Give Me Glow Vintage Rose Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches
Vintage Rose
Give Me Glow Vintage Rose 8-Pan Pressed Pigment Palette ($34.00 for 0.8 oz.) includes three matte eyeshadows and five shimmer eyeshadows, which are all oversized (almost double typical, single full-sized shades!) housed in a cardboard palette. The eyeshadows were very pigmented, easy to work with, and lasted for eight hours. A few shades were more softly-pressed and had a little fallout during application at “worst.”

Blush Pink
Blush Pink is a vivid, medium pink with cooler, blue undertones and a matte finish. The texture was soft, velvety, and blendable without being too firmly nor too loosely-pressed into the pan. It had rich color payoff that stayed on well for eight hours before fading visibly.

The brand offers matte and foiled finish eyeshadows, though the descriptions are largely the same: "highly pigmented," "blendable," and "finely milled." The difference is with the foiled finish eyeshadows, the brand cautions to use less because they're that pigmented and going in with a heavier hand could cause flaking.
The matte eyeshadows are very pigmented with textures that ranged from soft, velvety, and blendable to soft, more substantial but not as silky or as finely-milled that had true-to-pan pigmentation but were not as blendable. The deeper shades tended to be a little harder to diffuse, especially along the edges, for a seamless blend. Ideally, one would use a mid-tone and lighter shade to soften the edge of a darker matte shade rather than counting on the matte to diffuse perfectly on its own.
The upside is that the deepest mattes are really intense--they're rich with lots of depth and have opaque, even coverage; it's just that edge can be harder to navigate. I preferred using smaller, more precise brushes, especially for areas like the deeper crease, to darken and then build up as necessary, and I'd use a lighter hand with shades that were harder to work with. They are also harder to dupe as many brands lack the intensity and depth, so some might be willing to trade-of blendability for intensity and uniqueness.
Some of the matte eyeshadows--often lighter and more mid-tone--were very blendable on their own along with having full coverage. There were a few of the darker and richer mattes that were slightly more effort to soften along the edges but not truly difficult. There was just some inconsistency in the ease of application with the matte finish. They tended to wear between eight and nine hours before fading noticeably.
They come in oversized pans (relative to average size) at 37mm, and they contain double the product (0.10 oz.) the average eyeshadow does (0.05 oz.).

Thorn
Thorn is a medium-dark olive green with strong, warm undertones and a metallic finish. The consistency was smooth and cream-like, so while it appeared chunkier in the swatch, it didn’t feel that way. I found this shade had to be pressed or patted on, preferrably with a dampened brush, to go on evenly without fallout. It had opaque color payoff that lasted well for eight hours before showing signs of wear.

The difference is with the foiled finish eyeshadows, the brand cautions to use less because they're that pigmented and going in with a heavier hand could cause flaking.
The foiled eyeshadows are incredibly pigmented with a very smooth, creamy consistency that was dense without being too stiff or too firmly-pressed into the pan. I didn't have any issues picking up product with a dry brush, and they also worked well with fingertips or a dampened brush an even more intense, metallic finish that was ultra-shiny.
I found this finish to be more consistent, too, and it was rare to run into major issues with the shades in this finish. There were a few with a touch of fallout or that might have creased a bit faster over time, but by and large, they hit all the high notes for those who love pigmented, metallic eyeshadows. They wore between eight and nine hours, often creasing more than fading on me.
They come in oversized pans (relative to average size) at 37mm, and they contain double the product (0.10 oz.) the average eyeshadow does (0.05 oz.).

The consistency was soft, more velvety without being powdery or prone to fallout, while it was blendable on bare skin. It wore nicely for eight hours before fading a bit.

Copper Rose
Copper Rose is a light-medium copper with moderate, warm undertones and a bright, metallic finish. It was intensely pigmented to the point where a little went a long way, so I’d recommend using a lighter hand with the product. The consistency was creamy, smooth, and blendable while having great adhesion to bare skin. It lasted well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Everything is named with the words rose and glow. I find it so confusing. Had to scroll down to see if this is the same company who makes those incredible multichromes.. nope JD Glow..not Give Me Glow..
This palette looks amazing. Those mattes are seriously seriously pigmented.. love that.
I’d love to cut this in half & make the left a quad.
Because I do have dupes for every shade I really love, this is one I will leave be for others to enjoy. At least until I (ever) use up those that I have.
I really quite like this autumn themed palette – but I do think that first bright pink shade doesn’t belong here. A soft brown shade would have complemented the colour story better, I think.
The palette’s shimmer shades are beautiful – especially Thorn and Copper Rose.
Congratulations to the company! Good quality even for the typical “difficult” colors.
I had never heard of Give Me Glow Cosmetics until your review. I find the palette very interesting but the matte bight pink turns me off. I ventured onto their shopping site. The Christmas Morning Palette seems very interesting to me. I may try that one.
Absolutely lovely.
I love the idea of this palette, but every time I see it, I’m so thrown off by that cool pink matte.
One of my favorite palettes, I get a lot of use out of it. The mattes also make great blushes fyi, I get more use out of the pale pink as a blush than as an eyeshadow.
I have this palette and really adore the formula.
It’s brands like GMG that have really soured me on junk like Dior puts out with its hit or miss formula. It’s not for everyone, but you can build a gorgeous palette with their selection of singles.
Whoops, I’m in love.
Where is this palette manufactured? I couldn’t find the info on their website.
I’d definitely email the company to get the most current answer, but several of the other palettes I have say “Hand made by Give Me Glow Cosmetics” and “Dist. by Give Me Glow Cosmetics, Dallas, Texas USA.” AFAIK, the packaging is made by third-party, but the actual product is made in Texas. Their recent pressed highlighters say “Made in USA Distributed in Arlington, TX.”
Thorn and Aged Rose Stem appeal to me. Everything else is findable elsewhere. If you don’t have such colors in your makeup kit, I’d think this little palette would be a find.
