’ve searched everywhere for the answer and maybe I’m just missing it…
No, they are different products – the formulas are different!
Sorry! I read that, but I just didn’t know if that included the new Peach Glow face palette too. Thank you!
The Sweet Peach Glow palette is a separate product!
Don’t need. Don’t need . DON’T NEED. That is what I’m telling myself. I’m not going to be suckered in with cutesy packaging. Peachy pinky blush is definitely not something I’m lacking in my collection. Lol
Well, it’s supposed to permanent, so there is no rush! And I am sure you have something similar 😉
Can u pls suggest an alternate peachy pink blush ?
I don’t normally indulge in this brand because the quality doesn’t look good to me when I see it. But the peach , the emojis— so cute. I got this yesterday, and so far love it. I don’t know if I agree with their description of being a bronzy peach, but you are right, it is very wearable. It is replacing my MJB Kink and Kisses which pulverized into a fine powder after carrying 2 weeks in my purse.
It is more rose gold to me but without some of the metallicness that we usually see in “rose gold” items.
Your poor MJB blush! 🙁
The price tag seems outrageous to me for ONE Too Faced blush… But I realize it’s much larger than blushes from other brands such as MAC, Nars. Still, $30 hurts…
It does seem high for Too Faced! Same with the Sweet Peach Glow palette at $42.
I worry about the scent a bit, but other than that I really like this coral, especially since it has the potential to work with a range of skin tones.
The scent is definitely noticeable in the pan/compact!
I have the prior version from Everything is Nice holiday set, and I like this color better. So pretty, but unfortunately, can’t take the fragrance, so will be skip for me. Kind of sad as all the close dupes are LE or pricier 🙁
Aww! 🙁
Looks like MAC Cantaloupe
I can see some similarity!
Really like this, good to see it’s permanent so maybe I’ll be able to pick it up sometime next year. Crucially, I’ve no dupes for this shade.
Hope you can check it out, Claire!
Is this the same shade as the single they had years ago? I depotted it a long time ago and it broke :(. I loved that blush! I also had pinch my petals and mocha. They were my depotting guinea pigs and they didn’t fare well 🙁
Sorry, I only have the version that was in the past palette that I mentioned above!
Pretty! And what a fun name.
It’s cute!
What am I missing about scented shadows and cheek products? It’s so contrary to…everything. I clearly am not the target demographic, I just don’t get it. I’ve passed on amazing lip products for the scent, I just can’t imagine why I want chocolate and peach scented face products.
I’d rather “non-scented” products – nothing unpleasant but nothing really added either!
Hi Christine! How does the single blush compare to the blush in the sweet peach glow kit?
They are different! You can pull up comparisons of non-dupes through our Side by Side tool – in the Swath Gallery!
I think this might be a bit much for me between the sheen and the scent.
