Tom Ford Clash, Stunner, Powertrip Lip Sparks Reviews & Swatches
Clash
Tom Ford Beauty Clash Lip Spark ($55.00 for 0.1 oz.) is a deep, coppery red with warm, orange undertones and flecks of orange and red sparkle. It had medium to semi-opaque coverage in one layer, which went on fairly evenly but could have applied better. The texture was lightweight, emollient without being heavy or slippery on my lips during wear, and was comfortable to wear. I didn’t notice the texture during application or while worn, though if I pressed my lips together firmly enough, I could detect that I was wearing a more glittery product. It stayed on well for five and a half hours and was lightly moisturizing while worn.

Formula Overview
$56.00/0.1 oz. - $560.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to "look" like "loose glitter on lips" with "uniform payoff" and "multidimensional color" paired with an "emollient" feel. The pigmentation varied from medium to semi-opaque that adhered evenly and fairly smoothly to my lips. The consistency varied from emollient without any grit/texture from the glittery bits to slightly noticeable during application but didn't feel gritty or rough to me while worn (for any of the shades).
The texture had slip but was lightweight and on the thinner side, so it did not feel slippery. Only one shade was problematic--Surge--which clumped up and was sheerer compared to the other shades. They lasted between four and six hours and were lightly hydrating over time. They had a hint of vanilla scent but no discernible taste.

Stunner
Tom Ford Beauty Stunner Lip Spark ($55.00 for 0.1 oz.) is a rich, ruby red with flecks of red, gold, and fuchsia sparkle and micro-glitter. The color payoff was semi-opaque in one layer, which applied evenly and smoothly across my lips. There was a very subtle sense of all the glitter in the tube when applied, but I didn’t feel it was gritty or noticeable when worn. The consistency was lightweight, thin (but not clingy), and emollient, which made it comfortable to wear. It lasted nicely for six hours, left a faint stain behind, and was lightly hydrating over time.

Powertrip
Tom Ford Beauty Powertrip Lip Spark ($55.00 for 0.1 oz.) is a bright pop of fuchsia pink with cool, blue undertones and flecks of iridescent blue and violet sparkle and micro-glitter. The pigmentation was semi-opaque, which adhered evenly and smoothly across my lips with good sparkle/glitter dispersion. The lipstick had a lightweight, emollient consistency that glided on without tugging and was comfortable to wear. While it had a lot of sparkle/glitter, it didn’t feel rough or overly textured when going on, but if I really pressed my lips firmly together, I knew I had a bit o’ glitter on (not anything bothersome–but I think that can be subjective, e.g. if you loathe the feel of any shimmer ever, then it might be a deal-breaker). The color wore well for five hours, left a stain behind, and was lightly moisturizing while worn.

Not my cup of tea, but I sure love admiring these! Wow!
I figured that this one would be the best. Just to hot of a pink for me to justify the purchase. I’d rarely where it. Lovely on you!
Tom has been all over the place lately! I am going to shock myself here, but, I think these may be too glitzy for me, LOL! I like a good glimmer/shimmer/glitter lip but these look like they could be seen from outer space. I feel like they might really emphasize my lip lines both on my lips and above my lips. I swear, I am going to save my money and get my lips injected!
Ack.. the pink so liquid looking and multi-D! Having a little self talk right now. I can dupe this with lipstick and lipgloss.
Yeah… Colourpop Double Agent Ultra Glossy Lip Gloss on top of a hot pink will do it.
Oh god. I want this one so badly. I just cant justify $55. Ughhhhhhh
So. Damn. Pretty.
My favorite shade of the 3 actually graded the lowest of them, LOL. I really love the coppery red of Clash a lot more than some of the similar glittery red that seem to veer pinker.
Love the Clash one, but would rather get the Pat McGrath Electra one, less money. The pink one is stunning too, but these are a lot of money. I’m almost finished with Marsha Marsha lipstick. But, that one was limited edition. Got soooo many compliments on that one too.
Janice, you might consider looking at Urban Decay Cruel. It’s close enough for me…less glittery and a bit more muted and a whole lot cheaper, lol.
Thanks! I will check this out.
I am throughly enjoying my POWERTRIP Lip Clash. It is stunning worn as a topper over so many different types of lip products and colors. I have worn it over pink, soft rose and various shades of red. I have used CLASH as a topper as well, but am having more fun with POWERTRIP.
Stunner and Powertrip really inspire the wants. But my wallet screams “no!” So pretty!
These are $70 in Canada, I took them out of my cart, there are other things that I can purchase with that money…
gawd it’s taking a lot for me not to buy clash…..the color……the name vibes……..the fact that i had a punk phase not too long ago..
OMG – Clash is my kind of lipstick and I hope for my wallet that Colour Pop brings one out like this.
These are all gorgeous. I think Urban Decay Vice in Cruel might be a possible dupe for Clash. It’s not exactly, but for me it’s close enough and I already have it. I submitted it for your review Christine.
Stunner reminded me of Wizard of Oz Ruby Slippers. I’m certain it’s copy writed. I do have 30 years of Cairn Terriers and love that red. Toto was a Cairn.
These are beautiful but luckily I have pat McGrath dupes for all 3 so I am covered!!!
Man, none of Powertrip’s dupes have the same intensity of blue flash. I’m probably going to look like a cheap clown if I wear it, but I can’t help it…
Do I have dupes for Powertrip? Yes. Do they have that degree of stunning blue shift? No. Dammit.
Do you know there are like 13 of these? I dont know if we are getting all of these in America, but I just got Control from John Lewis UK website.
Sorry, I’ve shared all the ones that I have! Most shades sold out so quickly everywhere else 🙁
Omg dont worry at all. I dont even know if they will be sold in the usa. Its so annoying when they have colors that we dont get here!
They are all selling out, I go in 2 weeks and I bet nothing is left to buy in the uk.
I asked TF PR, as well as Beautylish, about them this morning, but it doesn’t look like they are coming to the US – at least not at this time – though curiously, Tom Ford’s website actually mentions Bolt and Trance in the copy – so weird! I was looking to grab them from Selfridges but so many were gone, but hopefully store stock is better!
Not interested in buying any of these, but I could happily stare at them all day — especially Power Trip!
I want to try them so bad, but they dont ship to Norway!
