Twilight

Sephora Twilight Golden Hour Highlighting Powder ($16.00 for 0.28 oz.) is a brighter, light-medium lavender with cool undertones and a luminous sheen. It had a noticeable glow on the skin, but it did not accentuate my skin’s natural texture.

The formula is supposed to have a “soft, luminous glow with a sheer wash of color” that can be “worn alone or layered.” It had sheer coverage, which was buildable to medium coverage if desired, and of the four shades, this shade was most true to the pigmentation claims made. The consistency was smooth and velvety, where it felt more like a cream product as it was denser. The powder applied evenly to bare skin, blended out nicely, and stayed on for eight hours.

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Because this is a “warmer* shade of lavender, it doesn’t give off as stark a purple hue. Instead, it seems that once you blended it out, it has enough warmth to it that those who don’t have cooler and/or pale/deep skin tone extremes can wear this one! So far, the only lavender highlighter that I’ve been able to wear without looking very strange, has been Nyx Lavender Steele. Sometimes CP Monster can look alright, too.

I can’t decide how this might look on me; I feel like it would be stark on my yellow skin, but it’s sheer enough that it would probably blend and “average” in color with my skintone. I’m intrigued.

I just bought this yesterday and I like it. The colour is really flatering on me. I swatched Dusk too, but Twilight looked best on me. 🙂
