Editor's Review

501 is described as a "deep metallic blue with copper micro-glitter." It's a medium-dark, cobalt blue with a pearly sheen and fine copper sparkle. As you might expect, the sparkly bits don't bind well with the underlying color, so they get lost in the brush or drop on the lid when applying, unless you pack it on over a tacky base. The texture was slightly dry and harder to blend out. This one stained my lids slightly for about 36 hours after application, and it also did so even with a primer (UDPP). The color wore well for eight and a half hours before fading. Urban Decay Danger (LE, $19.00) is darker, brighter, cooler (90% similar). LORAC Cobalt (LE, $19.00) is more shimmery (90% similar). KVD Beauty Entombed (DC, ) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). Make Up For Ever D222 Night Blue (DC, $21.00) is more shimmery (90% similar). ColourPop Etiquette (LE, $6.00) is darker (90% similar). Urban Decay Goddess (LE, $19.00) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). Stila Denim (LE, $18.00) is darker, more muted (85% similar). ColourPop Kimono (LE, $6.00) is lighter, brighter (85% similar). Stila Sapphire (LE, $18.00) is cooler (85% similar). Charlotte Tilbury Icon Disco Eyes #2 (LE, ) is less shimmery, cooler (85% similar). Anastasia Azure (LE, $12.00) is less shimmery, lighter (85% similar). Make Up For Ever I218 Indigo Blue (DC, $21.00) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). Chanel Swing (116) (P, $29.50) is more shimmery, darker (85% similar). Urban Decay Dive Bar (DC, $19.00) is more shimmery, lighter (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
