I have to be honest, I am all about this collection. I don’t know what it is because there’s nothing really there that we haven’t seen before. But maybe because everything’s so shimmery, I’m like a moth to a flame *heart eyes*
I’m very excited for this collection! I can’t wait to see the swatches!! 🙂
As a HUGE fan of MAC Reflects Glitters, I’ve always thought Reflects Pearl looked kind of… cheap LOL! It’s sparkly but lacks the wow factor that the others usually have. (That transparent gold one?! Ugh! SO pretty!) I do use this one though it’s mostly to mix with others or make into a sparkly lip gloss.
You just gave me an idea on that eye gloss. I thought that would be a mess but if some pigment glitter sticks, I might have to pick it up.
Where in is the pigment in powders, lipsticks and lipglosses?? Most these are so sheer, you can barely tell the difference between the colors, and will probably only show up on the lightest of complexions and lips. Maybe they should rename this the Snow White collection? The shadow kit looks pretty decent, but it’s another neutral set. I like the Pretty It Up pigment, Pearl Glitter, and Bow Fluid line . Curious about the eye gloss -hope it’s not a hot mess, but if it is, want to see it in action !
Cinderella isn’t exactly packed with pigment 😉 Shr’s always had a soft pastel look. If this were Snow White, there woulf be more reds/pigmented pink/etc
True, then I want a Snow White Collection !!
Well, at least the palette looks decent… Might get it! 😀
Lightly Tauped, Happily Ever After, Royal Ball, and Coupe D’Chic will be mine!
Btw, I hate when companies do the D’ inappropriately. It only goes in front of vowels, doesn’t it?!?! AARRRGGGHHHH.
Ughh this bugs me too!! It’s supposed to be a contraction so that you don’t have vowels together (the word is de and shortened to d’). Since Chic does NOT start with a vowel is should be De Chic!!!
/nerd rant over
THANK YOU. It’s just so irritating. Especially with a brand as global as MAC, you’d think there’d be SOMEONE in there that’d be like,
“Nope, I speak French and this is totes wrong. Add the ‘e’, bruh.”
Just saying haha 😀
WOAH THAT EYESHADOW PALETTE ACTUALLY LOOKS GOOD??
sorry, got carried away there. not used to seeing a MAC LE palette release with decent swatches! VERY excited about this!
I felt the exact same way when I saw the eye shadow palette…. might have to pick it up 🙂
I was excited, then saw all the shade I like where permanent. I’ll fill up my pro palet instead! Lipstick sounds interesting
Maybe they finally listened to all the bad reviews and came out with a decent shadow palette? We’ll see..
I am a little bit disappointed with this collection, especially the lip products. I know that most of the eyeshadows are from permanent collection but I actually don’t have any of these so I might get the palette.
Sparkles sparkles everywhere! Definitely a sweet princess-y collection! I’m more evil step mother :p
Do my eyes deceive me, or does that MAC LE release eyeshadow palette look decent?! I love the packaging on these products.
I need that eyeshadow palette! It has so many MAC shadows I’ve been wanting to try, and the packaging is so cute. Might have to pick up a lipstick to add to my collection as well!
The lipstick and the eyeshadow palette look incredible!
I super disappointed about the lipsticks, but I’m definitely getting the Coupe d’Chic Iridescent Pressed Powder. I’ll wait for your review to see if I get the Mystery Princess Beauty Powder or the Stroke of Midnight Eyeshadow Palette.
I was interested in the pressed powders, but I just bought Cindy-Loumanizer, so I doubt I need these as well. The shadow palette actually looks good, for once! Sort of like the plummy palettes Tarte has been putting out.
That “eye gloss” looks like it would be an incredibly uncomfortable thing to put on your eyelids… the color is gorgeous, but it looks so sticky!
And I really wish this collection had a lipstick in a visible color… but at least neither of them are a bright blue-based red?
I really am excited for the reviews of this! Yes, it is pretty dupable and probably nothing I “need’. But, it is pretty and really awesome for spring! The eye pigments, eye gloss and pigments are my favorite to look at. I have never used a Mac highlight or beauty powder. So, very interested in that as well. I am also grateful that there is a time lapse of some sort between the Toldeo collection and this because I spent a lot on that! I also like that this is pretty much opposite end of the spectrum of Toldedo. I am pretty hopeful that Mac is stepping up their game. My poor wallet is sobbing!
Oh my gosh, the sparkle of this collection! I am in love. Looking forward to the review of the products! I’m on a low-buy this year so I have to be very picky.
NEED the eyeshadow palette and maybe one (or both) or the lipsticks! And lip glasses. And beauty powders.
Since the brushes aren’t shown in any photos does that mean it will be the black handle?
Ohhhh I’m so feeling the Happily Ever After Lipglass and the eyeshadow palette! But I must ask, are the powders meant as highlighters? I can’t think of anything else as they seem pretty shimmery!
I can’t wait for your review of the eye gloss. I’ve been obsessed with the look for ages, but it seems like the current formulations only work for editorial purposes. I’d kill for somebody to come out with a gloss that actually works for real life.
me, too, Ceebee..Eebee. i’ve read reviews of the eye glosses on the MAC site and nobody seems too impressed with them, but I might try to suffer through giving it a try. I LOVE shiny eyelids and have tried more things than I can name trying to get a shiny lid look. If I could invent one item, it would be an eye gloss that was shiny and not horrifying to use!
Definitely curious to hear your thoughts on the eyegloss. It’s a really unique product and there don’t seem to be a ton of reviews, although everything I’ve read seems to indicate that my hooded, oily lids and I should stay away.:-)
I agree with everyone else who seemed surprised that the LE palette swatches make it look decent!
Thank you so much for the swatches. I may pick up the two powders and one lipstick as collectors items. I am disappointed in the packaging, and the fact that the eyeshadow palette has five permanent eyeshadows in it. Really? Smh. This collection really does not embody the magic of Cinderella at all.
I’m not digging this collection apart from the packaging, and really that’s not enough to entice me. Pass! 😀
The Coupe d’Chic powder and Evil Stepmother pigment are sooo cool! Looks like a great collection! I’m wondering how the lipsticks will turn out once you’re wearing them, though, they seem quite sheer in the swatch pictures.
I hope the eyeshadow palette doesn’t sell out too quick.
I like the idea of a tinted Eye Gloss but I don’t know if it would work on my partially-hooded lids.
Why oh why did they have to make that palette almost entirely permanent shades????? I have all but that last dark shade. This actually looks like it might perform decently too… BOO!
My thoughts too! I have 2/6, but I still don’t feel as drawn to the palette…
The eyeshadow palette is quite fetching, as are the glosses. I’d love to replace my broken Quarry.
Would say that either of the pressed powders are similar to the “flatter me” powder from the Archie’s Girls collection? I’m in need of a replacement.
Marketing, whatever.
The colors speak to me 🙂
The Free as a Butterfly lipstick doesn’t seem too pigmented, but the eyeshadow palette looks good!
Looks like a gorgeous collection, love the look of those highlighting powders!
Craaaaaaap I was hoping to avoid this collection but that iridescent powder is SCREAMING to me.
Ok, now I know I don’t “need” this, but would like to pick up the eye shadow palette at least 🙂
Monica.
The palette actually looks good! All the eye products look better than I anticipated. Lippies and face products, pink and sparkles, not my thing.
Truly appreciate your reviews and swatches!
Looks awesome! But unfortunately i dont like lipsticks in lustre finish i Guess i’m not a Disney Princess
🙁
The pigments and fluidline are nicer than I thought they would be!
omg YASS to that eye palette. Those are some of MAC’s best shadows.
What a let-down. Poor Cinders doesn’t go to the ball based on this collection. The eyeshadow palette would be great for someone fairly new to MAC (and I love that dark purple) but what makeup lover of long standing doesn’t already have several of those shadows? I still like Pretty It Up pigment, but everything else has less than no appeal for me.
I think the packaging is lovely, but the collection as a whole is underwhelming. I do think they captured the ethereal spirit of Cinderella, but it’s all too light/airy/neutral for me.
i knew it was pretty…now i know its pretty amazing! can’t WAIT for this collection to come out! these colors are SO my style 🙂
Limited Edition products does nothing for me anymore. Neither does that packaging. I love Mac standard black packaging. I just love the more sleek safisticated packaging in general. Look like something my 15 year old Neice would like…
Evil Stepmother!!! And maybe the eye gloss…
PASS. Definitely a pass. I’ve got super fair skin and still most of these things wouldn’t work on me. Very sad, lacking inspiration in a big way. They could have done so much more with this, seriously.
May I also just say that all of these colors are easily found in basically any Tarte palette so if you already have one of those it may not be worth it to you to buy this palette unless you’re in it to collect.
temptalia – how do you use a ‘beauty powder’ ? is it like a finishing powder like the hourglass ambient ones? the maleficent & Red Red Red collection had a beauty powder too but never knew how to apply so i never bought it.
Honestly, it depends on the shade and your skin tone. It’s basically a face product, but some are more like blushes, others all-over finishing powders, others bronzing, etc.
The theme of this collection is adorable but I don’t see anything here I’m drawn too…maybe the Beauty Powder…
Ehh this doesn’t do much for me honestly. The shades look almost outdated (and not it a cute retro kinda way). The ‘Evil Stepmother’ pigment and the Fluidline are really the only two things that catch my eye.
Why are the pressed powder be shimmery???
I think I just died, the eyeshadow palette is sooo gorgeous! I also love the Evil Stepmother and Pretty It Up pigments, they look so unique I cannot wait to see these in person. Definitely will pick something up from the range.
Seeing the colors swatched makes me less excited about the collection. Oh, well.
I’m 28 and yet I’m still obsessing over Cinderella, lol. She’s always been my fave. I hope I can get the items I want. Can’t wait!!!!!!!
Quarry, Reflects Pearl, Phloof and the eye gloss are all things I’d like. Not sure what my budget can handle, but ooooh, they are so pretty!
The Iridescent Powder looks beautiful!!
I like the look of the Iridescent Pressed Powder!
I really like the look of this collection. I’m glad that MAC are actually releasing a collection that DOESN’T have a red lipstick in it! (Kinda tired of those reds.) The eye gloss isn’t for me (what would you do with that?) and I’ve never figured out the purpose of beauty powder, but everything else… It’s definitely on the maybe list. That eyeshadow palette looks beautiful, but it’ll be quite expensive in Australia so I might have to pass on it.
The Happily Ever After gloss and the Evil Stepmother shadow look like the winners here to me. I honestly wouldn’t know what to do with an eye gloss on a non-runway basis, LOL! ^_^
Omg! That palette looks pretty promising! Might have to pick it up!
Too bad that the peachy pink powder is not a matte blush, would have loved it in that colour! The eyeshadie palet looks really nice, the only thing that interrsts me from this collectionnbased on the actual product.
The eye gloss and the little bow fluidline looks good to me.. rest of the collection will be too pale for my medium-dark complexion.. :-/
Absolutely adore this collection! Dear would you like to do a tutorial using Cinderella collection!
Yet another bland limited edition from MAC.
I am very disappointed in the packaging too. Its as if they changed the color and slapped “Disney’s Cinderella” on it. MAC needs to really step up their game because so many other brands have surpassed them as far as quality and creativity these days. I would rather invest in NARS or Urban Decay or Make Up Forever……
Will this be available at Mac counters or just Mac stores?!
Can you pre-order this collection?
Your local store/counter might allow it, but it seems like it depends on the location!
Is there any difference in color or pigmentation between mac’s pretty it up pigment from the holiday set collection (objects of affectios beige + golden) and the version lauched in this collection (cinderella)?
I was to the gallery swatches to the a comparisson beteween them, but despite the differences you pointed on your description they are exactally the same as if you just swatched one of them.
Thank you for your help
The texture is the major difference. Check the review! 🙂
Does anyone know when this collection will be available in the department stores (ie: Macy’s Nords)?
Is it going to be available at Nordstrom site?
MAC said “select locations” but didn’t go into detail or specify!
what are the brushes like? is there special packaging or just the black and silver?
They’re just regular MAC brushes. There is nothing special about them.
