Revlon Blushed, Pink in the Afternoon, Teak Rose Super Lustrous Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
Blushed
Revlon Blushed Super Lustrous Lipstick ($8.49 for 0.15 oz.) is a soft, medium coral with warm undertones and a frosted finish. It lacked some of the shine of other shades, and this resulted in the finish being more emphasizing of my lip texture than other shades that looked more luminous on. It had buildable pigmentation from medium to mostly opaque, which applied evenly on my lips. The texture was lightweight, lightly creamy but thin, and was comfortable to wear. This shade lasted nicely for four hours and was hydrating over time.

Formula Overview
$8.49/0.15 oz. - $56.60 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "lightweight color and moisturizing shine" with "buildable color payoff" and a "gliding, smooth application." It's a good formula for those who like medium, buildable coverage with a smooth, balmy consistency that glides across lips easily but doesn't feel too slippery while worn.
They're comfortable to wear with light hydration but tend to wear a shorter length of time--anywhere from two to four hours with a couple of shades reaching a little beyond four hours. What I like most about the formula is the finish: it's luminous and more smoothing, so it's kinder to lips with imperfection or prone to dryness/flaking. The formula has slip but doesn't have any heaviness or slickness that makes it prone to getting into lip lines.

Pink in the Afternoon
Revlon Pink in the Afternoon Super Lustrous Lipstick ($8.49 for 0.15 oz.) is a brighter, medium pink-coral with warm undertones and a lightly glossy, cream finish. The pigmentation was buildable from medium to mostly opaque in two layers.
The lipstick had a lightweight, emollient consistency that was thin without feeling clingy, though this shade had more slip than average compared to others in the range. It did not apply as evenly as I would have liked and had a tendency to separate along some of my deeper lip lines. It wore well for four hours and was lightly moisturizing while worn.

Nostalgia Lane is what I seem to have landed on. Pink In The Afternoon was my main lipstick I wore during the late 80’s into the 90’s. Back then, I had the heavy blonde highlights and big, spiral permed hair, so I did look quite different from how I do now! Looked interesting in old pics, LOL! This shade doesn’t work on me anymore, though.
Then there’s Teak Rose. My Mom’s 2nd lipstick to her infamous watermelon color Revlon Moondrops Lipstick. In her 60’s clear into her early 80’s, she just wore those two!
Blushed is a gorgeous coral shade. Really very pretty.
Blushed is the lipstick I wore on my wedding day. So beautiful, and I only reapplied once, if you can believe it! Now, it will always hold a special place in my makeup vanity 🙂
