Tarte Blush Bliss Amazonian Clay Blush Palette Review, Photos, Swatches
Blush Bliss
Tarte Blush Bliss 4-Pan Blush Palette ($39.00 for 0.80 oz.) has four shades of warmer-toned blushes–two peach/corals and two pink-based shades. The palette had two really lovely blushes while the other two were less pigmented and shorter wearing, so it was a bit of a mixed bag. I imagine if one doesn’t mind more buildable coverage (while simultaneously enjoying pigmented blush!), then the downsides won’t be deal-breakers. I wish there was more differentiation between the shades, since there are only four; it would have nicer to see perhaps a mid-tone coral, deep copper-brown, muted plum, and a vibrant pink.
Value
A full-sized Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush retails for $29.00 and contains 0.20 oz. or costs $145.00/oz. The palette contains $116.00 worth of blush.

Genuine
Genuine is a muted, medium coral with strong, warm orange undertones and a matte finish. The texture was soft, somewhat powdery in the pan, but it was quite blendable on the skin. It had medium coverage that was buildable to semi-opaque coverage with two to three layers of product. This shade lasted for nine hours on me.

Formula Overview

The Amazonian Clay Blush formula is supposed to have 12-hour wear along with a “supremely soft” texture. There’s a lot to like about Tarte’s formula, as it is softer (sometimes dusty), blendable, and fairly smooth with good pigmentation, but for me, I rarely get 12-hour wear–I do get between 8 and 10-hour wear, though.

Breathtaking
Breathtaking is a medium-dark pink with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation that appeared slightly brighter buffed onto my skin. The consistency was soft, a bit thin, and a little dry, and I had trouble diffusing the edges and getting the color to look even on my cheeks. It wore well for nine hours on me before fading noticeably.

LELimited Edition. $29.00.
Graceful
Graceful is a medium, pink-coral with warm undertones and flecks of gold sparkle and finer pearl. It had good pigmentation in a single layer with a soft, smooth, and blendable texture, though there were larger, looser sparkles that did come away from the base powder a bit. On me, it wore for almost ten hours.

Graceful
LELimited Edition. $29.00.
Lovable
Lovable is a deep pink with neutral-to-cool undertones and a matte finish. It was intensely pigmented with a soft, velvety texture that was a touch powdery in the pan but blended out nicely on the skin. This shade stayed on well for ten hours before fading slightly.

For those last two shades, I am seeing this as potentially worthwhile! Even the 2 that weren’t quite as pigmented could be usable for more casual days. I agree with you that Tarte ought to have had greater variation between the different shades. A rich plum and a coppery shade would have bumped this one up onto my WL.
Too bad this isn’t better but my wallet thanks you 😛
This is clearly good value, ounce for ounce but the shade Genuine isn’t a good colour for me and 2 C/C+ ratings, while not the worst, don’t encourage me to get this either. And you are so right, Christine, a blush with significantly different colouring – maybe a nice plum/wine shade – would have been a nice inclusion.
Oh, I am so sad this is only at Ulta! My cat’s name is Bliss, and I love Tarte’s blush formula. If shipping to Canada wasn’t ludicrous I would be buying this without even a second thought. :/
Is this only at Ulta? In the “Where to buy”, Sephora is included in the list so I thought it would be available here too.
The Where to Buy list is auto-populated based on where the brand is available but we’re not able to specify it on a per product basis.
Oh, I didn’t realize that and always sort of relied on it. Does it say somewhere in your review that this is an Ulta exclusive (again, I may have read through way too quickly and missed it entirely)
No, I probably didn’t mention it because I forgot at the time when I wrote the review!
i bought this and really love it. I agree that it would have been nice if a plum shade had been included, though. I think they easily could have left Breathtaking out and included that plum. Speaking just for my fair-skinned self, I’m really glad there was not a deep brown, because I would have not have bought a 4-pan palette with one pan I couldn’t wear. It would have been really nice if they had done a version for deeper skin tones, with that deep copper brown and bright pink you mentioned, and a couple other suitable shades.
Very similar sets of colours here, but I think these would be the shades most worn. I agree, it would have been better to add in some different colours.
I got this in sale because I had stored up Ulta points and I am glad I did. It presently surprised me and I think it is totally worth even full price personally. I love Tartes shimmery shades and the one in this palette Graceful is beautiful. I also really enjoy Genuine, even though it scored low I didn’t have any trouble myself. I thought it was unique when compared to last years palette. I enjoy having them both. But I am a blush addict admittedly! I think fellow blush lovers wouldn’t mind swatching in person to decide. That’s what I did. The packaging is obviously gorgeous too.
Graceful is my kind of shade!!
This is the first product for which I have zero dupes. Not surprised at all. Just don’ look right on me., the pink, esp coral family.
I just don‘t get the appeal of this. These shaded don‘t differ that much from any blush wheels Tarte has relieved so far. What‘s the point?
It‘s „shades“ and „released“, of course
I don´t won any Taste blushes yet and figured that one might be a good start. Not so sure now.
