Backfire is a muted, medium-dark purple with more neutral undertones and a frosted sheen. The pigmentation was good--nearly opaque--and went on evenly without issue. The texture seemed a touch drier in the pan, but I did not notice this when I applied it to the lid. The color wore well for eight hours before fading.
