Surratt Beauty Perfectionniste Lipslique Review, Photos, Swatches
Surratt Beauty Perfectionniste Lipslique
Surratt Beauty Perfectionniste Lipslique ($34.00 for 0.05 oz.) is described as a “pinky rose.” It’s a soft, muted pink with subtle, warm undertones and a natural shine. Urban Decay Sheer Streak (P, $20.00) is warmer. Givenchy Brun Vintage (105) (P, $36.00) is more opaque. MAC Mystical (LE, $16.00) is slightly warmer. Estee Lauder Dynamic (P, $30.00) is lighter. Tarte Tulip (P, $16.00) is pinker. Urban Decay Fiend (P, $22.00) is pinker. Tom Ford Beauty Indian Rose (P, $50.00) is darker. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.
The formula is supposed to be an “alternative to lipstick” with a “sheer to medium finish.” (As a note, Sephora also has the following: “Surratt Li[p]slique goes on smooth, delivering sheer yet buildable color. This moisturizing formula features high-coverage and goes on thick for lasting, subtle color and a glossy finish,” which is confusing and contradictory, and Barney’s, which was first to carry Surratt when it debuted, doesn’t have anything like that.) The texture is creamy with moderate slip that glides on easily and feels comfortable to wear without being too heavy or too thin. Perfectionniste has semi-sheer coverage that goes on fairly evenly and smoothly, while the color lasts for four hours and is hydrating over time. There was no scent or taste to the formula. Worth noting is that it comes in a twist-up, slim pencil, and it contains substantially less than your average lipstick (0.05 oz. vs. 0.10 oz.), though it’s not a real surprise, as the slimmer format typically results in this type of quantity (across brands).

OMG!!! That is a perfect everyday shade! AMAZING finish! LOVE LOVE LOVE!
Yay! Glad you liked it 🙂
Pretty!
It is!
I love it! The color is beautiful, the finish is very nice. But I don’t think I can pay that much for that little. I would probably go for the Urban Decay Sheers before I go for this one.
It is a small amount 🙁
That color looks absolutely divine on you!!!! Its soo expensive though? Did you feel the condition of your lips was improved after wearing? The only lip product (other than a lip balm) that I’ve found gave moisture and nutrients to my lips was the Urban Decay Naked Lipglosses.
Hi Alex,
It is hydrating while worn, but I don’t wear something like this back to back for days/weeks, so I don’t know if it is going to give you long-term benefits!
Very pretty. I might be more tempted to get Sheer Streak because it’s cheaper.
More product, too!
Oh that’s cute! I hope my local sephora gets at least a small display of this line to get to swatch in store.
Fingers crossed! 😀
Beautiful color and finish, but too spendy for me. I’ll stick with Sheer Streak.
Good call! 🙂
Oooh, this is just the kind of semi-sheer lipstick I like for nudes and pinks. Reminds me a bit of a more opaque Chanel Rouge Coco. It’s very pretty on you, Christine. 🙂
SOOOO much more hydrating than Rouge Coco for me, lol! It’s one of the few balm-like formulas that actually seems hydrating for me.
I like this! perfect for summer. You look stunning here Christine!
Thank you, Nicole! 🙂
This shade is nice! I love the formula, but not so much of a plum wear so Peccadille wasn’t the best choice for me. lol
lol! Maybe your next pick will be a better fit 😉 The formula is nice, but gah! I wish it was a bit more in terms of quantity.
This is a very pretty classic shade. Really wearable and work-friendly, I like it!
Definitely easy to wear!
Gorgeous color on you! Super flattering 🙂
Thank you, Susie! xo
Wow yes, that REALLY is perfection :-O I love it.
Woohoo!
Christine, i love the look you you have created here!
Thank you, Karen!
such a pretty shade! expensive for amount of product – might actually finish it!
LOL! Good and bad, I suppose…
pretty but too expensive
They are nearly Tom Ford-esque prices, given that it’s not full packaging!
