Ink is a medium-dark black with neutral-to-cool undertones and a mostly matte finish. There was a smidgen of micro-shimmer strewn throughout, but it did not appear visible to my eye in person. The eyeshadow had a soft, slightly dusty consistency that needed to be applied with a lighter hand to avoid some fallout. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation that stayed on well for eight hours on me.
