Tarte Remix Tarteist Lip Gloss Review & Swatches
Remix
Tarte Remix Tarteist Lip Gloss ($20.00 for 0.20 oz.) has a clear base and contains multi-colored shimmer and larger flecks of micro-sparkle in copper and pink hues. It’s described as a “clear gel gloss” that has “reflective floating glitter,” a “cake batter” scent (noticeable when applied), and gives the illusion of “fuller and more luscious” lips.
It looked a lot more intense and dramatic in the tube, as it translated to a lightly sparkly gloss on my lips but didn’t have any noticeable shift and somehow, a lot of copper sparkle didn’t seem to reflect the light much. I expected a lot more oomph but much of the copper particles just sat there, though I didn’t feel them when I pressed my lips together. The texture was lightweight, smooth, lightly tacky (but not too thick, so it didn’t feel like glue), and very easy to spread across my lips. It wore well for three hours and was hydrating over time.

I think this is not a winner – clear gel with sparkly bits? To me, it would be annoying – I wouldn’t stop licking my lips. I can’t see any copper bits either.
It sure looks pretty in the tube, too bad it doesn’t translate to the lips.
Merry Christmas Christine and Family!!!?
And Temptalia reader’s too!
When I saw the promo, I was all *grabby hands* and then I happened to get it as a press sample, excitedly photographed it… let down (personally).
You ain’t kidding about it being disappointing on compared to how it appears in the tube! I’ll gladly take my MAC Caketop over this one.
This is weirdly bad. Hard pass, not even as a topper.
