Sephora Aquarius, Pisces, Aries #Lipstories Reviews & Swatches
Aquarius (87)
Sephora Aquarius (87) Lipstories Lipstick ($8.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a light-medium peach base with flecks of pink and gold micro-sparkle paired with a glossy finish. It had semi-sheer color coverage, which was at odds with the claims the formula made. The texture was lightweight with moderate slip and settled slightly into my deeper lip lines. It wore well for three hours and felt lightly hydrating over time.

Formula Overview
$8.00/0.14 oz. - $57.14 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be "lightweight" with "full-coverage color in one swipe." The majority of shades were pigmented with semi-opaque to full color payoff in a single layer, as described. The more shimmery shades tended to be a bit sheerer overall, while the mattes and creams were usually closer to opaque in coverage.
The textures were typically creamy, lightweight, and not too thin or too thick on the lips, so they were comfortable to apply and to wear. There were some shades where the color pulled into my deeper lip lines upon application, and it was more or less noticeable just depending on the color and finish of the particular.
Some shades seemed hydrating and others were non-drying. They lasted anywhere from three to over six hours on me. There was a subtle, sweet, fruity scent (I couldn't detect it on, just in the tube), and I haven't noticed any taste after wearing them.

LELimited Edition. $8.00.
Pisces (88)
Sephora Pisces (88) Lipstories Lipstick ($8.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a medium-dark pink-coral with subtle, warm undertones and a lightly glossy, cream finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation paired with a lightweight, creamy consistency with moderate slip.
The lipstick was comfortable to apply and to wear, though I found this shade was more prone to separating along my lip lines and catching on any minor imperfections of lip texture. It lasted for four hours and felt lightly moisturizing over time.

Pisces (88)
LELimited Edition. $8.00.
Aries (89)
Sephora Aries (89) Lipstories Lipstick ($8.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a vivid, medium red with moderate, warm undertones and a satin finish. It had rich color payoff in a single stroke, which applied evenly and smoothly across my lips without tugging.
The consistency felt lightly creamy but more velvety and moderately dense. There was a smidgen of product that settled into my deeper lip lines that I saw in the close-up but didn’t detect in person. It stayed on nicely for five and a half hours, left a soft stain behind, and felt lightly hydrating over time.

Considering that Rose Dressing, which has been on my WL forever, is a dupe for Pisces… perhaps they nailed it? LOL 🤣
I seriously don’t subscribe to astrology, so for me this is just an amusement. Technically, I was supposed to be an “Aries” but I decided to arrive 5 weeks early, and so became a so-called “Pisces”. Love both shades! 😉
Isn’t it odd that one’s astrological sign is dictated by their birth? I’m not sure why it’s not based on any other developmental milestone, like conception*…is there really a big difference if you’re in the womb during Leo and then you’re born the next day during Virgo? Ha ha.
* The obvious answer being that conception or any other embryology was a lot less obvious than being born back when astrology was created (and the stars looked quite different from how they do now!), but if there’s an rationalization by modern astrologers, I’m not aware.
So disappointed Aquarius (my star sign) is: 1) in so not an Aquarius color. We’re supposed to be genius oddballs. What is this safeness?, and 2) lacks in pigmentation and sparkle. C’mon Sephora, do better.
Thank you for your review, Christine! I’m loving Pisces. Also picked up Taurus, Cancer (my sign) and Virgo. Very pleased with all. I only wish the packaging was more sturdy. Maybe the cardboard case aids in lowering the price but I’d be willing to spend a few more dollars to have something I could confidently toss in my purse.
Aries is perhaps my favourite shade here.
