Sephora Tiramisu (13) 12-Hour Contour Eyeliner Pencil (2021) ($11.00 for 0.04 oz.) is a deep brown with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had opaque color payoff in a single stroke, which applied comfortably to the lash line and fluidly for full, even coverage. The texture was smooth, creamy but not too soft, and remained blendable for a few seconds before drying down. It wore nicely for 10 hours with little fading and seemed to have around 75% left after 12-hours of wear.

The formula is supposed to be "ultra-pigmented," "waterproof," and have "12-hour" wear. The majority of the shades were semi-opaque to opaque in a single stroke with a smooth, creamy consistency that had good glide with a few shades being overly soft and more prone to breaking/mushing on the skin (so needed a lighter hand--is less prone to do so when lining the actual eye area rather than swatching on one's arm, though).
They were quick to dry down but had enough creaminess that they could be blended and smudged initially, if desired. While the ingredient lists seemed to differ between this formula and its predecessor (with the same name), the colors, textures, and wear times seemed to be similar. Most shades lasted between nine and 10 hours on me with the more glittery shades having the shortest wear times and the deeper matte shades having the longest wear times.

It had semi-opaque, buildable color coverage that adhered evenly to the lash line and moved fluidly over the skin without tugging. The texture was smooth, lightly creamy but had more of a velvety glide, which helped it deposit even color while not being overly wet and getting into fine lines. It lasted well for nine and a half hours and had about 70% still around after 12 hours of wear.

The texture was smooth, almost velvety, and glided comfortably across my skin without tugging. It had rich, opaque color payoff that deposited color evenly. This shade stayed on well for 10 hours before fading a bit and was still fairly intact after 12 hours of wear (around 70%).

It had semi-opaque, buildable color coverage that looked more even in practice (as an actual thin line of eyeliner) but was a little drier and thicker in comparison to the other shades in the formula, which was more apparent in the swatch. It wore well for 10 hours with light fading and was still quite intact after 12-hours of wear (around 85%).

Thankfully, I do still have quite a bit of my OG Sangria pencil left. Seems to glide on better than their new formula.
As for Stone and Tiramisu, I will probably get one of these for a softer upper tightline for days when I’m wearing less intense looks.
Would you say these are comparable to the (now discontinued) Marc Jacobs Highliner? I need to find a new pencil eyeliner that is waterproof, smudgeproof and basically doesn’t move all day!
Definitely not! These don’t wear as long.
Thank goodness Sephora is continuing with its excellent formula in this range of eye pencils.
There’s been a two dollar increase in these since I started purchasing them. But for the moment Tiramisu still stands as the best quality brown liner I’ve used so…..
