Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Lips Matte Liquid Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.24 oz.) is a new formula that debuts next week. It’s supposed to have a “soft-focus matte” finish that “glide[s] like a gloss” on the lips that gives “full coverage” with a “light as air” formula. Here are swatches:

It’s super nice looking:). And Dangerous Liason looks like a wonderful spice color for fall.. but will wait for the review…and what my wallet says…lol

These look lovely, but I’m surprised at how similar many of the lighter colors are to each other. With that said, Dangerous Liaison is calling my name… Thanks for the swatches Christine!

The lighter colors, like all the lighter lipsticks I have, all have this caramel/light tan/slight orange’y hue to them. I liked pillow talk the best, but for the price, have found others that are faves for a lot less, and her lip glosses were very small.
Some are pretty, but nothing seems like “omg, I have to have it.” Not that unique.
Awesome to see these swatches! Thank you!

I don’t think I’ve ever seen CT wear anything but a warm nude lip. Her entire line leans very warm, imho. If that’s what you meant in your comment by being predictable, I agree!

Charlotte Darling is my favorite from the swatches.Platinum Blonde and Best Actress are nice colors but I want to see how they score before I commit to purchasing any of them.

IDK, the lighter colors have a thick, clumpy finish, the medium and darker colors look better, but I think you you can get these colors from other brands, with better formula and much cheaper too

A very CT collection colour wise. I like Indya’s comment because while they colours look non-streaky and solid, they definitely have a moussey looking texture. I’m not sure I’m game as liquid mattes are always tempting but rarely satisfying for me personally. I picked up a NARS and I never wear it. On the plus side: These do not look drying.

I love the colors but have been burned by supposed “great formulas” too many times to count. I would be much more excited for these if they were regular lipsticks in regular bullets. (I absolutely do not mind reapplying lip color throughout the day, it gives me the opportunity to check on everything else at the same time, lol!)

The darkest three fare far better than the lighter shades. Hella sink in the lip lines, and Ms C doesn’t really have them. More CT light to medium-light warm nudes. Quelle surprise! Actually, it’s no wonder I never get excited by CT. All but the last two would look big wrong. Nothing wrong with a write off. Still, would like to see the line in person…even on the rare occasions s.t. suits me, can’t pull the trigger, even at Beautylish.

I’m not fond of the dry matte look, so likely passing on these. I read one person described the formula as moussey and they looked fine on her. CT’s lipsticks are hit and miss for me, so I wait until I can try on at the counter.

While they are nice colors, and the formula looks nice on the lips I don’t think they’re anything special – colors wise. Although this is what Charlotte Tilbury puts out regularly, so I might look into these if the formula is great.
Dangerous Liaison catches my eye, can’t wait to see the review for it!

shades are gorgeous, but honestly it’s not like these colours haven’t been done before… by multiple independent and corporate owned brands *cough*… as usual, thank you for the swatches 😀
easy pass for me…sorry CT!

I’m 95% over liquid mattes, she’s pretty late to the party here. That said, I’m OPEN to trying Show Girl if there isn’t a classic lipstick formulated dupe that catches my eye. 😛

I bought Show Girl, Dangerous Liaison and Screen Siren last night. When I swatched them on my hand, the first two looked different enough to justify getting both. DL looked like it had a bit more pink, and SS had a bit more red. On the lips though, they look nearly identical so I’m not thrilled and one might go back. Screen Siren is gorgeous, though and a bit darker on than swatched. I found these to be really thick out of the tube, which requires you to really go inside the lip first to thin out what’s on the doe foot before tackling the edges of your lips. Unlike some comments I’ve read elsewhere, I didn’t find these dried out my lips or settled into my lines (thankfully!). But the colours overall were a disappointment and look very little like her stock photos. As Christine showed, the paler shades in particular are VERY similar and also very warm. Disappointingly, I’ve found this discrepancy in photo colour/real life to be the case with Tilbury lip products before. I’ll fall in love with something on her site and when I see it in person, it’s like a completely different colour.
