Surratt Beauty Se Pomponner Artistique Blush Review, Photos, Swatches
Surratt Beauty Se Pomponner Artistique Blush
Surratt Beauty Se Pomponner Artistique Blush ($32.00 for 0.20 oz.) is described as a “dolly pink.” It’s a rich, vibrant magenta pink with cool, blue undertones and a soft, satin finish. Urban Decay Savage (P) is darker. NARS Coeur Battant (LE, $29.00) is darker, redder. NARS Desire (P, $29.00) is similar. MAC Florida (LE, $21.00) is a cream product. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Se Pomponner is one of the more vibrant and bolder shades in the Surratt blush range, but even so, it is still a shade that builds easily or can be buffed/blended away if you feel you’ve applied too much, due to the incredibly soft, finely-milled texture. The powder has such a silky feel that it almost has the texture of a cream product–it’s that smooth. It has a satin finish, so there’s a touch of sheen that becomes more luminous as the blush gets buffed into the skin, but it never emphasizes pores. On me, this shade lasted for almost eight hours before fading.

Absolutely gorgeous!! You look beautiful! <3
Thanks, Shipra! 🙂
I felt like I shot myself in the foot by not picking up Coeur Battant, but this certainty might make up for it. It looks amazing on you Christine!
Aw, thanks, Izzie! 🙂
If sheered out and worn a moderate amount, as in an everyday look, do you think this will be similar to Peony Petal and MUFE 210? Because i have both of those and they look exactly the same on me when i go for a subtle look. There’s only a difference in finish.
I think it’s cooler/brighter than 210 for sure. Peony Petal ends up looking more lilac on me, even when sheer, so they’re both different on me compared to this but worn sheer enough, your undertones might make them look different!
Most blushes pull a little bit more red on me than in the pan, like a slight shade change. Do you think it’s because I have warm undertones? That’s why i think it’s pointless to lust after this, haha. Will you be reviewing Ponceau?
I think so!
This looks very flattering on you, Christine! I recently received Surratt Beauty’s Aureole, and you’re right — the texture is divine!
YAY!!! So glad you’re loving the texture, Carolyn! xo
Very bright! I like it, but I already have Desire.
Easy skip!
It’s beautiful!
It is!
On the cheek, this reminds me a little of Stila’s Custom Colour in Pink (maybe because I put it on this morning) 🙂 In the pan, though, this looks a little more intense.
Sounds like a pretty shade!
It is! I neglect it way too much. 🙂
I love how it looks in the pan! So much pink lol. It looks really good on you too!
Thanks a lot, Fancie!
I have this one
How do you like it, Stacey? What brush do you use to apply it?
BEAUTIFUL ON YOU! Love it! I’m always looking for something like this, but often times these colors pull warm on me.
I would be surprised if this one did that – it’s quite magenta/blue! Definitely bluer than a lot of fuchsia blushes are in general, so perhaps this could work on you!
This is so beautiful, on the cheek it looks like how plum pop does on me though. I’ve already got 2 surratt blushes on my “post dissertation proposal reward” list haha
How long do you have left on your dissertation proposal?
I think it looks beautiful on you. My cousin is getting married in September and was asking me about pink blush. I sent her a link to this page. Thanks!
Congrats to your cousin! 🙂
My kind of color! What lipstick are you wearing? (Please don’t tell me “None” 🙂 )
To be honest, I have no idea what I’m wearing here. I couldn’t figure it out based on my notes (I think this was a one-off photo).
Hehe, chuckled at the name of this one! So appropriate 😀 Especially with ‘dolly pink’ as the description!
I really love how these cool magenta pinks look on you, Christine!
Thank you, Sylirael!
Never heard of the brand but it’s gorgeous! I hope you manage to fit that in (to wear) with all the testing you do. Love!
Glad ya liked the color, Megan!
The shade is indeed gorgeous.. and loved the way how blended and wearable it comes on cheeks.. looks beautiful on you. 🙂
Thank you, Poo!
I saw this and thought “not for me” … it’s really flattering on you, Christine.
Thanks, Vanessa!
Very pretty on you!
With NARS desire in stash, not needing this one. This line is beautiful but the offerings are so easily duped it has made it difficult for me to commit to buying to try. I’m still thinking about that super pale apricot colour.. maybeeeeee
Thanks, Wendy!
I totally understand – it’s a small, more basic range, so there isn’t a lot of really unique shades. (At least not yet…)
What a lovely colour!
It really suits you, Christine.
Aw, thanks Helene!
I love this color! So pretty!
Glad ya liked it, Phyrra!
I’m surprised how much I like it!
Woohoo!
What a gorgeous blush! you seem to pull off any colour Christine, I don’t know how you do it 😛
this reminds me of a Sleek blush.. i think it could be Flamingo, though this is cooler toned.
Thank you! 🙂
This is really pretty. Christine, how does it compare to Tom Ford’s Narcissist?
Totally different! Here’s a side-by-side comparison – http://www.temptalia.com/submit-dupe?sbs=1&pid=169599&dupe=116690
