Tom Ford Rose Prisme Eye Color Quad Review & Swatches
Rose Prisme
Tom Ford Beauty Rose Prisme Eye Color Quad ($88.00 for 0.35 oz.) is a new, very light color story featuring four shimmery shades of gel-powder eyeshadow. Normally, this formula is reliable and tends to be the better and higher-performing one from the brand’s quads, but three of the four shades did not feel as creamy and seemed to have less slip, which made them have a thinner, drier feel overall.

Rose Prisme #1
Rose Prisme #1 is a medium-dark peach with warmer, more orange-leaning undertones and a sparkling finish. There were much larger sparkles in this shade than the rest in the palette, but it was also more sparkly than previously seen from the brand in the gel-powder hybrid formula. The consistency was drier, thinner, and more prone to fallout, which also made it harder to build up pigmentation. It had semi-sheer color payoff with a dry brush and medium coverage with a dampened brush. There were signs of fading and light fallout after seven hours of wear.

Rose Prisme #2
Rose Prisme #2 is a medium peach with warm, orange undertones and a pearl finish. It had medium pigmentation applied dry and mostly opaque coverage applied with a dampened brush. The texture was smooth to the touch, but it was thinner and drier compared to how the formula typically has been for me. It lasted well for seven hours before fading visibly.

Rose Prisme #3
Rose Prisme #3 is a light pink with cooler undertones and a pearly sheen. It had semi-opaque color coverage applied dry and more opaque coverage applied with a dampened brush. The consistency was moderately-dense without being overly firm, but it seemed a little drier than expected. It stayed on well for seven and a half hours before fading noticeably.

Rose Prisme #4
Rose Prisme #4 is a medium, rosy bronze with warm undertones and a metallic sheen. It had rich color payoff regardless of whether it was applied dry or wet. The eyeshadow felt smooth, moderately dense but not too stiff, and “melted” onto my skin. It wore nicely for eight hours before fading a bit.

Such pretty colors. I wish it had scored higher. ๐ฅด
Unbelievably BAD quad for a few reasons: quality and that those 3 shades cater only to the palest of pale folks. There’s no way that I, a true medium at NW35, could make this work.
Dare I say, for the price, this is a bit of a dud? Only the fourth shade is of good quality, the rest are average. And that light pink shade looks out of sync with the rest too.
The third shade is the only one interesting to me, I wish the palette had been cooler over all, or that the cool pink had been a warmer one, if it had I wouldn’t have wanted it.
It seems TF is slipping, and have been for quite some time now.
Ah what a shame about the quality! The colours are so perfect for the light skintones, and I feel like there isn’t enough in the market catering to this group. Most palettes aim to suit medium to medium-dark skintones, I think….
I like this quad. It could have a bit more oomph, but I am quite fair skinned, so itโs nice having a TF option for very soft looks.
