Revlon Rosegold ColorBurst Lipgloss Lip Shine
Revlon Rosegold ColorBurst Lipgloss Lip Shine
Revlon Rosegold ColorBurst Lipgloss Lip Shine ($7.49 for 0.20 fl. oz.) is a semi-opaque pink-bronze with gold and pink shimmer. MAC Blessedly Rich is browner. Bobbi Brown Beach doesn’t have pink shimmer and appears a bit darker. Bobbi Brown Canary only contains gold sparkle. Bobbi Brown Raspberry is similar but not as bronzed. Revlon Sunset Peach is more orange, less shimmery.
The ColorBurst formula is supposed to feel lightweight, have a high-shine finish, and yield rich color. It’s also designed to be moisturizing. Rosegold has semi-opaque color coverage, and it wore for four hours on me when I tested out the wear. The texture of the gloss is thin, non-sticky, and lightweight and comfortable. It’s slightly moisturizing, and it has a vanilla scent. The applicator is paddle-shaped, so it tapers and is fairly wide with a flexible tip.

Christine, this is awesome! Â This looks a lot like Chanel’s Glossimer in Unity – I’m addicted to it, but it’s quite spendy! Â I think you found another great dupe! Â
Irina
@Blackadder44 I was thinking it reminded me of the Glossimer in Seashell. I’ll have to check out Unity!Â
I have this and Papaya (Which seems to me to be a dupe for Hourglass’s Nectar, although probably more orange). Â I absolutely love the formula, but I’m not too keen on the initial scent of it :/ is smells sort of plastic-y. Â Have you noticed that Christine?
@Lollybug Nope – they either smell like vanilla or nothing!
@Lollybug I thought that was just me 🙂 I picked up two of these today and when I tried them on at home I was like “What is that scent?” But it faded fast.
This is HG for me I’m Mac nc45 btw
This looks like an exact dupe for MAC “Utterly Posh”.
Hi Christine! I had a completely random question! I’m asking this in the friendliest way possible, I was just wondering…. since you have such a huge, high-tech, expensive camera, how come we can’t click on the photos and enlarge them to see the full size photo? Just wondering 🙂 I know we can zoom the page in, but I think a lot of readers would benefit from seeing a large photo (when clicked). Your blog is amazing and inspiring, I just had this question out of curiosity, not out of negative criticism/hate.
Hi Nikki,
Â
I’ve never felt that larger photos mean better photos – that’s why I provide close-ups so that you can see the detail. The quality of the camera isn’t about making photos bigger but making the photo itself better – better color, clarity, detail, and less post-processing. It’s also important to retain some perspective – the larger the photo, the larger the distortion of the actual product/swatch, since we’re looking at something that’s already often enlarged in the photos we use.
Â
Adding larger photos would also significantly add to our hosting/bandwidth costs–the cost of bandwidth is a major reason why you won’t see a lot of people who host their own images providing huge ones. Â The value/cost proposition usually doesn’t make sense!
@Christine (Temptalia) Thanks for giving me some insight! I was never good with understanding cameras/photography but that makes a lot of sense. I understand about the bandwidth, but usually when I upload photos from my camera onto the computer and open the photo, it looks a lot better than if I wear to make it like 1/4 of the original photo smaller, am I making sense? x_x lol. Plus, I’m using a good digital camera (not a DSLR), and my photos upload pretty huge and detailed, so that’s kinda what I was thinking since you obviously had a DSLR. Do the pictures you upload onto your computer come out like 4x the size of the pictures on the blog? Just wondering 🙂
Â
Thank you for your response!
Nice to know. :3 I got interested in Sunset Peach when you reviewed it earlier and went to check it out then saw Rosegold next to it. XD I absolutely love peachy pink colors with a bit of gold shimmer to them so I wasn’t quite sure between the two that I would’ve wanted to pick out. Rosegold looks gorgeous. :3
Looks like a lighter MAC Blessedly Rich. I should have gotten this instead. lol
I picked up two of these today, Strawberry and Hot Pink. I really like the way the Strawberry looks on me but I’m less thrilled with the Hot Pink. I may have to go back and pick this one up, though – it’s similar to Bobbi Brown Beach, which I wanted, but this is easier on my wallet!
Hi Christine,
I’m just wondering why on this review and Bare Escentuals bareMinerals The 15 Minutes Ready Eyeshadow Duo review there is no, uh, short review in the Glossover? I love the short review because I could just scroll down Temptalia fast and read the only reviews of products I’m interested in 😀
Love this color on you!
I’m going to have to pick this up! Looks semi-natural; perfect for summer!
I absolutely love this lip gloss, it’s almost time for me to get a new one! I like to where it alone or over a nude lipstick.
Looks fab! Adding to the shopping list…
Ever since you did the review for Papaya I picked up two of these glosses! Can’t pass up good, affordable products!
Really hoping you review the new LE Sunbaked gloss by Revlon. I love it and would like t know other dupes for it.
This is my favorite lipgloss range – every single color is amazing and they’re so affordable! Now I want this one 🙂
I just picked up this shade today at CVS! It’s on clearance for $1.99 … although it wasn’t tagged as such (rang up right, though)! Thanks for the review.
I missed this review. Â I like the color very much. Â I bought it about a month ago and it’s great. Â I enjoy this and Sunset Peach, which you also reviewed, very much. Â The pigmentation on this is much better than Sunset Peach. Â
I can’t find this one or Papaya any where, I’ve tried all the drugstore-type places around!! I hope they’re still being made!!!
