MAC Vegas Volt Lipstick
($14.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a brightened orange-coral with a creamy, opaque finish. It’s a very rich, intense color that definitely brightens the complexion and works particularly well on warmer skin tones. I love the full-color coverage of this lipstick, and the amplified finish makes it such an easy-to-wear shade. Vegas Volt is a really classic MAC color, in my opinion. It’s just one of those shades that’s easy to be drawn to.

Never thought Vegas Volt could be this pretty!!
It’s abit too bright for my liking! 🙁 & i feel that corals just don’t go with my tanned skin tone!boo!
I bet it you applied it a bit less opaque it could work.
What a gorgeous color of coral… I might have to try this one out! Its so hard for me to find a good coral with my skin tone (NC42)

I love MUFE HD!!! I think it’s the best foundation ever created! I’ve been debating on whether or not I should get Vegas Volt – I’m NC 15 OR NW 15… It really depends on which product I’m using – MAC Foundations / Concealers vary on me… Some times the 15 is too dark and I would use a 10 if they actually carried it in most products lol… But I think I’m definitely going to get this and Impassioned… I’ve been dying to get that as well!
This is my next lipstick purchase!
I love it! I never would have thought to look at this if I hadn’t seen it on. It looks very bright and vibrant in the tube but it actually looks very wearable.

This is so pretty. Could it work for paler girls? I’m not shy when it comes to bold lipstick but I don’t want anything that isn’t good for my skin color.

Hi Christine! I’m so glad you brought Vegas Volt up! Could you do a MAC Ravishing Lipstick review? I’ve heard that it’s hard for the colour to stay true to the lipstick unless a lip erase is used::~ Is that true?
Also, I’m having a hard time pairing a lipstick with the MAC Perennial High Style::~ Any suggestions~? I’m trying to make it look more corally since it looks too pink on me and I’m warm toned::~ Thanks so much!
I don’t think so – it just depends on your lip pigmentation, like any other lipstick!
Try corals and oranges – like Vegas Volt or See Sheer!

So how similar is this to Ever Hip and the two coral’s from Pret-a-Paper? I’ve got enough stuff to back-to-mac now and this is one that I’m interested in, but not if it’s too similar to other stuff I have! =)

Neither do the two corals from Pret-a-Papier compare to this, IMO. This is much, much brighter and opaque.

just seems as if vegas volt is a bit more intense and orange. ever hip looks a lot like this on me, probably because i’m about an nc15-20.
I wish Ever Hip would look like this on my lips! I’m very pale too but my natural lip colour (quite pigmented too) makes Ever Hip look more pinky-peach on me. I wouldn’t call it nude but it’s very light compared to Vegas Volt.
hmmm….maybe mine are less pigmented, i can never tell 🙂 but ever hip is pretty bright on me, i can’t wear it in the daytime. also try in synch lip liner with perennial high style lipglass over it.

I think you could check this out, but if you’re scared, try Ravishing or Crosswires first 🙂

i purchase this lipstick 2 weeks ago and i LOVE IT! it is truly the PERFECT summer color. beautiful coral that is amp’ed…looks fabulous anywhere!

Vegas Volt is one of my FAVORITES for spring/summer! Can’t get enough of it!
The color is so pretty but I tried it a few times and always looked so foolish wearing it, ended up swapping it away.
Would it still look okay on cooler-toned girls? Or is there something similar that would look better? Such a pretty color!

I love Vegas Volt, and it’s a beautiful color on you. One of my favorite summer looks is kind of an updated take on the pin-up look, with a clean cateye, bronzed (naturally, or with makeup) skin, and coral lips.

i love this coral but i think i dont carry it well may be the lipgloss i use or whatever i really dont know how to make it look good on my nw35 skin tone….

This looks lovely on you Christine. I just bought this a couple of weeks ago and i really like it but it just shows a little darker/browner on my lips. I have quite pigmented lips. Do i need to put a very pale lip liner first like naked or subculture before this to show the true color on me? Any suggestions? Thanks.

You might find a lip liner helps to neutralize your lip color a bit to get it to show up more orange on you!

I LOVE Vegas Volt!!! On my NC45 skin it looks amazing…but I like to tone it down just a bit. I wear it with Mahogany liner and Smile dazzleglass right now..and I’ve heard it looks awesome with Ornamental lustreglass. Do you know of any other combinations for this wonderful lipstick? Oh…I also want to try it with Bare Necessity 🙂

I’m NC45 too and if I buy Vegas Volt then I have to wear it with the Cork lip pencil, otherwise it will be just too much!
I LOVE Vegas Volt but like it a bit toned down than it appears in the tube. I love it with Springbean and just discovered Vegas Volt looks phenomenal with Mahogany lip liner/Smile Dazzleglass. I can’t wait to try it with Baby Sparks, Bare Necessity and/or Ornamental. Do you know of any other cool combos for this awesome lipstick???

It’s a completely different color than Ravishing, so I wouldn’t compare them!
Weird.. We don’t have this in Hong Kong.. 🙁 I don’t know why.. Is it possible that some lipsticks are not released internationally?
It could be — I know Asia gets a few lipsticks we don’t.

Vegas Volt is brighter and more orange than Costa Chic.

I just bought this and was curious to see what other people thought…..I LOVE it. I’m a huge fan of bright lipsticks, so this was right up my alley. As soon as I saw it, I had to try it! Its a bright orangey-coral on my pink lips, and I think compliments my NC20/25 skin tone. I was worried it might wash me out, but i think it’s perfect!

MAC doesn’t really have any other corals than Vegas Volt and Crosswires in their permanent range.

Either one, really! Vegas Volt is more orange, Crosswires pinker.
